Hola, soy de Brasil (20F) y mi intención es ir a vivir en otro país en el próximo año. A mí me encanta la cultura y diversidad de México, y lo está entre mis primeras opciones. Pero, ustedes que viven el diario de la ciudad, ¿qué me pueden dar de consejo? ¿Ibas a vivir ahí si fuera un extranjero?

The acrylic knobs are not original - they are there temporarily while we find suitable replacements.
The pulls are spaced 3-3/8", or about 85mm, which makes them a pain to replace.
I have been over and through the cabinet twice and haven't found any maker's mark.
The only markings are D.719-11 MAG in big stencil font either painted or blackened into the back panel, like some shipping mark. There is a label for a moving company that no longer exists, but that only dates it to before 1980s.
The decorations on fron are handmade, feels very solid. The Fleur de Lis and 8 petal flower (maybe simplified dogwood?) Seems very Louisiana, which lines up with the shipping label.
I am in Virginia, but it was bought by my mother from an estate sale years ago.

Estuvimos hablando bien tiempo, yo empecé a trabajar para pasar el rato porque no tenía nada que hacer en mi casa, en marzo iba a empezar a estudiar y tenía que despejar mi mente. Entonces se me dió la idea de irme a la capital (Lima-Perú), fui las últimas dos semanas de vacaciones pero he aquí cometí el peor error de mi vida, que me costaría hasta el el día de hoy...
Ella y yo habíamos quedado en algo, una promesa de ambos mejor dicho, era que no debíamos de entregarnos a otra persona hasta que nosotros nos volviéramos a reencontrar, a los 18 años...
Mi error fue viajar a la capital, dónde tengo más familia, familia cercana, me llevo bien con mis primas y salíamos a fiestas y eso, y en una reunión, me encontré con una chica que ya conocía pero no la había visto luego de 5 años, entonces hablamos todo, y yo pensé que solo en quedaría en un beso de una noche, y la cosa se salió de nuestras manos, no tuvimos relaciones esa noche sino que habíamos llevado al extremo las cosas.
En resumen de lo que pasó el tiempo que estuve allá, mi ex se enteró que estaba saliendo con esta chica, prácticamente le tuve que decir la verdad y ella me preguntó repetidas veces si me había entregado, y pues le dije que si, pero en realidad no fue esa noche, YO TUVE LA OPORTUNIDAD DE ARREGLAR LAS COSAS EN ESE MOMENTO, aún la pensaba, aún la extrañaba, todavía estaba pendiente de ella, entonces, le tuve que contar la verdad, con la otra chica salíamos y ella prácticamente me enamoró, me hizo ver todo lo bonito que alguien puede hacer por ti, y estuvimos tipo enamorados ese tiempo, todos me decían que la deje ahí porque iba a salir mal todo, hasta mi mamá.
Mi primera vez fue con ella, si, fui virgen hasta los 18, edad que me da vergüenza decirlo por qué creo que actualmente a los 16 creo que lo hacen, y fue 5 días antes de irme a mi ciudad, se sentía bien, pero dentro de mi, decía que ya había arruinado todo, literalmente todo, lo deje pasar hasta que un día antes decidimos volverlo a hacer, pero en ninguna de las dos ocasiones pude terminar, no sentía la satisfacción de hacerlo con esa persona, osea era realmente satisfactorio, pero mis intenciones en realidad no eran con esa persona.
Regresé y su manera de pensar, y de todo había cambiado, supuestamente me iba a esperar, pero me engañó, luego regresó y lo volvió a hacer, terminé mal, y se enteraron todos y terminé hablando con mi ex, le conté lo que pasó, OTRO TERRIBLE ERROR.
Le dije que me perdone, por lo que hice, quizás ella estaría estudiando em estos momentos, porque literal la única persona que la apoyaría sería yo, actualmente le sigo diciendo que me perdone, no saben realmente como me afecta todo esto, y pues si, se siente un poco sinvergüenza lo que hablo y lo que siento y porque y como me siento... Pero en realidad me afecta demasiado...
Estuvimos tratando de reavivar lo que había dejado perdido por mi culpa, ella va a viajar a Lima en Julio-Agosto, pero recientemente ella subió una foto con un chico, el chico que ella rechazaba mientras ella y yo andábamos planeando nuestro bonito reencuentro luego de un año y un poco más, pero tuvimos un intercambio de palabras que no nos gustó a ambos y bueno, se puso cortante conmigo y quiero hablar con ella seriamente de esto, tratar de mantener esto para que cuándo nos veamos tratar de hacerle entender que yo aún la quiero... - I have an old Asian lady pester us everyday to call her an Uber (not a taxi) so she can get home. We explain that she can go up to the store and use the Customer Service phone to call a taxi and she throws a fit every day saying that we need to call her an Uber and pay for her to get home as she is a ‘Very Loyal Customer’. Every. Single. Day. The store has her son’s cell number and calls him every day to come get her bc she starts screaming.
- People trying to scam us by saying that they have a discount when they don’t and that ‘the other worker just inputs the discount’.
- We have this one guy that constantly tries to get us to pay for his single cigar bc he doesn’t have enough money and he needs it.
- Customers spitting, hitting, punching or throwing things at the kiosk window or trying to bust down the back door when they don’t like something we told them or stopped them from doing something dangerous. (Yes I’ve had all of that happen to me)
- Customers telling us to scan our Kroger cards and give them our employee discount on items or use our fuel points bc they want them and don’t have any fuel points on their Kroger card.
- People saying that they need access to a phone and to let them in the back to make a phone call. When we tell them we can let them in, they explode on us.
- Customers getting angry that they have to pay for their gas first if they pay at the window or we can’t just ‘open the pump up’ so they can fill their car up and then pay.
- Customers emptying the trash in their cars straight onto the concrete instead of walking it over to the trash cans or breaking glass everywhere and not telling anyone.
- SMOKING OR LEAVING THE ENGINE ON WHILE PUMPING GAS
- I’ve had a guy once sit on top of one of the trash cans and go number 2 straight into the trash while the station was super busy.

En fin un 19 de mayo en ohio Estados unidos habia iniciado una temporada de cigarras lo cual era perfecto para nuestras bromas pues cerca de nuestro deprtamento habia un gran nido de ellas obviamente no ivamos a desaprovechar por lo que tomamos unas cuantas en una bolsa y salimos a hacer bromas.
Primero vimos a una señora sentada en la banca al lado de un poste de luz yo me acerque de forma cigilosa y cuando estaba cerca... .- -.-. .- -... . / -.-. --- -. / ... ..- / ...- .. -.. .- saque una cigarra de la bolsa y la coloque atrás de su cuello, rápidamente la señora sintio algo caminando y cuando vio a la cigarra grito fuertemente mientras que la cigarra salio volando y fue aplastada por un vehículo . .-.. .-.. .- / -- ..- .-. .. --- la señora paso de gritar a reirse y por alguna razón dijo "fue una buena broma disfruten su ultimo día" pensamos que nos quería asustar o algo asi por lo que buscamos a alguien más caminamos un poco y vimos una estación de tren donde vimos a una señora con su hijo ella iva a ser nuestra próxima victima ..--- ----- / -.. . / .- -... .-. .. .-.. / -.. . / .---- ----. ----. ----. / -.-. --- .-.. ..- -- -... .. -. . / . ... -.-. ..- . .-.. .- asi que colomos una cigarra es su espalda pero... La señora se dio cuenta de que tenía esa cigarra en la espalda dio un gran salto acia atrás mientras nosotros nos reíamos la mujer callo en las vias del tren el tren llego y - --- -.. --- ... / ... ..- ... / --- .-. --. .- -. --- ... / ...- --- .-.. .- .-. --- -. / -- .. . -. - .-. .- ... / .-.. .- / ... . --.-- --- .-. .- / .- --. --- -. .. --.. .- -... .- esto causo un gran re vuelo con las personas y su hijo que estaba ahi cerca comenzo a llorar despúes nos miro fijamente con cara de desprecio asi que rápidamente nos fuimos.
Despúes de eso nos prometimos no hablar del tema y quemamos a las cigarras. Al día siguiente mi amigo dijo que tenía que ir rápidamente a su casa el no dio detalles y colgo supuse que estaba desesperado o asustado.
Cuando llegue a su casa en simplemente cerro la puerta con candado le pregunte: "¿Qué pasa?" Jim Permitió que yo entre entonces el me enseño que estaba el caso de la señora en las noticias, que el niño estaba desaparecido y que nos tenían indentificados por la policia.
Estaba completamente impactado por lo que vi fue solo una broma ¿no? El callo al suelo con una sorisa mientras se sangraba y mi amigo simplemente me solto y dejo de moverse como si estubiera muerto.
Cuando logre levantarme vi a los bomberos y a la policia que benia por mi los dos cadaveres deparecieron sin dejar rastro los policias me agarraron de los brazos y me metieron es su auto intente hablar pero mi garganta me ardia como si se hubiera quemado y simplemente me encararon sin llevarme a la corte intente hablar pero fue en vano me acoste en mi cama y antes de dormir vi a ese niño en la esquina de la celda yo estaba enojado asi que lo golpee y ahogue hasta aparentemente matarlo pero el niño de rrepente mostro una dentadura inumana tenía la boca más grande de lo normal y sus dientes eras finos y filosos asi que me mordió en cuello con fuerza me lo quite de encima y pise su cara 7 veces hasta deformarla por completo pero las heridas que esa mordida provocaron un sangrado intenso asi que caí al suelo y perdí mucha sangre los policias me llevaron la zona médica donde desafortunadamente me salvaron la vida entonces solo subi las escaleras y quede en el balcon de un noveno piso entonces... salte.

En fin esto fue lo que sucedió aquel día: Me encontraba en mis épocas rebeldes junto a mi amigo jim, en esas épocas ambos teníamos 16 años es decir eramos adolescentes.
Un pasatiempo era hacer bromas a distintas personas en especial a gente de edad muy avanzada
En fin un 19 de mayo en ohio Estados unidos habia iniciado una temporada de cigarras lo cual era perfecto para nuestras bromas pues cerca de nuestro deprtamento habia un gran nido de ellas obviamente no ivamos a desaprovechar por lo que tomamos unas cuantas en una bolsa y salimos a hacer bromas.
Primero vimos a una señora sentada en la banca al lado de un poste de luz yo me acerque de forma cigilosa y cuando estaba cerca... .- -.-. .- -... . / -.-. --- -. / ... ..- / ...- .. -.. .- saque una cigarra de la bolsa y la coloque atrás de su cuello, rápidamente la señora sintio algo caminando y cuando vio a la cigarra grito fuertemente mientras que la cigarra salio volando y fue aplastada por un vehículo . .-.. .-.. .- / -- ..- .-. .. --- la señora paso de gritar a reirse y por alguna razón dijo "fue una buena broma disfruten su ultimo día" pensamos que nos quería asustar o algo asi por lo que buscamos a alguien más caminamos un poco y vimos una estación de tren donde vimos a una señora con su hijo ella iva a ser nuestra próxima victima ..--- ----- / -.. . / .- -... .-. .. .-.. / -.. . / .---- ----. ----. ----. / -.-. --- .-.. ..- -- -... .. -. . / . ... -.-. ..- . .-.. .- asi que colomos una cigarra es su espalda pero... Despúes de eso nos prometimos no hablar del tema y quemamos a las cigarras. Al día siguiente mi amigo dijo que tenía que ir rápidamente a su casa el no dio detalles y colgo supuse que estaba desesperado o asustado.
Cuando llegue a su casa en simplemente cerro la puerta con candado le pregunte: "¿Qué pasa?" Jim Permitió que yo entre entonces el me enseño que estaba el caso de la señora en las noticias, que el niño estaba desaparecido y que nos tenían indentificados por la policia.
Estaba completamente impactado por lo que vi fue solo una broma ¿no? Hi Everyone,
I am having a panicky moment and need to rant. I live in Australia and for those that don't know, rent is generally advertised as a weekly payment rather than monthly.
Last year my housemate and I decided to team up as we do know each other and had to move out of our current places. We planned a meet up to discuss everything. I thought she would be an ideal housemate as she was able to afford a more expensive place soley by herself and she had all of the main furniture that I lacked; fridge, freezer and washing machine. I got out of a bad relationship and only had my cat, a clothes dresser, TV + Entertainment unit, couch bed. We both thought this was great as there would be no double ups of major furniture.
Soon after teaming up and applying for houses together, a property manager sought us both out and arranged for us to inspect a house that we applied for. They liked us and we were their first choice.
To be able to sign for the lease, we would have to pay a bond/security deposit of 6 weeks rent + an extra 2 weeks (8 weeks total). Housemate agreed to sign, if we go 50/50 on the bond/security deposit part and I cover extra 2 weeks myself. I was super desperate at the time and needed a placed like no tomorrow so I agreed and paid the security deposit and cover the extra 2 weeks.
I had to pay the entire lot (8 weeks) in full myself as housemate didn't have her side of bond ready.
I ended up also paying another 2 weeks on top of that so that we would not be in arrears as the property manager stated that we must always be 2 weeks in credit. So now I have paid a total 10 weeks of rent up on my own.
Housemate did eventually reimburse me for half of the bond part but refused to pay anymore than that. I was a upset about it but I let it go.
We didn't officially move in until 2 weeks after the bond (8 weeks) of rent were paid.
Once we were both moved in that is when housemate started to pay rent. We agreed that we would both pay rent 50/50 and pay the real estate company ourselves rather than transferring rent to one person to have them pay the full lot.
Our lease started in August last year, we got our first arrears text in September. I was gobsmacked at first because I was confident rent was being paid on time I pay my half of rent fortnightly on the same day (with the exception of public holidays). I also pay a little extra so that we have some credit going towards our water bill and so my payments are easy to distinguish.
Whenever one of us pays, the real estate company sends a receipt to both of us but the receipt never specifically says which person paid rent, it just appears as if it was from both of us.
We were getting arrears texts from October all the way to January. Instead of trying to find a whole bunch of receipts, I ended up getting requesting a rental ledger to be sent and plotted them out on a long calendar to visually see what was going on. I saw that I was technically ahead of rental payments on my half however housemate didn't pay on 2 separate weeks.
I politely showed housemate the gaps in rent that were causing the arrears; she sorts them out and we were good for about a month.
Housemate goes on a holiday for an entire month and we get an arrears text message. I message her and remind her that while on vacation, all rent and bills must always be paid. She sorts it out on her end.
We get another one a few months later when I am overseas on my holiday in April. Again I send a text message asking if she has paid rent. She does and sorts it out.
This current month of May we received x1 arrears text so far and I suspect we will get another one next week. I have a fresh set of monthly calendar's printed out and taped together to show all the payments. I have searched my text message history and took screenshots of all times I have asked about rent and screenshots from the property manager that state we have been in arrears.
When the arrears text comes in, I plan to call her to a meeting face to face so that we can discuss this. I told a friend this and was told that it will affect my credit score. Our lease that we signed shows that we are BOTH 100% responsible for paying rent and keeping the property up to standard.
Now I am not going to lie, I really hate confrontation, but I do need to speak up. I plan to wait until we get our next arrears text because I assume we will get it early next week and It will fall on deaf ears if I bring it up without a problem showing.
If all falls to shit and I have to get out of this house, I do have a back up plan.
I do have savings for extra rent, but I feel if I pay her end of rent that would mean that I would be accepting it as my half, sinking more money in on my end and she may be late more and more times.
I will post photos of the calendars show when rental payments have been made.
The bars in deep purple are all the times I have paid, bars in green are rent payments not made by me.
I underlined in purple when bond+2 weeks was paid.
Every bar regardless of colour resembles x 1 week of rent paid.
TL/DR: Housemate has put us in arrears many times which could possibly risk declined lease renewal/termination and lower our credit score. I need to get off my ass and have a chat when an arrears notification comes in.

Soon after teaming up and applying for houses together, a property manager sought us both out and arranged for us to inspect a house that we applied for. They liked us and we were their first choice.
To be able to sign for the lease, we would have to pay a bond/security deposit of 6 weeks rent + an extra 2 weeks (8 weeks total). Housemate agreed to sign, if we go 50/50 on the bond/security deposit part and I cover extra 2 weeks myself. I was super desperate at the time and needed a placed like no tomorrow so I agreed and paid the security deposit and cover the extra 2 weeks.
I had to pay the entire lot (8 weeks) in full myself as housemate didn't have her side of bond ready.
I ended up also paying another 2 weeks on top of that so that we would not be in arrears as the property manager stated that we must always be 2 weeks in credit. So now I have paid a total 10 weeks of rent up on my own.
Housemate did eventually reimburse me for half of the bond part but refused to pay anymore than that. I was a upset about it but I let it go.
We didn't officially move in until 2 weeks after the bond (8 weeks) of rent were paid.
Once we were both moved in that is when housemate started to pay rent. We agreed that we would both pay rent 50/50 and pay the real estate company ourselves rather than transferring rent to one person to have them pay the full lot.
Our lease started in August last year, we got our first arrears text in September. I was gobsmacked at first because I was confident rent was being paid on time I pay my half of rent fortnightly on the same day (with the exception of public holidays). I also pay a little extra so that we have some credit going towards our water bill and so my payments are easy to distinguish.
Whenever one of us pays, the real estate company sends a receipt to both of us but the receipt never specifically says which person paid rent, it just appears as if it was from both of us.
We were getting arrears texts from October all the way to January. Instead of trying to find a whole bunch of receipts, I ended up getting requesting a rental ledger to be sent and plotted them out on a long calendar to visually see what was going on. I saw that I was technically ahead of rental payments on my half however housemate didn't pay on 2 separate weeks.
I politely showed housemate the gaps in rent that were causing the arrears; she sorts them out and we were good for about a month.
Housemate goes on a holiday for an entire month and we get an arrears text message. I message her and remind her that while on vacation, all rent and bills must always be paid. She sorts it out on her end.
We get another one a few months later when I am overseas on my holiday in April. Again I send a text message asking if she has paid rent. She does and sorts it out.
This current month of May we received x1 arrears text so far and I suspect we will get another one next week. I have a fresh set of monthly calendar's printed out and taped together to show all the payments. I have searched my text message history and took screenshots of all times I have asked about rent and screenshots from the property manager that state we have been in arrears.
When the arrears text comes in, I plan to call her to a meeting face to face so that we can discuss this. I told a friend this and was told that it will affect my credit score. Our lease that we signed shows that we are BOTH 100% responsible for paying rent and keeping the property up to standard.
Now I am not going to lie, I really hate confrontation, but I do need to speak up. I plan to wait until we get our next arrears text because I assume we will get it early next week and It will fall on deaf ears if I bring it up without a problem showing.
If all falls to shit and I have to get out of this house, I do have a back up plan.
I do have savings for extra rent, but I feel if I pay her end of rent that would mean that I would be accepting it as my half, sinking more money in on my end and she may be late more and more times.

TL/DR: Housemate has put us in arrears many times which could possibly risk declined lease renewal/termination and lower our credit score. I need to get off my ass and have a chat when an arrears notification comes in.
