What's new

Longines Adds To The Spirit Collection With The New Flyback Chronograph
/ Longines’ Spirit line has been a reliable source of handsome and heritage-inspired pilot's watches. New to the line is today's Flyback Chronograph, an evolution of the chrono released in 2020. The watch is still 42mm with large Arabic numerals and 100m of water resistance but from there everything changes. The most obvious update is the flyback functionality which allows the user to instantly reset the chronograph seconds hand to zero, streamlining the stop, start, reset function of a regular chronograph.
The new Flyback Chronograph loses a subdial and date from the non-flyback model. There's a bidirectional rotating bezel with a ceramic insert and the watch comes in either a blue or black sunray dial. The Super-LumiNova gives a nice lume on the numerals on both the dial and bezel. Strap options include brown leather, blue fabric, and beige NATO or a stainless steel bracelet. Inside there's the new COSC-certified L791.4 movement (with silicon balance spring) which is on full display thanks to the transparent sapphire caseback.
Pricing is actually really great for all the functionalities is gives - $4,450. If they could just remove the five star review they gave themselves on the dial, this would be a top 10 watch to have.
Breitling's Top Time Classic Cars Collection Goes In-House And Adds A Thunderbird
/ Collaborations between watch brands and car makers often end up on the wrong side of tacky. Aston Martin and Bentley make gorgeous cars but most of the watches they lent their name to were horrible. Do we even have to mention what Ferrari did with Hublot? However, every now and again we get a collaboration that’s not only perfect, but could be one of the best watches in the brand’s lineup.
And that’s exactly the case with the Breitling Top Time Classic Cars Editions. In 2021 the brand unveiled three new Top Time models connected to American sports cars from the ’60s - the Corvette, Cobra and Mustang. The watches had stood a huge chance of becoming horrible homages, but ended up being colorful chronos with bold design and a hit for the company.
Now, 18 months later, Breitling announces they are adding a new model inspired by the Ford Thunderbird and all four models of the Top Time Classic Cars Editions are getting their in-house chronograph movement.
Each of the available colorways represents a specific link to one of four well-known classic cars – the Chevrolet Corvette (red), the Ford Thunderbird (white), the Shelby Cobra (blue), and the Ford Mustang (green). These new models are 41mm wide (down from 42mm) and all four are fitted with a Breitling B01 automatic chronograph movement. All four don’t have a date and the Mustang, Corvette, and Thunderbird models all have three subdials providing a 12-hour maximum measure and 1/4th of a second resolution. The Shelby Cobra model uses two subdials for the chronograph and has a maximum measure of 30 minutes.
Pricing starts at $8,000 on a leather strap or $8,440 on a steel mesh bracelet. Love it!

Breitling Introduces Six New Premier B01 Chronograph 42 Models
/ The Breitling Premier Chronograph line gets a refresh in a 42mm, B01-powered form. This is a historically important collection to Breitling as it represents the shift the brand made in the 1940s from core utilitarian tool-watches to something with a bit more panache. In 2021, the brand released the 40mm Breitling Premier Heritage Chrono, a 40mm model which directly played on the, well, heritage of the model range. That watch was powered by the brand's B09 movement.
Now, for 2023 there are updates to the model. At a quick glance, the six new Breitling Premier B01 Chronograph 42 watches almost seem like models that should already exist somewhere in the brand’s catalog. The new stainless steel watches now feature applied Arabic numerals instead of baton markers, syringe-style hands, a new sub-register layout, and new dial text that reads "Chronograph Premier," instead of "Chronometer Premier." This model also gets the in-house B01 chronograph movement, which has COSC certification.
The Premier premieres today with a bracelet and a new set of dial colors. In all, there are five new dial options of black, blue, salmon, green, or cream. There is even an 18k red gold model, also on a strap or bracelet. The stainless steel models will cost $9,100 on the strap and $9,500 on a bracelet. The 18k gold model will cost $20,200 on the strap and $39,700 on a bracelet.
The Ressence TYPE 1° Round Is A Streamlined Take On Its Classic Watch
/ I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again - Ressence is my favorite watchmaker and the oil-filled Type 3 is my grail. So know they can do nothing wrong in my book. Of course I love their update of the Type 1 model with the new essential Round version.
The Type 1 is basically the backbone of the collection, an evolution of the Zero Series which introduced their unique way of displaying time using gears and discs. We’ve seen gradual evolutions, first by removing the crown, then by changing the case design. First came the Type 1 Square, and then the Type 1 Slim.
The Ressence TYPE 1° Round, this is nothing more than a modernized take on the brand’s signature watch, slightly redesigned to remain coherent with other creations currently available. The grade 5 titanium case measures 42.7mm in diameter, with a compact 11mm height. Some work has been done to the dial too, but not so much about the emblematic display. Available in a classic black edition too, it’s mostly the circular brushed blue model that is there to catch the attention. The discs have now a sunray-brushed surface, adding depth to the whole assembly, while the dial has been graphically simplified with indexes every 10 minutes and a weekday dial that subtly unites the 2 non-working days of the week with a touch of colour. Also, the seconds and weekdays hands are larger for improved reading.
The Ressence TYPE 1° Round will be available worldwide in two finishes – Black and Night Blue – from June 2023 as part of the permanent collection, and priced at CHF 16,800 (excl. taxes).

/ Say what you will, but MB&F makes some very interesting watches. While their Horological Machines line might be a bit out there, the Legacy Machine line, while still not a practical daily beater, is an acceptable exploration of what’s possible in horology.
And since its launch in 2015, MB&F's Legacy Machine (LM) Perpetual has come in a lot of metals. red gold, platinum, white gold, titanium, yellow gold, and palladium... But there’s one metal they never made - steel. That’s why they announced today that they are launching the LM Perpetual in stainless steel, with a tasty salmon dial to boot.
Everything else remains pretty much the same - the fully integrated 581-component caliber, the 44mm wide and 17.5mm thick case… The price also remains eye-watering at $180,000. Good news for everyone who can afford it, it won’t be a limited edition.

Elisabeth watched the airlock close behind her before turning back towards Jackson and Pavel.
"Clear!" Jackson shouted over their coms.
Elisabeth locked out into the void, without the atmosphere and light pollution of Earth you could see all manner of stars illuminating the sky.
"DC reported that the engines are unresponsive, probably why we lost thrust. So, we’re heading there first." Elisabeth ordered the two.
They walked in the silence of space, the only sounds they heard were their breathing and their suits activating and deactivating their magnetic clamps in their boots as they moved. The gangway they were walking on was a metal grid about two meters wide.
Elisabeth looked forward the other two in front of her. Jacksons suit was a dark orange with grey mixed in between and black accents. Pavels suit was polar-white with blue accents, on the front plating a ring of stars was engraved on his suit. Elisabeth herself wore a light gray suit with some darker grays mixed in.
Every few steps one of the trio would look behind them to make sure no one could sneak up on them.
"Junction up ahead." Pavel said through their coms.
"Spartan take right, Pavel take left, I’ll watch center." Elisabeth responded.
The trio moved towards the four-way junction, slowly creeping towards the corners. When they reached them, Elisabeth waited a second before giving the signal.
They both peaked around the corners ready to shoot anything that moved. They both looked either way before giving the hand-gesture to continue.
Elisabeth rushed forwards to the other side. She continued checking both sides before the other two joined her and they continued walking down the walkway.
"Ok, I’ll take point from here." Elisabeth said before she walked past them, continuing to walk in the front of the pair.
"About 40 meters till we arrive at the back." Jackson called out.
"Captain. Hit on radar, about 2707 meters out above us. Width 14 meters, length 29 meters." Pavel announced.
"Copy Rookie, Spartan give us some cover." Elisabeth ordered.
Jackson kneeled training his rifle towards the end of the walkway before answering, "Copy."
"Ping it for me Rookie." Elisabeth asked, when an object was marked on her HUD, "Got it."
She zoomed in with her camera which was built into her suit, holding her weapon up ready to shoot.
"Well now we know what happened to the engines, the whole thruster-section’s been disconnected. Let's check the rest of the engines." Elisabeth said.
The three of them moved to the end of the walkway. Before them they could see the shaft too which the thrusters were once attached too. The end of the shaft was cut clean and visibly glowing red. To their right they saw one of the eight large ball tanks completely ripped open, the metal and polymers stretching outward into space.
"What the hell happened?" Pavel asked the group.
After a couple of minutes of silence Jackson finally spoke, "This isn’t normal."
"None of this is normal!" Pavel shouted.
"Look at the end-piece. It’s cut clean, as if cut with a knife. If we were hit by something like an asteroid or if a bomb exploded the shaft would be a lot more bent and there would a ton of shrapnel floating around." Jackson explained, "Not to mention the heat that’s radiating from that thing."
"Yes, something’s not adding up." Elisabeth turned back towards the direction they came from before turning on her radio, "Damage-Control, this is Marine 2. The engines have been cut off from the main superstructure and are now floating about 2873 meters out and increasing. Tank 7 has been blown out and depressurized."
There was a silence before the radio turned back on, "*static* This is Damage-Control, Marine 2 please repeat. Did you just say the engines have been cut off from the ship?"
"Affirmative, the distance between the ship and the engines are increasing at about 0,9 meters per second." Elisabeth reported back.
"Understood Marine 2, please continue with the visual inspection of the hull. Our Engineers should arrive shortly." Was heard through the teams’ radios.
The team continued checking the various areas of the engines while Elisabeth replied, "Understood Damage-Control, continuing visual inspection."

Sickbay was a mess as the Major entered the room, there were more people in the room than it was designed to handle. Blood was floating around freely, as the walls were lined with the wounded strapped to foldable beds.
One of the Doctors noticed him entering and headed towards him, "Put him down over here."
The Major laid Captain Levy onto the bed before strapping him down, while the Doctor checked the Captain. As he looked at his hurt friend, another Attendant floated towards him wanting to check for any injuries he had.
Major Smith waved him away, "No, no. I’m fine, got to get back to work."
The Attendant turned away muttering something about him being stubborn.
The Major floated towards one of the display panels to the side of the room reading through the preliminary damage reports, before turning around and heading out of the room to let the Doctors work unimpeded, "Legacy, you working again?"
The pitch varied chaotically as the speakers answered, 'aFfiRmaTivE MajOR smiTH.'
The Major raised an eyebrow at the response, "You okay Legacy?"
The speakers cut out before a very feminine voice answered, 'I’m sorry Major it appears that the electronics of the Ship have been damaged.'
The Major stopped before questioning the Legacy again, "Legacy you’re starting to creep me out, could you run a diagnostic of yourself for me?"
'I am working perfectly Major.' The voice replied.
The Major continued towards the control-room, passing multiple Engineers working on open panels inside the hallway, "Very well…"
He had other problems he had to deal with.

Nadja felt terrible, they had strapped themselves in after they had heard the announcement, but they weren't expecting what came next. Looking around she could see the others struggling after taking on the heavy g-forces. Sofiá had puked across the room, which now floated slowly in zero-g. Jīn seemed to be doing the best, slowly getting out of his seat and floating over to Robin who had gone limp.
After checking on the others Jīn came over to her. She looked up at him coughing while talking, "We need to get them- ack, we need to get them to Sickbay."
"Slow down there Nadja, you're not doing so well yourself." He answered weakly, gesturing to her Harness he continued, "Let me get you out of this first, then we'll take them over there."

The Major entered the control room, the doors automatically closing behind him, and strapped himself into the Captain’s chair.
Various crewmembers were busy coordinating and routing people to repair efforts.
He opened his terminal going down the list of his crew, he had thankfully only lost a very few from the crew, with most suffering light injuries. As he scrolled down to the end of the list he was taken aback, stopping at the section titled ‘civilian passengers’.
He scrolled through the list of 6 kids thinking about what he should do.
"Daniels, do you still have the telemetry for that Object?" The Major asked.
The room became quiet, with the crew looking at the two men.
"Certainly Sir." Daniels replied.
"How much time do we have before it catches up to us?" The Major asked with a dead pan voice.
Daniels looked at his display before hesitantly answering, "About fourteen hours Sir."
The Major sighed, "Legacy please broadcast me over the intercom."
'You are being broadcast Major Smith.' Legacy replied.
The Major looked around the room, "This is Major Oliver Smith, the Captain has currently been incapacitated which is why I am temporally taking control of this vessel." He stopped for a second, thinking about how to word his next sentence, "Some few of you already know this, but an extra solar object is currently on a collision course with us. After reviewing the damages and footage, we can clearly say that the object fired on us. They haven't completely destroyed us yet, which indicates they, whatever they are, wish to come close and personnel with us."
The Major looked over the list of damages before continuing, "The main engine has been sheared off completely. Shuttle two has been damaged beyond repair and we wouldn’t be able to get everyone off with both shuttles anyway.", he sighed, "I am going to be honest; it isn't looking good, I recommend you start writing messages to your family and friends."
He paused again, "All personnel are to start anti-boarding procedures and arm themselves in the armory. We will not let this ship be taken easily!"
"Sir, yes, Sir!", the astounding loud chorus of the bridge crew shouted back.
While the bridge personnel started working again with a fiery vigor, the Major brought up his communications terminal messaging Captain Santiego.
Getting a declination as a response the Major asked for certainty, with another refusal being sent as an answer.
He wrote his understanding before calling the head of engineering. The scruffy voice of Beatriz Aldo answered, "What is it?"
"I need you to do something for me.", Major Smith asked.
There was an audibly loud sigh before Beatriz replied, "Don't you already have everyone working on what you need?" "Yes, but this needs to happen on the down low.", He replied.
Beatriz paused before answering, "Fine. What do you need?"

The Pioneer, currently transiting from Mars to Earth 20.5.2134 4:57 Solar-Date
The Captain of the Pioneer was sleeping peacefully, when the lights suddenly turned on with full brightness, "Mhmm, Pioneer turn the lights off!"
'I am sorry Captain but your attention is required.' the speakers replied.
The Captain stood up and looked at the clock, "It's barely past five, what in god's name is so dammed important that you need to wake me?"
'We are receiving a distress call from the HIPT Legacy. They are in distress and need assistance.'
The Captain took a few moments to get awake before answering, "Okay, change course to match them and rendezvous."
'They have already sent a rendezvous plan; it does not include rendezvousing with the Legacy.'

Lunar-Command Control-room on Alpha-Station 20.5.2134 5:11 Solar-Date
Pr. Ming was pacing around the room unsure of what to do, the Military was on high alert since yesterday and all outgoing traffic in space had been cancelled.
"Are you sure that all entrances have been sealed?", Adm. Gupta asked.
"Positively Sir, if they're going to find the facilities it won't be because we left the doors open." The controller replied.
The two Admirals had been standing around the Controller talking with her about the different situations on the Moon and Earth.
Another Controller spoke up, "Sirs, Madam, Legacy just sent us another message."
Pr. Ming stopped in her tracks, turning and beelining for the man, "Show us, please."
From Legacy to Luna Command This is Major Oliver Smith, the Captain has been temporarily incapacitated. We have lost our engine. With the open act of hostility, it is safe to assume they aren't here to talk. I have ordered to prepare anti-boarding procedures as well as preparing shuttle 1 for departure. We are currently transporting 6 kids which I will send away with the shuttle, along with a few of my crew for the children's safety. The Shuttle won't be able to reach Earth even with the modifications I'm ordering, which is why I am requesting they be able to rendezvous with the nearest ship the ‘Pioneer’. I am preparing to defend this ship and its crew till the end and if I cannot, at least I will save them from something I don't even want to imagine.

That they will connect with my insurance. They towed my car n I honestly forgot about it until I received an invoice from them yesterday with the storage and tow fees I owe. They charged me 700 for the tow when I was under the impression that it was through triple A. When I asked them this they said that becuz I agreed to have insurance store my car triple A is no longer involved. Which is ridiculous becuz they never informed me of this handover fee because I never would of agreed. ESP before talking to my insurance. They also charge $175 daily storage so my bill is currently around 2000$ which is more than what my totaled car is worth. So at this point it’s not worth it for me to pick it up?? When I tried calling them to gain clarity they were extremely rude and unprofessional. Multiple reviews of their business showed similar experiences from other costumers. Saying they are scammers, esp with their excessive rates. They currently have a lien on my car and I’m just trying to figure out what my best solution is. Is it possible for me to avoid picking up my vehicle n having them sell it at the lien auction. Can they still bill me after I no longer own my car? Will they still come after me for the difference of what I “owe” them even though it seems like these are fraudulent tow predators. Apologizes for the long read but it’s a very complicated situation and I appreciate any advice I can get.
My car, which was parked on my neighborhood street, was totaled by a hit and run. Upon finding my car, I learned that the woman who hit me had caused two other accidents prior on the street nearby and then after hitting my vehicle abandoned her car down the street and ran away on foot. I was able to get the license plate and footage of the car as well as video of the incident. The police gathered my information but told me that the report will take some time since they are combining all the other incidents from this woman all together in this report. This happened on the 5th of March and as of today I am still waiting on the report and have not received any information on the woman or if they have found her. The car is registered to a man but was not reported stolen so I’m confused on the slow investigation. Regardless this is all just background on my ever evolving back luck 🤕

Back in early January, i had an accident, totally my fault, i rear ended someone. my car, a 2015 BMW was still drivable, but the entire front bumper is gone.
i have USAA insurance, and they directed me to caliber collision. i took it in in mid January for an estimate, and they said they would order parts, based on their estimate, but they couldn't get me in until mid/late March.
Yesterday, i took my car in to caliber collision and dropped it off, picked up my rental and was merrily on my way.
this evening i get a call from the general manager, Jen, who said they are not authorized to work on BMWs.
what in the actual f?
you couldn't tell me that 2 months ago, when i took my car in for an estimate? you took the check from USAA and cashed it. what the actual F?
so, now after driving around for 2 months with a beat up car, i have to go back tomorrow and pick it up, and return my rental car, and find another place that does work on BMWs.

People talk so much about how high prices are on firearms and related item but when BSA offered items at reasonable prices many people jump quickly to say how bad they are.
I personally purchased my first BSA AR eight years ago and have bought a few more including two of their 308 models in March.
Its funny to see comments when somebody ask any AR15 or AR product. The comments range from it will blow up when you shoot it to why would you even consider buying one of those or one of the best is you know its made by illegal aliens.
One thing I have noticed lately are the great reviews on YouTube about the 308 and other calibers and people are starting to stand up and tell about their positive experience with BSA products.
One YouTube channel made a comment about the three letter gun makers and how cheaper items will not last. Thankfully people jumped in the comments and defended the guns and talked about how well they work.
Good price with a lifetime warranty = good job to me.

I now know to never go with caliber collision. But for whatever reasom they are unable to find this clip. And neither is the dealer they took it to.
The clip seems to attach to the wiring harness for the fog light. I believe the purpose of it is to keep it from swinging around.
For context, my front bumper was involved in a hit and run. I was backed into a parking space and the other driver backed into me. So the bodyshop took off my bumper to do the repairs.
Any ideas?

One Minute Review: The Doctor's companions are still feeling unsure about his new incarnation, so he attempts to pilot the TARDIS back to England for a pleasure visit. However, collision with a suspicious time corridor lands them all in a topsy-turvy version of London, an echo of the city trapped within a singularity, which the Doctor and his friends escape as it collapses in upon itself. Following the time corridor back to the real thing, the Doctor realizes that there is little time to save the Earth from an approaching black hole.
"The Dead Star" feels like two different novels sandwiched into one, with the first half taking place in the London of 1968 and the second on a space station over a century later. I think I prefer the former to the latter, which isn't to say either isn't very well written. Kate Orman, who 30 years ago became the first woman and first Australian to write a novel for the franchise, has penned a great science fiction story for the Second Doctor and his companions, full of entertaining characters and concepts.
Micheal Troughton, Big Finish's latest Second Doctor, narrates the novel, and he does a very good job acting it out. His Doctor is as solid here as it was in his first 2DA box set, and he does a decent enough job imitating Ben and Polly. However, it's when voicing the novel's original characters that he really shines. He obviously delights in creating these new performances from scratch. Overall I'd say this is the second-best of the first four Audio Novels, just behind "Scourge of the Cybermen."

Here's how the ordering to delivery process went for me. Order date was Jan 21, 2023. The website estimate was Feb - Mar delivery. This remained true. I ordered a white on black interior long range. No upgrades. Was able to pick the car up on Mar 19. I live in S. California.
When I clicked the provided link via text to schedule delivery, it only showed Mar 21 as available. I worked that day so I called the local Tesla service center to ask what other options I had. They mentioned that I qualified for completely contactless delivery and they could deliver it to my house without me present. Since I was then sitting in front of my computer, I logged on via computer and Tesla website. When I clicked on the delivery schedule, more dates became available. Mar 19, 20, 21 were now avail, but every single time slot for every single day was "now unavailable". Luckily I tried the Tesla phone app and the same 3 dates appeared avail, I clicked the first time slot avail on Mar 19 and it was approved. Apparently this time it was for pickup at the local Tesla center. I'm guessing the other times I tried and everything was unavailable was for delivery to my house. All of it wasn't very clear at all and a bit frustrating and wasted some of my time trying to contact someone which isn't always the easiest. I tried responding to the text I originally got as advised by the automated recording when I tried to call the service center as I would get a faster response that way. Unfortunately that is all text based and I had to type everything out via my phone when I just wanted to speak to a person. They called themselves the "order support" and if I wanted to talk to the local team or CS that all their numbers are found online. They provided the link. Anyways, I picked Mar 19th for pick up at 10:15 am.
About a day later I received a phone call from an actual person for the first time. She reviewed a few things such as what I had completed already and what not. She said the car is en route and should arrive by my delivery date.
I had opted to allow Tesla to use their Plaid system and give permission to withdraw the cost of the car straight from my bank account. On Mar 17, they had already made the charge from my bank account although it's status was "pending". Checking my bank account today (Mar 20), it did finalize on Mar 17 still. Not Mar 19 when I actually picked up the car. Even though it's just a few days, I don't think they should charge you for a purchase before you actually have picked up the item or even accepted delivery yet.
When I got to the Tesla store I found where the delivery area was and located the car. It had a paper sign with my first name inside. I matched the VIN to confirm that was my car. I did a quick inspection around the outside and accepted delivery via app. The entire time I was not greeted or helped by a single Tesla associate. There was a car parked directly to the left and right with the owners also inspecting their cars. It was an outside parking lot. I do wish I had more space and privacy to look the car over. Whatever, I spent maybe 5 minutes looking over the outside. I did find 3 paint issues, but decided to hit accept on the Tesla app. The doors unlocked and I was able to go inside and get the car keys. I promptly drove the car home which is just a mile away. On the paperwork it stated the generic 15 miles on the odometer. Actual odometer miles was 8. Battery charge was at 76% Car was washed post delivery on Mar 18th.
The car is an Austin build. It did not have matrix headlights. It has the older style cameras. It did come with the trunk cover.

There was a minor foot print on the driver side floor mat and a very minor dirt mark on the left door, but these are not even worth mentioning. Everything else was as clean as you could expect. All the panel alignments seem within spec except one area which isn't perfect, but it's pretty minor. Only issue I found was 3 small bumps in the paint. I tried using the app to start a service request. First time it gave me date to schedule with the local Tesla service center near me where I picked the car up. I didn't finalize it yet as I wasn't sure of my work schedule. Today I tried using the app again, and this time it's giving me a list of different approved local collision centers and to call them directly to schedule an appointment. It's just inconsistent and I'd rather just speak to a person. I'll call the actual service center tomorrow as it's after hours now. The car interior all seems fine, all the panels line up and the seats are all fine. I didn't look with a microscope. The trunk lid does definitely slam shut harder than my friend's Model Y though which closes much more softly. I'll include that in the service request. Other than that everything is fine on the car. I've only driven it 1 mile but nothing seemed out of the ordinary.
Oh. I also bought the entire 3d Maxpider Kagu covers. They all fit fine. I've seen some recent posts showing how I believe the passenger side has a large gap. Mine fit fine. I'm happy with these mats.

It is the round that all other hunting cartridges are compared to. Often you’ll hear hunters make the comparison of, “Well is it any better than a 30-06?” Which tells you that the old warhorse has quite a long track record of putting game down humanely and efficiently.
As such, the 30-06 has seen a lot of work done on it to make it one of the best all-around hunting rounds on the market. With multiple bullet designs and grain weights, picking the best hunting load for your needs can be difficult for newer shooters or hunters.
But don’t worry! We are here to help you cut through all the hype and buzzwords to explain what you should be looking for in an excellent deer hunting round.

Deer Hunting & Weight Grains

Although the weight of the bullet affects numerous factors, including wind resistance, terminal performance, ballistics, and expansion, shot placement and knowing your rifle always prevail over the “best bullet weight.”
But, for those curious, how do you know what weight is best for hunting deer? Well, the answer to that question is highly subjective, and for good reason! You’ll have to consider distance, how your rifle handles the round, and what you’re shooting (deer, in this case).
The lighter the bullet, the more muzzle velocity, and therefore, the faster it will travel. This creates for a flatter shooting bullet that is more forgiving or ranging mistakes.

If you’re trying to shoot an elk at over 500 yards, you’re going to want something that hits a bit harder to make sure you have enough kinetic energy to ensure a clean kill. For whitetail deer, hogs, or pronghorn, the 150 gr and 165 gr bullets offer a happy compromise between stopping power, lower recoil, and a flatter trajectory.
However, do keep in mind that your next deer won’t ask you, “What grain weight is that TTSX bullet you just shot me with?” Because if you’re using premium expanding hunting ammo and can put the bullet inside the vitals, the deer won’t be asking you anything at all!

Types of Hunting Bullets

You’ve surely seen a lot of acronyms online and on ammo boxes. But what do they all mean?
Hunting is a lot different than competitive or long-range target shooting. The goal isn’t just to hit your target, but to put down your quarry quickly and humanely. The hunting ammunition you choose needs to keep working after the initial impact.
So, it’s important to put a little more thought into your hunting rifle cartridges. To put it simply, match-grade ammo won’t cut it.
For example, you don’t want to use FMJ (full metal jacket) ammo for hunting. It’s typically a lead core bullet that won’t expand.

Of course, you’ll find soft point bullets are just that; they have a softer lead core than other bullet types. Introduction:
First of all, am not gonna waste your time with my story and who I’m, and what I thought this thing is about when the first time I saw it. But, I will just go straightly to the main point then start from there.
A few days ago, I was looking at reddit’s community of The Crew 2, and suddenly something very strange and unusual just caught my attention.
I discovered a shocking secret message hidden in the random tips bar of PVP.

What you’re basically seeing here is a memorable quote from the famous Assassin Creed series. Following that quote there’s a secret message saying that this is a “Wrong game”. This means this is not only a random quote that’s been shared in there for no reason but also a secret message from the IvoryTower’s employers. This is also an official response from them to my recent critisism.
Furthermore, this secret message actually confirms something that I recognized of them and this game long time ago, something very consistent with what I know and recognized. More importantly, it’s the ultimate answer of all our major questions and concerns about The Crew 2. And especially these following major questions : “Why The Crew 2 is so different than The Crew 1, Why The Crew 2 and its major features were completely downgraded, Why The Crew 2 is so heavy and restricted and limited to its full potential, and lastly, why Ivory Tower was not taking most of our feedback and suggestions into sérious considerations”.
The reason why in a short simple answer is because the main story behind that quote has been put into practice on The Crew 2, and within its design structure and the multiplayer infrastructure. However, the in-game details on how it’s been put to practice will not be presented to you in this topic,but because this topic require another constructive and separate post to adress them properly. But, you will still be able to learn the main basic ideas of that secret message when it will be briefly sumarized in my Q&A, and my response to IVT.
How did I knew that was actually a secret message and an official response to my recent critisism:
I arrived to that conlusion mainly because of these four following reasons :
First, The message appeared in PVP and exactly after my recent criticism about PVP. (The link of my criticism is lost in this forums due to the complete overhal and redesign of its structure. So I cannot provide you the evidence, but what basicly this is all about is basicly criticising IVT about the lack of freedom in TC2, and all related).
Second, the quote talks about the freedom and that is main goal of The Assassins.
Third, the quote was a selective part of a complete Assassin Creed quote, and nothing else besides that part was quoted.
Lastly, It’s very consistent with what I know and recognized from The Crew 2, and that is the dominance through order and control. Which is basically the main goal of The Templars (The enemies of The Assassins).
Moreover, even if I’m wrong and this is not true, or if the message never appeared, my main topic today will still be completely true and on point. But I’m simply using their secret message (or whatever you call it) as my primary evidence to bring this topic through this direction, and use it effectively to prove my points. The other way of proving my points is by providing the in-game details and use them as my primary evidence, but it would be a lot difficult than proving them in this way, so I went with other way instead.
What does this secret message and offical response is stating:
The specific quote in that secret message is talking about freedom, this mean no one should have control over anyone or anything, you're free to do whatever you like, at anytime you want. Next to that, the statement next to that quote is rejecting that idea, it’s rejecting that freedom because it’s clearly stating that this is the “wrong game”, meaning this is not the right game for freedom, and also it will never be about freedom. However, the freedom that’s being rejected here, is not the freedom that was derived from this stupid non linear story of TC2, the freedom of driving and exploration, and the freedom of conquering the air, the land and the sea of the united state. No, It’s a freedom of game accessibilities, game features, flexibility, design structure, and the multiplayer infrastructure.
Why and how this secret message is the ultimate answer of all our major questions and concerns about The Crew 2:
Think about it as this way: The community wants freedom. This freedom is basicly the flexibility and the creative abilities of the game, it’s the main thing that makes this game so great and successful.
Next to that, the developers already offered you this creative freedom in The Crew 1, it was even wider and extent in that game. Moreover, It’s exactly what IVT was stating in that quote “Everything is permitted”, that’s because of the fact that you can do whatever you like at anytime you want. For example, you can play with your friends in private lobby and do CVC anytime you want, you can have full access to all the events in PVP and all the racing famillies anytime you want, you can turn on/off traffic and collisions in pvp anytime you want, you can search for lobbies and do anything else (play other events or play summit for ex) anytime you want, you can have full access to the open world and have full freedom while the pvp matchmaking is in progress, you can spectate in pvp and watch other players racing anytime you want, you can have full access to the roster and invites/add friends anytime and anywhere you want (invite friends in PVP or while driving for ex), you can have full access to the user interface from a mobile phone anywhere and anytime you want, you can fast travel anywhere and anytime you want, you can buy performance parts from tuner shops anytime you want, you can create content with the race creator anytime you want, and many many more freedom.
All these accessibilities and features are basically freedom. They are the flexibility. They are the huge potential of the game. They are the creative abilities of the game. And they simply gives the players the ability to control their own gameplay experiences to have an optimal and enjoyable gaming experience, and ultimately they gives them the sense of having the full freedom without being limited or controled by anything, like the control inside out the crew 2 pvp terrible user experience.
Well, Unfortunately, not with the game that we are dealing with today, absolutly not when the developers have turned into templars within their business in The Crew 2 and after being a nice friendly assassins.
The developers have realised that The Crew 1 got stolen from their hands and got dominated and fully owned by the first community and the players had so many opportunities of having control over their game, and that’s because of the extent freedom they gave them. It simply appeared to them that The Crew 1 was basically a photoshop, the entire game was hugely flexible and everything was permitted. So what they actually did is basically creating a new plans and adopting another strategy, and that is basically the dominance and control. They start establishing dominance and control everywhere in the game, by taking away that freedom from the community, by removing its flexibility, by removing the opportinities that provides the players the ability of dominating and taking control over their game, and eventaly by just killing its huge and valuable potential, by decreasing its creative abilities, by decreasing its huge flexibility, by decreasing its useful accessibilities. And that exactly what’s happening in The Crew 2, that’s why The Crew 2 and its major features were completely downgraded, that’s why The Crew 2 was so heavy and restricted and limited to its potential. And more importantly, that’s what you are complaining about, you are complaining about its huge and valuable potential.
Also, this new dominance based strategy that they’re adopting on The Crew 2, is apparently the main reason why most of our feedback and sugesstions were being secretly rejected. Because any feedback or anything that was demanding the freedom and the flexibility for the game, or in other words, the feedback that was going against that new dominance based strategy, was never been accepted or sériously taken into consideration. And still today being rejected and for the same exact reason.
For instance, like Akorr’s feedback and his expectations that he shared in youtube long time ago (check in this link) https://youtu.be/A-LuHrjJOik?t=899 (@Minute 14:59) When he was requesting more freedom and flexibilty for PVP, all his requests were being secretly rejected, and the same thing happened to my feedback. I did the same thing here in this forums, and way before the release of PVP, I requested more freedom for PVP and for many aspects of the game, and it were all been secretly rejected.
Not only my feedback or akorr’s feedback, but most of the community feedback, from both TC1 and TC2. All the feedback that was going in the opposite direction of their new plans and that new dominance based strategy was secretly being rejected, and still today being rejected and for the same exact reason. However, this does not mean IVT don’t listen to the communities and their feedback, they do listen in-fact-they know every detail about the community and their requests but they simply don’t want to accept anthing that goes against their new bussiness strategy and plans. They also like to fully understand and analyse their repeated responses and constructive feedback precisely.
What IvoryTower did offer to the community after taking away that freedom:

That’s it ladies and gentlemen, he concluded almost everything I’ve said earlier in this topic.
He's explicitly stating that he is offering you a new toys and new freedom as a complete and permanent substitute of The Crew 1 freedom. He took away the freedom that you wanted and that was already in The Crew 1, and gave you the freedom of driving and exploration, and conquering the air, the land, and the sea of the united state. Not to mention, the newly given conquest toys he justly said (Planes and boats, and instant vehicle swapping features).
Let me put this in a short story to understand better what’s going on. Basically it is like this. Stephan and his team discussed together and said to them, “Look, we gave a lot of freedom in The Crew 1 and as a result of that, the game got taken from our hands and got dominated and fully owned by the community. So what we should do and what the possible solutions to offer the players a good subtitute for their losts, if we take that freedom away from them. A developer came up with his instant vehicle swapping concept and said, “Look we should give them planes and boats and this cool new feature (the instant vehicle swapping feature, and we let them have full freedom and exploring the huge world and dominate the air, the land, and the sea of the united state as a complete new freedom”. Stephan said: Ok fair enough, we give them that as a new freedom then we take the advantage of that opportunity to establish a great degree of technical dominance and strict control over the game and then at the same time prevent them from stealing it from our hands.
So what they basicly did is that they took all the accessibilities of the first game that I mentioned before (accessible roster, accessible UI, accessible events, accessible open world … etc), and gave you the accessibility of the open world and the game content (accessible buildings, accessible roof tops, accessible rivers, skies, seas…etc). Then they took all the important and usefull features that were available in the first game, and basicly gave you the instant vehicle swapping feature along with some other features that you never asked for (Lootboxes, video editor, variable loot system…etc). So in other words, they closed all the open doors of The Crew 1. Took all the doors that were originally closed from The Crew 1 and opened them in The Crew 2. And they added some additional useless doors that you never actually requested and that’s it, that’s whole point of that concept and that direction. It basicly came from the idea that The Crew 1 freedom must be removed somehow, and replaced by another less or equal freedom in order to compenstate between the two games. And more importantly, in order to dominate The Crew 2 and to prevent the players from stealing it from the devs’s hands and controlling it, and also to keep retaining a direct, an unlimited, an absolute and comprehensive ownership and leadership over The Crew 2 indefinitely, while we the players keep owning america and dominating the air, the land, and the sea of the united state.
They basicly went against more than twelve million players that they were simply wanting to bring The Crew 1 to the next level and gets more out of its potential, only because they wanted to say to them this is our own game and nobody can touch it.
Or in other words, this is our own ground and nobody can dance. *facepalm* (-‸ლ)
But the problem is, that is not the freedom that the players wanted, the players never asked for planes and boats and that kind of stufs. The players wanted to bring The Crew 1 freedom to The Crew 2 and expend it a little further. But, since that freedom is clearly what the developers were troubling with in the first game, also what they were frightened of. They went fully against their community and the players wishes. And that’s exaclty why they made The Crew 2 as their own game and not the community game.
One last thing I would like to mention, The developers basicaly gave you a new freedom and wants you to go and explore the world, but the problem is, They did not even give you the incentive to do that. Like For example: landmarks, data station, hidden vehicules, map uncovering, acheivements and awards... These are the most valuable features of The Crew 1. They completely dismised all of that, yet they still want you to go and explore the world. Someone would say “But they gave us Photo ops”, Yes but these Photo ops never felt like a real incentive of exploration, because they are just basic events that ppl use them to gain more money and more followers. The first thing the players start to do in this game is they went straitghtly finding bugs and exploits in order to gain more followers, because that what the game always motivate you to do at the start, the whole story is about grinding followers. But in the other hand, the first thing that The Crew 1 motivates you to do is finding data stations to uncover the map, and at the same time unlock acheivements and awards, and discover landmarks and hidden vehicles.
Why IVT is sharing that secret message in public?
I don’t know exactly why they are sharing that message in public or why they are exposing their business infront of everyone who play PVP, but I’am pretty sure they though nobody would notice or care about finding the truth of that secret message, because they actually made it look like a mistake or a joke, they also didn’t reveal it directly in PVP, they actually hide it in the random tips bar. But they are correct, although the message is very clear and understandable, no one have actually noticed or cared so far. But not with somebody whos well familiar with their games and their business in the first game. I did notice, and understood exactly what they were attempting to state from that message.
Why am making this topic and what’s my main goals behind it:
Well, definitly not to expose IVT or because am a hater, maybe there’s some ppl here that thinks that am a hater and they are basing their judgement on my offensive actions in this community, but that’s not because of hate. That’s because of my frustrations and disappoitments of this game, and that’s completely natural, ppl always complain about these issues in the forums.
I’m not a blind hater and I never been so, in fact am a big fan of The Crew franchise and I always give it my love and my support, and so far this is my biggest useful feedback post I’ve ever gave to IVT. And of course this feedback gonna contain many bad offensive words, of course am gonna come up here and say IVT was ignoring the community and was rejecting our feedback, but let’s be fair and objective. The Crew 2 was it been mostly based on the community feedback or it was been mostly based on the developers ideas? Your feedback from The Crew 1 was it extensively been employed in The Crew 2, or only a few percentage of it was been employed? Most of it was been rejected right? And that’s why The Crew 2 was completely different than The Crew 1, and was not a continuous sequel of The Crew 1. So these statements they are completely valid and on point, am not giving you lies or speculations, or some random, or pointless thoughts. Am simply giving you my honest and my evidential feedback, my analysis, my final conclusions of this game. Next to that, my main goal from this topic is as following: Firstly, to inform you about what’s ‘truly’ going on with The Crew 2. And secondly, to bring back this game to its original form and full potential, and reverse it back to its original direction. And more importantly, to bring back our stolen freedom that has been taken away by the templars.
My response to that message :
Thank you for your confirmation and honest response Mr Templar (IVT), Without your confirmation and response this wouldn't be possible for me to make this topic and bring it in this direction. So thank you very much, you made it a lot easier for me. I’m calling you mr Templar because your goals are the same as their goals which are the dominance through order and control.
Let me first begin by asking you a very important question, and it is as following: ‘’Why you could never inform us or at least whisper about that from the beginning? Why you couldn’t stick a message in The Crew 1 PVP and quoted “Nothing is true, everything is permitted. No Wait… This is only a ‘Temporary experimental Game’, and not a ‘True Representative’ of The Crew Franchise and its true and definite DNA?”’’
Is it because The Crew 1 was a mistake, or because it was intented to build up your initial player base?
From my perspective, I don’t think that was actually a mistake, because you seems a very well experienced game developer. But even if that was truly a mistake, you still have done a more bigger mistake than that one, and that is The Crew 2.. Do you know why? because your reaction and response to the first game was so extreme in The Crew 2 and you have gone too far with that and maybe without even noticing.
But now obviously, you will come up and say: “Many players are happy with what we are doing in this game, so The Crew 2 was not a failure and we are doing a great job”. That’s definitly not true, that’s a very narrow perspective to obeserved it from. Those players thinks that there’s nothing wrong with this game because they are uncapable enough of recognizing what’s happening around them, they have no idea what’s going on with this game, especially the kiddies. But who knows, maybe they are just getting frustrated in silence and don’t want to bother sharing their frustrations with you.
The problem is, you are turning The Crew 2 into a payback while making it as a sequel, a payback to the extent that you can literally feel the game being mad at you and wracking your brain, you can feel the extreme reaction and your response to dominance and controm of The Crew 1. Seriously, I’ve never seen in my entire life a video game that is so heavy and restricted the same way as The Crew 2 is designed. Especially when it comes to the accessibility, the user interface and other core features like PVP, you absolutely nailed that one. The numbers of restrictions and downgrades are totally insane, It’s absolutely ridiculous. No flexibility, no freedom, even the player’s comfort got dismised.
More problems, despite all the criticism and the feedback that you received from the players and the reviewers. You still want to blindly reject all of that and keep insisting on using the same strategy that you adopted with The Crew 2, even though it was exactly behind its failure and the players' disappointments. And that was very clear from your message (Wrong game).
I understand that The Crew 1 was taken away from your hands by the community due to the extent freedom that you gave them, but let’s be very clear, wasn’t that the key reason behind its success? Wasn’t that the key reason why The Crew 1 so great and successful? Wasn’t that the key reason why The Crew 1 had more than twelve millions players? Wasn’t that all what they were expecting you to do in The Crew 2? Wasn’t that all what they want wanted? They wanted the freedom right ? Not the planes and the boats that you literally call freedom after your dominance, Mr Templar (Stephan) right? Just look around now and see, how the community is responding to The Crew 2? What they are saying about this game? Are they saying this is the game that we were expecting? Are they satisfied? It’s the opposite right ? So why you are going against your community then? Why not stick to the things that everyone love and appreciate then? Is it because owning and dominating the game is more important to you than simply giving away the freedom? Is it because the dominance is a lot easier for you than giving away the freedom? (Well… If that’s the case, then just go and give your condoleses to The Crew franchise man, because that’s what you are basically doing, you are simply killing it).
The dominance has gone too far Mr Templar (IVT), I think it’s about time you reconsider and revisit your plans and strategy.
And always remember, the huge success that was behind The Crew 1 was because of the freedom that you offered it, and the big failure that was behind The Crew 2 was because the dominance and the control that you established.
It’s all very clear and self-evident, you don’t need anyone else or me to inform you about that.

In The Crew 1, this easter egg was a happy welcoming face, but in The Crew 2 it got changed to an Assassin Creed logo. So this could be a sign of their dominance.
It really makes sense, because when you play the first game you really feel happy and welcomed in that game, you really feel like this is your own home because everything is offered to you a silverplate, everything is permitted. But in the other side, all what you get from The Crew 2 is just frustrations and disapointments, the game just keep getting mad at you and you wont stop getting disappointed. And at the end, you simply feel unhappy and unwelcomed.

Personally I find this the best PVP Design in any racing game, there’s no racing game in the world that can offer you a huge collection of events and let you chose from it whatever event you like, anytime you want without limiting you into four or five events per race like the crew 2 pvp and other racing games. You see this is the creative freedom I like to have in racing games, the events collection is huge and variant and you can choose whatever event you like at anytime you want, for example, I like to choose only the events that suite my personnel preference and driving skills anytime I want, like that I can have my full freedom of choice in PVP. I also like to toggle traffic and collusion options as they are free to use anytime I want. And the best of all I’m free to go anywhere else and play whatever game I like to play and not being forcedly staring at that quote that always tells me you’re not free in this game and you’re in a wrong game. Seriously you will never find any racing game that gives you so much creative freedom in PVP inside a racing game never, all racing games gives you a limited choices and doesn’t allow to control your own gameplay experiences.
In my humble opinion all game companies are frightened of giving away the freedom and all of them like to strictly control their own games because people are able to control their games using freedom also, but in my opinion freedom is just fun for us and everybody, why would you limits and control my choices in PVP just to tell me this is not your own game that you bought from us, but this is only our own game and nobody can touch it, or this is a wrong game as you said, and we have also the direct, the unlimited, the absolute and comprehensive over the top ownership and leadership over it indefinitely, so you can never own it definitely.
Do you know what they tell you my friends? they tell you wait for the daily rotations so you can play the events you like and not let you chose any event you like anytime you want. They tell you make for us community pvp playlists so we can share them for PVP, and you give them that?! and you want them to fix and improve the pvp for you?! LOol
