Can someone please help give me some insight on your ideas of what I can ask my pcp or neuro to test for or do? Im wondering if I should have my carotid artery checked. I have a tilt test scheduled for oct :-( they are that busy.
I was literally in the car just chillen in the passenger seat and all of a sudden i felt funny for 2 seconds and then mouth got tingly and tasted a weird taste, heart raced for a few seconds, and legs heavy. It lasted a few seconds.
Normally when this happens I get a wave like feeling in my head, then tingling, weird taste, pit in my stomach heart racing, legs heavy.
Now.im anxious bc it happened and idk what it is. Being tested for pots and stuff in oct. But this is just getting scary and frustrating. Also my pcp, and therapist do not think it is anxiety related. And neuro is on board too.

Neuro says dysautonomia testing but the doctor takes 6-8 months to get into. Just getting scared and frustrated angry all at the same time with this. It happens so randomly.

I'm thinking of buying a budget laptop for my study purpose only, and I was thinking what should I watch out for when buying computers which will work best with linux? Any suggestions on which brand of laptop I should buy? Or which cpu or gpu or wifi cards I should consider when buying a laptop?

It’s my first time posting on one of these types of subreddits.
So a little about me: I’m 20F and live in Sweden. Currently studying basic subject and haven’t made a plan for my future yet. I’m part of the alphabetical soup. I like playing games, particularly dark souls. I also like arts and crafts and watching shitty shows :)
The reason to why I’m posting here is to have a conversation with someone. I have no friends and it’s basically impossible to talk to someone where I live so maybe I could find some cool people online instead to chat with, and maybe I’ll find a friend along the way.

Hope this is okay to ask, or any recommendations for a better sub to ask this question are welcome.
I will be visiting Honolulu later in the year and will be looking for a suitable place to hire a plane for a couple of hours (along with a local guide/instructor).
Have looked at the options, I am still not totally certain what would be best place for me to do this. Only really need a 2 seat plane, I have my PPL so looking for a guide rather than instruction, although depending on plane model, will need guidance in operation.
Your help is gratefully appreciated.

1. A new building, the Shipyard, can be built on a field tile adjacent to water or a shallow water tile. Each city can only build 1 shipyard, which costs 20 stars (subject to change).
   
2. The shipyard is used to directly create naval units on it. These units are the primary units of naval combat. They cannot capture cities or villages but can investigate ruins on water.
   
3. The 15 star battleship upgrade will be removed. Units can still be upgraded to the 5 star ship for mobility and damage increases. All boat and ship HP is standardized to 15 regardless of the original unit. This is the HP of the ship itself; once it lands, the original unit retains however much HP it had before it entered a port and became a boat/ship. A giant can board a boat, receive damage so it's left with 1 HP, and have 40 HP when it lands again. If this change makes them too vulnerable, I'm willing to revert it.
   
4. A city can create both a standard unit in the city itself and a naval unit in its corresponding shipyard in the same turn.
   
5. New naval units:
   

• Man of war: 30 stars; 30 HP, 5 ATK, 4 DEF, 2 Movement, 3 Range; Scout/Float
  
  • The Man of war is the strongest naval unit. It's tough and has a long range, but is slow and lacks dash. It's meant to be a siege engine against cities and a dangerous threat to other ships when its turn comes to attack. Men of war can inflict significant damage to each other, providing a counter to itself.
• Frigate: 15 stars; 15 HP, 3 ATK, 2 DEF, 2 Movement, 2 Range; Dash/Escape/Float
  
  • The Frigate is the general purpose ship and the backbone of navies. It's fast with reasonable damage output, but lacks the raw firepower of the man of war. You may notice that with its stats and Escape ability, it's similar to Aquarion's Tridention. I wrote this with an Aquarion rework in mind, so the Tridention would be a drastically different unit then.
• Trireme: 20 stars; 10 HP, 4 ATK, 1 DEF, 2 Movement, 1 Range; Dash/Persist/Float
  
  • The Trireme is a ship built for ramming. It can only attack in melee range but comes with a hefty 4 ATK for that purpose, and with its Persist skill, it can go on to attack other adjacent ships. Its low HP and DEF, though, make it a glass cannon and a one hit wonder. They're meant to counter frigates and fire ships (as described below) and as a general source of damage without much staying power. Like knights on land, the Trireme also counters itself.
• Fire ship: 20 stars: 5 HP, 3.5 ATK, 0 DEF, 3 Movement, 1 Range; Dash/Splash/Ignite/Float
  
  • The Fire ship is an unmanned vessel guided by magic to enemy units. When it attacks, it self-destructs, immediately damaging all enemy units in the 3x3 area around itself via its 3.5 ATK and sets them on fire via its Ignite ability. Units set on fire lose 3 HP per turn for the next 4 turns unless they perform the "Douse" option, which is similar to Recover or Break Ice and consumes their next turn.

In addition to all of this, the standard 5 star ship with its 15 HP, 2 ATK, 2 DEF, 3 Movement, and 2 Range will still exist. Warrior spam is the cheapest option for them.

44 F considering functional rhinoplasty, doctor's notes below. I learned a couple of months ago that a big reason why my nose feels stuffy year-round (not just during allergy season) is due to nasal valve collapse.
At the initial consultation, the doctor said that a rhinoplasty can help, but he did not wholeheartedly recommend it, mainly due to the possibility of negative outcomes, such as permanent numbness in the tip of the nose or permanent nasal drip. He's especially concerned about the latter, because that would make my situation worse instead of better. However, he couldn't provide a specific estimate of the various risks. For example, he said that under 5% of patients had the Nadal drip issue, but he admitted that this is an estimate based on the rhinoplasties he's done, and he couldn't find any study/meta analysis about negative outcomes.
A Google search didn't turn up any helpful statistics, which is not surprising given that the doctor himself couldn't find a good source for this data.
FWIW this doctor is a young professor at a university medical center. He said he's completed 300 rhinoplasties since he started the job 3 years ago. I'm glad that he wasn't overselling the surgery, but I feel like it's important to know and be realistic about the potential negative effects of the surgery. If there's too much risk of negative outcomes, I'll just suck it up and deal with the situation for another 40+ years.

The patient has significant structural abnormalities leading to nasal obstruction (septal deviation, internal nasal valve collapse, turbinate hypertrophy) that is not controlled by medical therapy. Other causal factors have been ruled out. I have recommended open functional septorhinoplasy with structural grafting from the nasal septum that will include: spreader grafting and lateral crural strut grafting. Additionally they would benefit from bilateral inferior turbinate reduction.

My sibling and I are both successful people with careers and families of our own and we have not in any way brought shame upon his name or family other than expressing desire for our truth to be known and the truth of what happened to our family to be known. The people who have chosen to exclude us have done so our whole lives and it is our opinion that this is the last attempt to push us to the side.

I was abused and traumatized as a child. SO when I became an adult I just withdrew from society. I have always barely survived. Now I am over 40 and I have nothing, and my body has pain along with my mind. I have learned what is wrong with me mentally. I still need to work on it, but its a start.
I really dream of a simple life. Being able to have a quite safe place to live. Lots of plants around me. Maybe a few animals. A place to do arts and crafts. A green house and garden. A partner. I dont think Im asking for much, but it seems like I am asking for the moon.
I have actually developed a lot of skills, and Im decently intelligent, but fearful of people. Im good with computers. I can do 3d art and animation. I can use photoshop and lightroom. I enjoy stuff like obsidian, and rpgmaker. Im not great at coding. I do understand it a little.
Im good at design and building. I have made a lot of different stuff. I made the truck camper I am currently living in. I can fix things. I enjoy drawing and painting. I like crafts. I have created things in lots of mediums. I also spent a few years absolutely absorbed in photography.
I am decent at writing, and have studied psychology and philosophy. Mostly psychology. I ran a subreddit for over a year for people abused in childhood, and when I shut it down. Many people thanked me for making a difference in their life.
I guess I could keep going listing stuff for a while. My basic point is that I have useful skills, but how do I translate those into a living wage? How do I do this without being overwhelmed with socializing? How can I receive the healing help I need. When I am really struggling with my mental health and I live in a homemade camper all by myself?
It feels like I am so far from the starting line, and the clock is running out. It feels like if I could just have my basic needs met and a little safety and security, along with therapy. I could become a useful person to this world. Instead time just keeps slipping by and I dissociate to tolerate my existence.

I started some weeks ago with a Gaggia classic pro (and an old Grinder, which was a interim solution). My goal was a good entry with a (for me) good value for money. A good grinder is crucial for me. I was guided by reddit and youtube and purchased the G-iota DF64. The quality of the device convinced me. I am very satisfied with the grinding result and the taste experience. A good combination to start making espresso... Now I have read somewhere about the DF64: ... "It’s not perfect, but it seems to be built for the sole purpose of being modded? HELLO EVERYONE!
I passed high school in 2016 from West Bengal & I was trying to qualify NEET to get admission in a government medical college, but I didn't qualify for a government MBBS seat in all of my previous attempts. So, I also took WBJEE 2023 exam and recently they published the rank card and I got a rank under 110. So, after checking previous year ranks, I am sure I'll get into either Jadavpur University or University of Calcutta, but which one should I choose studying (educational_info: ) B.E. IT in Jadavpur University Or doing B.Tech CSE from University of Calcutta?
Will it be difficult to get a good placement for me if I start my B.tech now because I am too old and have so many gap years! I only went for college for a B.Sc. degree and spent 1 years in total in that college and during all the other years I kept on trying to crack NEET but I failed miserably. I have no option now other than studying engineering. So, which one should be best option for me?
I am already too old and during placement season if I can't even grab some good offers, I don't know what I'll do, my parents already know that I am a failure, relatives and all others always made fun of me because I failed and wasted so many years. I know that mass recruiters and few companies don't accept students with study gaps after high school, then what should I do?
Will I even get a good job offer if I worked hard during my time in either Jadavpur University or University of Calcutta? I don't know anyone who studied from these 2 universities, so I don't know much about them, I just know they are 2 of the best universities for engineering in my state.
