2023.03.22 13:50 douglasgerardkleinsm What Advantages Does Marketing Offer?
| https://preview.redd.it/fftgfjwqeapa1.jpg?width=1000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1a29d119b7ef7e0ec4d949e299b458056d0f515f Marketing has several advantages, including higher sales and revenue, enhanced brand awareness, and increased consumer loyalty. Regardless of the company's size or product, these benefits contribute to its expansion, prosperity, and success. Douglas Gerard Kleinsmith's opinion is that Marketing promotes a product or service to acquire new customers and expand a company's market share. It includes several strategies, including the creation and distribution of marketing materials, online advertising, and public relations operations. Marketers are adept at comprehending individuals and their responses to specific messages. This information can be used to construct marketing strategies that target specific demographics or markets. They can also match products to the demands of potential clients, which is particularly useful when various options are accessible. For instance, a company that offers outdoor camping equipment may conduct marketing efforts that emphasize the longevity and sturdiness of its products. Another significant advantage of marketing is that it can help organizations gain consumer trust. For instance, if a person is purchasing a car, displaying all of the safety features can make them feel more confident in their choice. This might result in increased customer loyalty and increased product recommendations. The primary objective of marketing is to establish a favorable brand image for the organization. This can be accomplished by initiating focused marketing efforts, creating a distinctive and memorable logo, and highlighting the quality of the company's products and services. When a company has a robust and consistent marketing effort, it can substantially affect its industry reputation. This can assist in establishing consumer loyalty and assure the company's continued dominance in its industry. Marketing can assist a business in increasing its sales, which can boost its profit margins and market share. This can help a company raise its profitability and become more appealing to investors. If a business has a solid and consistent sales team, it may be simpler for them to interact with their marketing departments. This might enable the sales staff to inform them whether particular techniques are ineffective or failing to reach the intended audience. This can also assist the sales and marketing teams in collaborating more effectively, which can have a significant impact on a company's success. This can also guarantee that the sales and marketing teams adopt the appropriate tactics for the organization's requirements. This can help save money on effective marketing attempts. Marketing is a vital component of a business' development plan and can be used to expand the company's sales network, client base, and business contacts. However, if a business needs to grasp the benefits of marketing and how to sell a product more successfully, it may struggle to remain profitable and grow. submitted by douglasgerardkleinsm to u/douglasgerardkleinsm [link] [comments] |
2023.03.22 13:48 Basic_Yam2758 Ex husband dropping contact kids
I know I can’t do a lot about this, my head is so messed up I just need to vent it somewhere. Don’t be too hard on me please, feeling very sorry for myself!
Me (34F) and my ex (35M) have three kids together, 12F, 11F and 8F. I have a 14M from a previous (abusive) relationship who husband has brought up as his own since his bio dad checked out and we got together when he was 1. Throughout our marriage he has insisted he loved my boy the same as our joint children and very much played dad to him. My son has ADHD and some behavioural issues, myself and my two oldest daughters are Autistic and ex and youngest are neurotypical.
When we split up he moved into a tiny place and the kids hated going there so we agreed I would give him my house for him when he has the children, one night one week, two nights the next, until he could get a bigger place (he estimated this would be around October 2022). Obviously it’s been a bit rubbish and many nights I’ve slept in my car to accommodate this. He also uses my stuff, doesn’t pay any contribution and doesn’t tidy up after himself or the kids so it has been annoying for me but at the same time it was meant to be temporary and was in the best interests of the kids.
This weekend I asked him (politely I might add) to please tidy up after himself as I’ve asked many times before as it’s very frustrating coming home to mess everywhere to be honest. He then responded that he would not be having the children at my house anymore, he will take the girls to the flat and my oldest he will see 6 hours every fortnight. My 12 year old daughter is refusing to go at all so I will basically have no child free time. I know that they are my children and my responsibility and I’ll obviously make it work, but having three kids with additional needs is very hard work and I’m absolutely devastated I won’t get any real breaks, especially as oldest is currently awaiting a new school and therefore home all the time and one of my daughters is on a reduced timetable as she is struggling so much with school.
I’m so angry and frustrated, I’ve tried to hard to be flexible with him, switching days so he can go on dates with his girlfriend, lending him money when he has spent all his (he has a very good income while I’m on benefits but he is irresponsible with his money), basically anything he’s asked I’ve accommodated and I hate that he has left me without any breaks because he’s decided it’s easier to tidy up after them at his flat and that my son is “too hard work”.
The worst of it is… I know something about him that could absolutely ruin his life, stop him seeing our kids, lose his job, his girlfriend the lot and there is a horrible voice in my head saying I should use this to force his hand but I obviously can’t really as it will clearly effect the kids, and I know ruining him because I’m angry isn’t the answer. I just don’t know how I am going to manage without a break 😔 I have no support network so just needed to vent this somewhere
ETA Since he spends all his money on crap he has made no progress to moving to a larger place, and now he has a new girlfriend he is living with her on the days he doesn’t have the kids and is just at the flat when he has them. On a side note, she is claiming full benefits (UK) so his income has just shot up too but he is also looking at ways to undercut his child maintenance payments 🙄

2023.03.22 13:45 unveganizer Your opinions please :D
So I'm in my 40s.... I'm employed by a tech company for the past 5 years, and I make a decent earning. Something like twice the mimimum salary of what's legal to be paid here, and roughly between 20 to 50% from most of my friends and family. I'm pretty much content there, great working conditions, barely doing a 9-5 , most of the times on the internet like now, playing games, and yeah sometimes actual
work. No emails, no phonecalls, once I return home by 6 they forget I exist.(and some times they forget I exist even when I'm there). A competitor is sieging me, offering a 25% salary increase and other benefits. The CEO literally calls me and says WE WANT YOU! A guy I know works there and says they're fine. But I'm sure that it can't be that chilled out and relaxed as I am here...I mean if I didnt have to go to the office every day, I would think I'm not working..... So the question is, I don't have debts, crazy expenses...I do however have a child that will need more expenses in the future...Do I stay here for a little less that provide me a comfortable life but can't buy a new car or house easily or do the move and regret it the very moment they start emailing me and calling me after work is finished?

2023.03.22 13:39 SPACEJEBUSS DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME ON A CMA/RMA/CNA PROGRAM.... (I am a very upset pre-med student and must vent, thank you)
Hi, I'm 26M. I am a "certified and registered" medical assistant (CRMA) since 2019 [pro tip, there is no difference between CMA and RMA, its literally the same]. I am certified and registered by the American Medical Technologists (AMT). I have always been fascinated by medicine. I was a very young child when I first got hooked, I have been seen every corner of medicine ever since. As it turns out, I'm pretty damn good in the field. I worked on this useless certification since before I was 18. In 2016, I graduated high-school and was a duel enrollment student my senior year. I went to my local community college during duel enrollment and was convinced by my superiors at the time that becoming a CMA was a great way to go.
I was told that by becoming a CRMA I would have bettehigher annual pay rates and higher probability of being hired for jobs. I was told that the credits I would obtain at my community college for this certification would be a great addition to many health related bachelor majors like Pre-Med and RN programs. Even contribute to a faster graduation much "like an associates". Only that I wouldn't have an associates which wouldn't be very "applicable" to the real world after graduation unless I continue to a bachelors. But a certification to get a "large head start".
Jesus fucking Christ, head start this, head start that, benefits here, benefits there. God, I want to vomit just listening to myself regurgitate all these words of affirmation said to me. Over the coarse of nearly 5 YEARS I am here to tell you that NOTHING of what I was assured or told was true.
Now here is the reality of what you will discover, post-covid, what being a CRMA really does for you.
- A CRMA certification grants you NO competitive benefits and NO reasonably competitive annual pay compared to anyone who gets hired with out a CRMA certification.
Literally no Benefits, none. I have been the lowest annually paid Technician, Medical Technician, Mental Health Technician, for EVERY JOB I EVER OBTAINED and WITH my CRMA certification. I worked at many extremely well known medical institutions from Childrens psychiatric residential care hospitals to where I am now working at one of the greatest health care institutions IN THE FUCKING COUNTRY of the USA and I am STILL one of the lowest paid compared to the majority of my fellow technicians. I currently get paid $18.20 an hour in one of the most expensive areas on the east coast. My co-workers laughed at me and then showed me their pay stubs at $24-26 per hour pay FOR THE SAME JOB. Then new hires that came after me getting $22 FOR THE SAME JOB, NO CRMA CERTIFICATION, NO BACHELORS, NOTHING. Yeah. Oh and good luck making that case to your manager. Getting any kind of raise is next to impossible no matter how long you work or how hard you work or how well you work at your position.
- A CRMA certification today will LESSEN your chances of being hired.
Yup, you heard it here first folks. Obtaining your CRMA certification means that you are of a higher education standard and can handle higher responsibilities, conduct more hands on care with patients, and even more universal in the world of medicine assistants for all kinds of levels of care. Yeaaahhh well after covid, that means that any and all health care networks are going to essentially hire anyone else to do those jobs. Qualified or not. According to my past managers, Nursing managers, and most business sides of health care networks, medical assistants have low level qualifications, little education, or education needs to even just become a CRMA. Furthermore, less urgent responsibilities, I guess? I was just doing CPR on a man in a 30 min code sweating my dick off but sure, I guess not. This means that from the business end perspective they don't need someone with higher qualifications to do the same job. It's simple economics. Why pay someone with proper qualifications $35-40,000 when you can choose the less qualified, less trained, and less educated person for $20-25,000 annually and still obtain the same results within a certain field of practice. It's the quantity over quality kind of mentality. Over my many years I have seen so many unqualified, uneducated, and relentlessly lazy individuals work beside me completely unaware of their responsibilities on the floors of the hospital. You WILL experience these people as your co-workers, guaranteed, now days more than ever.
- CRMA CERTIFICATION CLASSES DO NOT CONTRIBUTE JACK SHIT TO A BACHELORS
After all was said and done and I "graduated" (I guess..) from my community college I went on to my bachelors only to find out that 90% OF MY CREDITS I TOOK AT COMMUNITY COLLEGE WERE NOT APPLICIBLE. Literally 90%, I essentially was 21 starting at my 4 year university and at ground zero with barely anything to show for my efforts to get this CRMA certification. Then covid hit, everyone had to go home, and that really messed everything up. I couldn't focus at home and my grades started to tank due to my really awful home situation but I'm not here to talk about that. So I decided to take a gap year to get a night shift Technician job back at home as a float technician. Never the less, in academia I was majorly behind. Yes Yes Yes, I know. Life is not a race, it's a journey. Some of us struggle more than others. However, here I am at 26, I need to work to pay for an apartment (which I can barely pay for because I'm just a tech in a really expensive area), I need to stand on my own 2 feet, I need to pay for my car and car insurance, I need my own health insurance as per required by the state, and I'm LITERALLY JUST A JUNIOR AFTER ALL THIS TIME. I'm part time in school now so I don't burn myself out working and going to school (tried that, nearly 2 years of my life 7 days a week, no sleeping in, no breaks, fall-winter-spring-summer, just to try and catch up and I will never do that again.). So, at the part time pace I'm going I will graduate 3 years or more from now if I don't go full time literally NOW. I WILL BE BASICALLY 30.... If I do go full time in school I'll be able to graduate in about 3 semesters, I have no idea how I'll be able to financially do that even with loans.
- YOU WILL BE EXPOSED TO INTENSE, HARSH, HAZERDOUS, PHYSICAL, EMOTIONAL, AND MENTAL EXTREMES INVOLVING YOUR PATIENTS ALONG SIDE YOUR NURSES AND DOCTORS.
I have worked before, during, and after the worst of what covid-19 had to throw at us on Emergency department (ER), Intensive care, Progressive care, Medical-surgical care, Post Anesthesia care, Observation, hospice, and psychiatric care units/floors/facilities. I have seen families and children watch me as I do CPR on their Father before being shooed away so they aren't scarred for the rest of their life. I was forced to be sat on 1:1's with fully grown men with biceps the size of my face with the body build of a line backer having explosive and uncontrollable manic episodes, convincing themself that us health care workers were human traffickers, and somehow after hours of screaming what I can only describe as absolute madness, have the strength to bend the metal his restraints were tied too. I am 6'2", 220 lbs, consistently go to the gym and play lacrosse the majority of my life and for a moment I wondered if that was going to be my day. Furthermore, later in the day meeting said manic patients wife, I couldn't help but notice the bruises all over her face, her arms, legs, chest... everywhere.
I have witnessed patients with HSV-1 (facial/oral herpes), HSV-2 (Genital herpes) and HIV/AIDS fling various bodily fluids such as blood, spit, urine, excrement, and even ejaculate attempting infect someone with malicious intent. I had one patient admit that they tried to infect another purposefully because they didn't want to feel so alone. Patients will try to get to know you, you're going to be the one they probably see first or most through out the day when they use their call bell. Mostly, they'll want to have normal chit chat in normal ways but there is always that 1 or 2 with other intentions. I have my last name covered on my hospital ID because I WAS FOLLOWED. I am 26M, and all it took was some good and casual conversation talking about ourselves and our lives. I like to talk to my patients and get to know them so they know that I do care about their well being. Obviously, I'm not about to talk about crazy personal details of my life, separation of church and state n all that but that's all it took. Sad to say but even some of the insane have somewhat decent communication skills. A 12 hour shift and some conversation through out one shift, that's really all it takes. That was just one instance, my co-workers (the majority are female) have to many to keep tally.
You will encounter patients who are uncontrollably releasing their bowels and YOU are the one that needs to clean that up. House keeping isn't around the corner all the time and bleach wipes are there for a reason. You will encounter ALL bodily fluids on walls, floors, sinks, tables, chairs, beds, cabinets, and even on the ceiling (rare but yeah). You will be most likely responsible for your patients daily hygiene, dental, denture care, and shaving. If a patient is incapable of wiping after they released their bowls, and yes sometimes a little to early, got poop on themselves, their gown, socks, and down their leg... yup you guessed it, YOU gotta clean it up and in some cases re-wash the patient entirely. Most cases, your nurse or any help from fellow techs will be somewhere else probably dealing with another mess. Personal hygiene is ABSOLUTELY IMPORTANT for a patients health care while they are in your care. It's been proven that daily hygiene being done accelerates patient discharge rates. It matters. Which is why our position matters. If we don't wash our patients on a daily basis they will be more susceptible to infections and diseases. Especially if the patient is already immunocompromised. Depending on what unit you will be working on. You will also likely be responsible for checking equipment, making sure equipment is up to date, doing quality checks on defibrillators, refrigerators, and various other equipment that your unit uses every single day and for multiple times a day. I once witnessed two nurses go feral over a bladder scanner, I already bladder scanned both their patients by that time, both patients were fine. I could rant for an unfathomable amount of time about this position and all the essential things that we must do and provide with quality care and consistent accuracy. Don't get me started on Vaccinations at urgent cares, phlebotomy, obtaining samples for lab to do their mad scientist stuff, and the differences of technician/medical assistant responsibilities between different networks.
Conclusion...
This is a small section of what it means to be a dedicated Medical Assistant/Technician. Do yourself a favor. If everything I said doesn't worry you much, go for it. If you want the experience or the desire for the experience and you are in a state where you can value the experiences more than the pay, go for it. I was like that once too, now I have no choice but to think more about how I will pay for myself and my future. Regardless, The Lord knows we need the help and I'll be happy to meet you and train you. However, you must know that you will always be appreciated. You'll hear the phrase "we appreciate you" or "Thank you for all your help today", from your nurses, fellow techs, managers, nursing managers, and doctors alike right before you leave to clock out. You'll just never be properly valued the way you should for the immense efforts you provide. You'll be just a tech. The health care field worker bee....

2023.03.22 13:37 scottiethegoonie Anyone ever get DUPED into doing a recovery?
On the surface is sounds okay. Get paid a flat sum + hourly. Rental car there, grab the truck then take it back. I do my DD, get the registration and permits before I leave, having everything planned - good to go.
Reality: Get to body shop and the place is closed. Parts, Service, and Body ALL have different hours. I come back the next day. I get the truck and of course it's filled with the previous driver's strange stuff. Cowboy hat, RC Cola, Skoal, and a bunch of softcore page turners wtf... Also, this 2019 Cascadia was ordered with NO battery kill switch?? So we trickle charge it for 2 hours while I clean the filth for 2 hours. Zero fuel left.
I limp it to the nearest fuel station then the fun begins. I have to call management just go get fuel authorized. Then call again to get the trip planners to set my next available time. Then I get to the nearest yard b/c this truck is missing triangles and chocks - gate won't let me in because the truck is still registered "out of service". Each call takes 30+ mins to get someone on the phone. By now it's already after hours and the overnight placeholders who answer the phone can't do shit for me.
I have to basically bully my way into the yard, where I'm stuck until normal hours. 3 whole days wasted + a ton of physical exertion moving shit in/out of the truck. Didn't eat all day, just worked. Calling and waiting. It was the first time when I understood why people just abandon trucks on the road. You can do everything correctly and your management will just forget to do a few minor things that will just screw you over and leave you stuck in the rain. They don't respect your time and their casual mistake = you not making money.

2023.03.22 13:32 Probably-Potato Looking to buy a car via monthly payments for the first time
Hey y’all, hope it’s a good day for people on here.
I am a young adult, who has has the luxury of getting my parents cars as they’re about to break. It has typically been free which I am very thankful for. On other occasions they have helped me find a “good” used rustbucket for 1-2k and I’ve used that for a few years.
I’ve been out of the house for 3 years now and have a solid caree rental agreement/ etc.
I can afford maybe a 2-4k down payment and a monthly payment of 250 or less without compromising my current savings goals. I would also like to have the car paid off by 1-2 years.
My preferences: small cars (maybe 2 door) gas mileage, reliability.
This being said for the right price, I would be happy with any vehicle, I work outside gardening and for movers so a larger vehicle wouldn’t be the end of the world, I do simply prefer smaller more efficient vehicles. No colobrand/year preference
Thank y’all for any help.

2023.03.22 13:16 SnooDoggos6382 [Tenant US-OH] Responsible, high income earner looking to move, but in an unusual situation. Advice from landlords please!
Just for context - I am what my locality would consider a high income earner. I make six figures, not including bonuses. I also have court ordered child support for roughly $2,100/month paid to me. Also notable, I have a great rental history and zero criminal background what so ever. I am 30 years old with very stable employment and I’ve been at my current job as an Operations Director for a few years.
Long story short, I went through a pretty horrible divorce a few years ago. Happy to have escaped the abuse, but it feels like issues from it are following me. During the time I was married, my ex husband and I lived in really nice home we purchased. In the divorce, I just wanted away and quickly, so I gave him the house and all of its equity. He sold it for a pretty penny when the housing market exploded during the pandemic. Good for him. In exchange, he agreed to pay off most of the marital debt. This is all in writing and court ordered. Long story short, I go to check my credit report a few months ago, and my ex essentially went to the credit bureau claiming the joint debts were “belonging to an ex spouse” and disputed them! My attorney is well aware, and we have now served him with contempt and a motion to show cause is set to be heard May 11th. Serving him was hellacious since he took off about a year ago to move to Alaska, never sees our kids, and found a new partner. Anyway, we both have attorneys and he knows he’s screwed according to my lawyer. The problem is, these marital debts have absolutely tanked my credit. I don’t have much credit other than a small credit card and my car, that’s halfway paid off. The debts he was required to pay total about $35,000. They are marked as bad debt on my credit report as well as collections and have dropped my score by an uncomfortable amount.
I am looking to move in May. Of all months. My lease is up on my current place. I’ve lived here with my kids since the divorce, and it’s a good sized luxury apartment. I didn’t want to deal with mowing the lawn and all the upkeep of a house while going through such an uncertain time in my life, so this was perfect at the time. 3 years later, I’m ready for a home with a yard for my kids. I don’t think my credit score qualifies me for many of the homes I’d like. I feel like landlords hear BS stories all the time from potential renters, and I don’t want to come off that way by bringing up my situation. Should I show a future landlord the court order and the motion of contempt ordered to be heard on May 11th? Any and all advice here is welcome and appreciated.

2023.03.22 13:09 holyguacamole- Why is housing so unaffordable now?
My rent has been increasing for 10% for ever contract renewal. I’m looking for other options but every solo rental place is so expensive. (I used to have roommates but I don’t want to share a living space with roommates again for privacy reasons)
Want a condo/apartment near your workplace? Too bad, that’s around 10-20k per month.
Want a cheaper place? Too bad, it’s too far from the main road and commuting there is a hassle if you don’t have a car.
Want to save up for a house and lot? The cheapest house and lot you can buy will not be lower than 2-5M for a small 2 story house just outside Metro Manila
As someone who already spends almost half of my income on rent, what choice do I have??? I’m already in my mid 20s and my parents were able to afford a house and lot in their late-early 30s.
I haven’t even saved up enough to afford the dp on housing… I also did the math that if I am saving at least 20-30% of my income per month, it still wouldn’t reach an ideal amount to purchase a house. Sure, I have an option to avail a housing loan, but the interest rates will be a pain in the ass.
Is housing really that fucked up and expensive??? Or am I just poor as fuck??? Or both??? How are you able to afford a place on your own?

2023.03.22 13:00 Complete-Pea-8090 My ex situationship tried to connect with me on LinkedIn after I blocked him on all social media
After 2 months of no contact, I blocked my ex situationship in all social media platforms last week. 3 days later he sent me a request to connect on LinkedIn. This really bothered me so I unblocked him on insta and asked him what is wrong with him. Last time we spoke he told me to never contact him again so I found it weird he is reaching out to me on LinkedIn. He said he was looking at my photos the other day and missed my body. He said he only missed my body and not me because I’m “mean and annoying”. This obviously hurt me as I had feelings for him and he always said he had affection for me but we will never be more than friends with benefits, hence why I had to stop seeing him. I replied and said he must be bored or haven’t replace me since he is doing this. He said he hasn’t replaced me and haven’t really met anyone (i know this was a lie), and proceeded to brag about he has been working out and tanning and he is now in the best shape of his life. He presumed I haven’t found anybody else too since I replied to him. I said i didn’t ask and I don’t care and that I am doing better than him, and that I only replied because i found it amusing that he contacted me on LinkedIn after telling me to never contact him again. This was a lie.. I am not doing better. I had to move out from my previous home and now live in the basement of my grandparents as I could not find a place due to the rental crisis here. I am depressed as fuck because of this. I haven’t been working out and although I have gone out on dates, I haven’t moved on from him and I always compare them to him. But I didn’t want him to know this because I know he will only take advantage of me. Even though I know he only contacted me again to mess with me and use me, I still felt bad that I rejected him. Some part of me tells me, if he only wanted me for my body then why is he acting obsessed over me and stalking me online? But I have to remind myself to mot be delusional, that if he wanted me he would have said that. I want him so badly but he is so bad for me. I blocked him on everything now including LinkedIn. I cry every time I come home from a date and I feel so fucking empty. I just want to genuinely move on already and forget him.

2023.03.22 12:58 Georgiayardbarns Why choose Portable Garages from GYB
| Our cars need weather protection to maintain their interior and exterior quality. Be it anything rains, snow, hail, or even sunlight, we can't compromise our vehicle. So, portable garages typically feature an all-steel frame that is sturdy enough to withstand harsh weather. The significant benefits of portable garages are that they pose as an ideal solution for houses with fewer garage rooms. Besides, they can be more beneficial than permanent garages in different ways. It is essential to remember that one must choose durable, good-quality fabrics that can withstand harsh outdoor conditions for the covers of your transportable carports; otherwise, their purpose might not be utilized. Where the maintenance measures of these garages are concerned, they must only be brought down and given a good scrubbing. It is also essential to keep the car shelters free of dirt; therefore, be sure to choose the best car garage vacuum to maintain the space's cleanliness. As the name suggests, portable garages, therefore, portability is a primary advantage associated with these types of shelters, as they can be shifted to various locations on the premises and carried along when changing houses. Also, during winters, they can be positioned in the backyard; in the summertime, you can park them in front of your house to gain better access to your home. Georgia Yard Barns have beautifully designed treated portable garages for your needs. These are available in standard 12'-width with two lengths to choose from, 24' and 32'. All these models include a 9' x 6'-6″ roll-up garage door, one metal door, and one 2' x 3' window. These garages are an ideal large storage solution. 2023.03.22 12:54 Beautiful_Wolf_8141 Personal Loan advice
Hey all, I'm someone who used to have a fully paid off house mortgage, an investment property downt the beach, and some toys to play with in the ocean. I had owned the car outright and things were great financially. We started off in humble beginnings, but turned it around over time. We also had three kids together. Now, after 12 years, I left him for many reasons but one major one being treated with absolute disrespect in all areas if you know what I mean. It was too much and caused me significant depression. We seperated. (still married though) and have legally financially seperated. I have now hit rock bottom financially, becasue I ended up having 'lost dogs syndrome' and seemed to attract guys that required financial help, and a place to live. So yeah, I feel shit about that, so don't need to remind myself about anything. Anyway, my question here tonight, is, as the banks have all said a big fat no to me to borrowing even a small amount, I am unable to source a personal loan in order to help get me back on track financially. I am a wedding and portrait photographer who can clearly service a loan, however due to bad credit rating (thanks to stupid ex's influencing me and me feeling compelled to help) - yes, I'm a dick. But due to that, I am now on the hunt for someone that isn't a 'bank' that will provide me with a loan. Is this even possible? Credit rating is average. And I have had no help from any guy that I have been with. They just took and took and took from me. Is there some kind of investors forum, or an area where actual self made people, allow small loans to people in exchange for either equity in something, or even purely just getting the benefit of a high interest rate versus the bank?
Please no hate. Or sarcasm. This is the hardest and most traumatic time of my life for so many reasons I have not mentioned. Thank you xxx

2023.03.22 12:51 xshef48 I feel like I can’t move out because my family need me in the tenancy
I feel like I can’t move out because my family need me on the tenancy
24M. My family want to move because our current home of 5 years has not been well kept by the landlord. I also planned to get my own place as there is already too many people in our current house.
The problem is I am the only person in my house with good credit and the addition of my salary means potential landlords are more likely to consider our offer.
If include myself on the tenancy when making the offer it could potentially influence benefits my mother is able to claim as I would be liable for rent even when I’m not living there anymore.
Can someone offer advice on how I can navigate this situation. I feel like I can’t move out because my family need me to support their rental applications?

2023.03.22 12:49 Studentloanquestion9 35F How to help my brothers family 30M get on their feet
My brother moved to Hawaii after our Mom died when he was 18. We tried to convince him not to but he still went.
He has had various jobs, but not a career. He's always struggled in some form since it's so expensive.
He ended up meeting and marrying a very nice woman and they had one child. They moved into her parents house and have lived there since (4 years). Most recently they had a second child and decided my brother would not work since they could not afford daycare. His wife has the better job and benefits. They get by but could not afford their own place.
Recently they had some arguments with her family and realized their own place might be better. They have a piece of land with no home and decided to go camp there while they decided what to do.
I got them a tiny cabin rental for a few days while they sorted what they were going to do. They asked if they could move in with me in the states and I said yes but if we got them moved out here, it had to be permanent.
They made amends with the wife's family and decided that they are going to take a personal loan and build a tiny cabin on their land with water encatchment and solar. I obviously cautioned them on the loan and interest rates. She has some student loans that went to collections so she said she can't qualify for a construction loan.
At this point it breaks my heart their life is together but I don't really know what to do to help. Do I force them to come live with us or find them something closer to us? I want them to have a better life, and honestly I don't think they know how.

2023.03.22 12:23 kestrelthequestion Advice for what to do for my (23m) first "real" vacation alone?
TL;DR - I am 23, I have both the ability to and the need to take a vacation, but I'm pretty lost as to where to go from there.
I fully recognize the humor of basically asking "how do I take a vacation?"
I've been working full-time now for nearly a year. My vacation hours are starting to seriously add up (Approx. 60 hours atm, which is more than a full work week), but furthermore, I am in desperate need of taking up a paid vacation. I need it.
Problem is I don't know where. Or what to do. At first I thought I'd get a rental car and road trip from the US East Coast to the West Coast (I absolutely love driving), as there are several places around the Southwest I'd like to see along the way, but its too expensive to take that drive and takes too much time. I then considered flying, but by the time I'd be ready with my funds, it'll be June and that's when every plane ticket skyrockets, making the "cost" problem moot.
So I thought, maybe I'd just go to a city. Any city. I love "the city." But I'm so not used to doing anything by myself, I really don't know what to do. It's easier when you have friends along with you, or are going to a place you have friends in. Either isn't really much of an option. Ironically, this trip is meant to combat my social anxiety. I wish I were confident enough to just walk into a bar in a city and make friends, especially as I'm gay so a lot of my socializing where I live winds up being in gay bars.
I think it's also relevant to reiterate I am 23. I do like an art museum every now and then, but I suppose I'd like to do more than look at paintings as a highlight for a vacation.
