2023.05.28 17:37 Voidslayer12E1 Looking for advice for my first battle

I'm going to play my first official mission/battle outside of boarding actions at 2000 points in 2 weeks and was hoping for some advice.
Because i have not played outside of boarding actions i am kinda light on troops, which leaves me at the moment with only the option to go with two Patrol Detachments, unless i missed something? While i could go and get some more warriors before then i'd rather spend the time painting up a few more models, so my opponent doesn't face a literal silver tide.
Any recommendations are welcome, especially when it comes to relics and warlord traits.

*² - Wanted to split the vehicle selections between Solo Dash and Double Dash drivers. Solo Dash drivers will now only select between Karts and Bikes and Double Dash drivers will only select between ATVs and new Buggy vehicles. *Buggys are essential similar to the designs of the Karts used in Mario Kart Double Dash. ATVs are now bigger in size to help fit the idea of 2 drivers on one vehicle.
*³ - The original Super Mario Kart had 5 courses per Cup so I brought that option back for custom races.

Coin - Gives the player a small boost and increase top speed when more are collected, up to a maximum of ten.
Rupee - The equivalent of a coin, used for Hyrule Circuit and Zelda related courses. They replace coins in the item roulette and in the track.
Bell - The equivalent of a coin, used for Animal Crossing. They replace coins in the item roulette and in the track.
Cash - The equivalent of a coin, used for Splatoon related courses. They replace coins in the item roulette and in the track.

Coin Block ⁽ⁿᵉʷ⁾ - * floats above player for a short time (10 seconds). Hop to collect upto 10 coins. Can only be obtained if player has 0 coins. Replacing the Coin Box item from Mario Kart Tour. Example
~ Returning Items
Banana Peel - When a kart hits a Banana Peel, it spins out. You can carry one behind your kart to protect yourself from a single attack. Can be thrown backward and forward.
Green Shell - Travels in a straight line and knocks over a kart it hits.
Red Shell - Red Shell Homes in on the closest kart in front of the player and knocks it over.
Feather - Causes the player to spin and leap in the air, providing a small speed boost upon landing, akin to a regular trick (characters will also perform a trick animation during the jump).
Mushroom - Provides the player's kart with a small speed boost.
Super Star - Provides the player invincibility from all terrain and items, and also giving a speed boost.
Boo - Unleashes Boo, who turns the player invisible for a brief time, making them impervious to enemy attacks, and steals an opponent's item. Cannot steal Special Items.
Coinˣ - Grants the player two extra coins and a micro boost.
Lightningˣ - Causes all opponents to drop their items, shrink, and drive slowly for a short time.
Fake Item - Looks just like an item box, but when you run into it, it knocks you over.
Bob-omb - Explodes after a short time when thrown or dropped, knocking over any kart in its blast radius.
Blooper - Sprays ink on all racers ahead and reduces their visibility. The racers hit also lose some of their traction while sprayed.
Bullet Billˣ - Transforms the player into a Bullet Bill, rocketing through the track with auto-pilot, and providing invincibility from all terrain and items.
Spiny Shellˣ - Targets the racer in first place, knocking over all other karts in its path.
Super Horn - Emits a radial shockwave hitting racers, as well as destroying all obstacles, including the Spiny Shell.

Fireball (Red) - Three fireballs will revolve around your kart. They split up after they're thrown and go sliding ahead. These powerful pyrotechnics can take out multiple opponents at once. Drivers: Mario, Fire Mario
Fireball (Green) - Three fireballs will revolve around your kart. They split up after they're thrown and go sliding ahead. These powerful pyrotechnics can take out multiple opponents at once. Drivers: Luigi, Fire Luigi
Fire Flower - Allows the player to throw fireballs for a short time that cause other karts to spin out on impact. Drivers: Metal Mario, Fire Peach, Fire Bro
Ice Flower - Three balls of ice will revolve around your kart. Throw them all at once and they'll freeze any kart they hit, causing them to slide. Drivers: Ice Bro, Ice Mario, Penguin Luigi
Heart - This protective Heart revolves around your kart for a set amount of time, shielding you from attacks. Any item that hits the player becomes theirs to use. A cute and handy item. Drivers: Peach, Daisy, Villager, Wendy, Mametchi
Yoshi's Egg - This egg rolls down the road and home in on opponents. When they hit and break, they'll drop three more items. Drivers: Yoshi
Birdo's Egg - Homes in on the kart in front of you and crashes once it hits. Three more items will fly out when it breaks. Drivers: Birdo
Chain Chomp - This fearsome beast chases karts with reckless abandon, pulling the player behind it at breakneck speeds. Drivers: Baby Mario, Baby Luigi
Triple Mushrooms - Orbits the player's kart, providing them with three separate speed boosts. Drivers: Toad, Toadette
Golden Mushroom - Provides the player's kart with continuous speed boosts for a short time. Drivers: Captain Toad
Mega Mushroom - The driver grows bigger, which allows them to squash other racers by running over them, making them lose their items and slow down for a moment. Drivers: Pac-Man, Ms. Pac-Man, Wiggler
Poison Mushroom - A stationary item. Looks like a regular mushroom but If one is run into, the victim shrinks, as if hit by a Lightning. Shrunken racers who run into it revert to normal size. Drivers: Kamek * ngl, i didn't really know who to give this item to
Mushroom Cannon - A cannon designed to resemble a Mushroom. Continually shoots out Mushrooms in front of your kart for a set time. Drivers: Monty Mole, Peachette, Toadsworth
Triple Green Shells - Three green shells that orbit the player's kart, protecting them from incoming attacks. Drivers: Koopa Troopa, Dry Bones, Lakitu, Koopa (Freerunning)
Triple Red Shells - Three red shells that orbit the player's kart, protecting them from incoming attacks. Drivers: Paratroopa, Dry Bones, Lakitu, Koopa (Freerunning)
Bowser's Shell - An awe-inspiring giant shell! As it careens down the road, slamming and ramming into karts, it's the very image of Bowser himself. Drivers: Bowser, Bowser Jr., Dry Bowser
Triple Bananas - Three bananas that orbit the player's kart, protecting them from incoming attacks. Drivers: Donkey Kong Jr., Dixie Kong
Giant Banana - Not only does this big banana spin out karts that hit it, but after being struck it breaks into three regular-sized Bananas. Drivers: Donkey Kong
Banana Barrels - Arm your kart with two fully-loaded barrels of Bananas! Continually shoots out Bananas in front of or behind your kart for a set time. Drivers: Diddy Kong, Funky Kong
Thunder Cloud - A thundercloud hovers over the recipient and strikes it with lightning after 10 seconds. The user shrinks to a very small size for 10 seconds, driving more slowly. Before this happens, the user has higher speed and acceleration while not losing speed when driving off-road, and may pass the cloud to an opponent by bumping into them. Drivers: Blinky, Pinky, Inky, Clyde * If there was absolutely no choice but to have the next Meta character, it'd be the Ghosts. Having one of the worst possible specials in the game should balance them out.
POW Block - The POW Block appears above the karts as a 2D image, warning players of its arrival, and causes any racer on the ground ahead of the user to spin out and drop their items. * Since wheelies are no longer a thing, it always spins out other racers unless they're in anti-gravity mode or during an in air trick Drivers: Mii, Don-chan
Super Leaf- Gives the player's kart a tail that can be used to deflect items, knock over opponents and collect coins. The tail will disappear after a moment or if the player is hurt. Drivers: Tanooki Mario
Lucky Seven - Surrounds the player with seven items that rotates around its kart. The player receives a Mushroom, Banana, Green Shell, Red Shell, Blooper, Bob-omb, and a Star. Drivers: King Boo, Pauline, Poochy, Nabbit, Chargin' Chuck, Pianta, Noki
Boomerang Flower - Can be thrown up to three times, hitting racers forward/backward and when it returns to its user after the first and second use. Driver: Boomerang Bro, Larry
Piranha Plant - Automatically chomps on obstacles and other racers, giving a short speed boost for each bite. Drivers: Petey Piranha
Double Bob-ombs - Two Bob-ombs will revolve around your kart. Throw them both at once. Drivers: Wario, Waluigi, Roy
Bob-omb Cannon - Continually shoots out Bob-ombs in front of your kart for a set time. Drivers: Shy Guy
Giga Bob-omb - After being thrown, it will explode after hitting a kart or bouncing 3 times. It has a larger blast radius than a standard Bob-omb. Drivers: King Bob-omb
Bubble - Briefly envelops your kart and protects you from damage for a set time. While in the bubble, you will get a speed boost and float in the air. Drivers: Baby Peach, Baby Daisy, Baby Rosalina, Lemmy
Dash Ring - Tosses out three rings in front of you along the track. Pass through them for a speed boost! Drivers: Rosalina, Luma, Ludwig, Honey Queen
Hammer - Throws multiple Hammers in an arc aimed at karts in front of yours. Drivers: Hammer Bro
Super Bell - A bell rings above the driver, knocking away nearby karts and items. The bell rings three consecutive times. Drivers: Cat Peach, Cat Toad
Capsule - Three colorful capsules surround your kart. They'll bounce at opponents when thrown. Drivers: Dr. Mario
Splat Bomb ⁽ⁿᵉʷ⁾ - * Explodes after a short time when thrown or dropped, knocking and spraying ink on any kart in its blast radius and reduces their visibility. The racers hit also lose some of their traction while sprayed. Drivers: Inkling Girl, Inkling Boy
Magical Boomerang ⁽ⁿᵉʷ⁾ - * Works like a Boomerang Flower that tracks closes kart infront of player like a Red Shell Drivers: Link
Magnet ⁽ᵈˡᶜ⁾ - * a powerful magnet that pulls opponents towards the player Source Drivers: Krunch
Nayru's Love ⁽ᵈˡᶜ⁾ - * will surround the racer's kart with a protective shield. Any items that hit this shield will be reflected back at the racer who used them. If a driver using Nayru's Love is attacked with an item such as a Lightning, the racer who used the Lightning item will take damage. Drivers: Zelda
Copy Ability ⁽ᵈˡᶜ⁾ - * steals Special item from any racer. If no racer has a special item on them, it'll randomly generate a random racer's Special Item. Drivers: Kirby
Dedede's Hammer ⁽ᵈˡᶜ⁾ - * driver using Dedede's Hammer, will swing it around for about 5 seconds. Any karts hit will be squashed, causing them to lose their item and speed momentarily. Drivers: King Dedede
Invincibility Shield ⁽ᵈˡᶜ⁾ - * become invulnerable to all damage for a short time. Drivers: Sonic, Tails
Bombs ⁽ᵈˡᶜ⁾ - * Think Double Bob-ombs, the original Triple Bananas and the Feather item. If used as a protective item, upon the explosion, the player will leap in the air, providing a small speed boost upon landing. Drivers: Samus

Hello all,
Ive been meaning to post this for awhile. I have been desperately looking for work, and surprise we all know how bad the market is right now. Anyway I reluctantly applied to a fancy pants rich kid after school art school.

The position was manger in training and mostly admin stuff. Which sounded great. I will say I don't mind kids in short bursts, I was abused as a child so I would never do or say anything to make them think I'm being cruel to them. So First day, my trainer very casually goes through the admin stuff, I was told I wasn't doing anything that day, just observing, ok cool.

Day 2, still not doing much. I keep asking to go over the excel sheets and how they organized classes and contact info, ya know admin stuff, nope they want me to "observe" the classrooms. Which I would spend maybe ten minutes then go right back up front. Now I have an art degree, I am quite aware of how art classes go and what happens. by this point I was in tears on the way home because I was so stressed out I felt like they were banishing me to the classrooms to do absolutely nothing. I even told my trainer that I have anxiety around kids, and she f**king said "you'll get over it.

Day 3, I had a full blown panic attack on the way to work. I just don't know how to interact with kids for long periods of time. So I get to work and just guess, yup I'm banished to the kindergarten painting class. I was mostly quiet and trying to be nice to the kids, on the surface I probably look like I work well with kids, I fu*king hate it. I was in this classroom, excluding lunch for 8 freaking hours hanging out with all ages of kids. I had continuous panic attacks throughout the day. I only stayed because of how desperate I am for money. By the end of the day I was in the teenage group and the teacher asked me what I am doing at the school, I told her "I don't know" she asked well why are you in my class (she was extremely kind and just curious), I said I'm not sure I'm supposed to be training in admin.
--During day 3 there was this snotty 7-8 year old in the class. We somehow got on the subject of cheese while everyone was painting. Some kids asked me my fav cheese and I said blue, they said ew and I said you know its mold in the cheese that makes it blue lol. Well snotty girl looked up at me, horrified and asked if blue cheese is really mold, so I said in FACT ALLLL cheese is moldy milk and they just cut off the fuzzy bits, isn't that SOOOO cool. I know it was petty but she shut up fast lol.
At the end of the day my bf took me out to dinner and we talked about it. He was so pissed that they took advantage of me to use me as a teacher, basically. I have NO TEACHER TRAINING btw. What would you do as a parent knowing someone with NO training is teaching your child, ugh.

When we got home I had been so stressed out that I made myself sick, I normally have ibs-c but that day it was ibs-ddd. sorry if tmi. So I wrote a professional resignation letter effective immediately. This was a few weeks ago.

Unthinkable Confessions

Valdor: Birth of the Imperium
But there is a problem. The nature of Chaos, of the Warp, is infinite and unbounded. It can not be defeated by matching power against power. The only possible strategy is deception: a gamble so staggering in its odds, it courts total ruin to even conceive of it.

The Bargain

‘At the dawn of the great diaspora, the Emperor travelled here in humble guise and found the gateway to a realm of immortal gods. He offered them things only a god-in-waiting could offer, and they trusted Him. They gave Him a measure of their power, and with that power He wrought the science to unlock the mysteries of creation.’
Vengeful Spirit
The Emperor went to Molech early in the Dark Age of Technology. He entered a portal straight into the Warp, and made pacts with the Ruinous Powers, gaining a measure of their knowledge and might that was the key to creating the Primarchs. We know it was a pact, and not outright theft, through ADB's WoG: (speaking of Fabius Bile trying to make Primarchs) "And even if he had all the lore (which he almost certainly doesn't) did Bile really make the same deal with the Ruinous Powers that the Emperor did, in order to make a real primarch?
Now, what could be the thing be that "only a god-in-waiting" could offer the Ruinous Powers? the standard answer is the Primarchs, for the Gods to have as their heralds; there's much theorising about which Primarchs were pre-agreed to go to which god. But I'm unconvinced: Chaos immediately turned them into Daemon Primarchs, suffering the same limitations as regular Greater Daemons; they're not something only a "god-in-waiting" could give them.
I prefer another theory:

The Dark King

‘Lord,’ says Actae, with some reluctance, ‘the Dark King is… it is the name first written in the time before man, and repeated ever since, unbidden, by the prophets of all species. It is a name symbolising the rising god to come.’
‘There are no gods!’ scoffs Raja.
‘You’re a fool,’ Actae tells him. ‘Before the fall of the aeldari, there was no fourth power of Chaos. The gods of Chaos breed and multiply,propagating like storms through the empyrean. They are born in turn, though they have all existed forever. Time has no meaning for them. The fall of the aeldari did not cause the birth of She Who Thirsts, merely her occurrence. So too with all other gods, be they foul entities of Chaos, or divine forces of sentient power.’
‘She Who Thirsts was born out of the death of an entire sentient culture,’ says John.
‘Such is the inevitable fate of all advanced, psychic species,’ says Actae. ‘And the Dark King is our fate. This war, my lord, is not one of loyalists against traitors. It is not about the conquest of Terra and mankind by Chaos. It is certainly not about a son at war with his father. This is the Triumph of Ruin. Horus and the Emperor have taken their conflict to such a pitch, that we are about to suffer the same fate as the cursed aeldari. The human race will die in birth-fire, consumed by blood-rage, pestilence, violent transmutation and blind desire. And from the grave-pyre of our civilisation, the broken galaxy will see Horus rising, absolute and complete, as a new, true and terrible god.’
The answer is staring us in the face. The Emperor knows humanity will evolve into a psychic species, then Fall. He knows the only hope to avoid this, the shining path, is to unite the species, wean it off reliance on the Warp by conquering and using the Webway, then slowly shepherd it into psychic ascendancy. He knows he lacks the power to do this, and there's only one place to get it: the Warp itself.
He goes to Molech, enters the Immaterium. He passes whatever tests the Gods set him, and strikes a bargain. They will give him a measure of their power and knowledge. He will use it in a war of galactic conquest, aided by Warp-infused monstrosities. Humanity will ascend and, in so doing, Fall and occasion the formation of the fifth God of Chaos. The Warp will invade reality and all will be subsumed into the Great Game.
He does not intend to do this. He makes the Primarchs, and sets about conquering the galaxy at incredible speed, but enacts an anti-Warp ideology, attempting to remove even the possibility of Chaos influence-through-belief. He forges a human link to the Webway, manifesting his intention openly. He cheats on his bargain.
The Gods respond. If the Emperor will not go on to create the Dark King, they will occasion its birth themselves. They concoct the Heresy, and pour their power into one of the Emperor's Great-Daemons-in-a-meatsuit. The conflagration plunges the galaxy into ruin and exposes much of humanity to the Warp. It is this plane of conflict that truly interests Chaos: the Wrap bleeding into realspace all over the place, psychic turmoil sufficient to fatally poison reality no matter who wins the war. Let the deluded and the hopeless fight on with all their fury and desperation: all they're doing is feeding into their own destruction.

The Sacrificial Play

His opponent moved his Divinitarch into a blocking position, and said, ‘Because sometimes the only victory possible is to keep your opponent from winning.’
The Outcast Dead
The Emperor's original plan is no longer viable. The Webway is lost (though he tried as best as he could to hold on to it). There is no longer a path to ultimate victory, as far as he can see. The next best thing is to stop Chaos from winning.
It's hellishly complicated. If he loses to Horus, it's game over pretty much immediately. But even if he wins the immense psychic conflict, that might still be enough that the psychic pressure of those fighting for the Emperor will nucleate the Dark King around him anyway, doing for humanity what Slaanesh did for the Aeldari, except even worse.
The only non-losing move is to cause a stalemate. Soulkill Horus, hurt the Chaos Gods if he can (he can't defeat them outright, "infinite power can not be overcome"). Then, knowing he'll get badly wounded in the battle no matter what, get himself strapped to the Golden Throne, unable to die, his soul tethered to realspace, where he can fight off Chaos' influence without joining it. Now he can't ascend, and there's no alternate candidate for Dark King. Whatever faith humanity places into him, capital F or not, will not nucleate a Fifth God of Chaos, at least as long as he can hold on.
It's not great. There is still no discernible path to ultimate victory. But it's the best move he's got.

Its roughtly 1am and I decided this would be a good thing to do at 1am. And of course at 1am I am thinking.. I want to hear some stories about peoples experiences as a player or as a DM.
So lets start an 'ask me anything post train'. Basically when you ask your first question in this post about someone elses experience you should do the following:
You only need to do this once. Then you can ask as many questions as you want.
And that way everyone can have some cool stories to read, fun ideas for characters or even campaigns.
So as the post creator I shall start:
A bit about me: Hello I am Sparkle and I am a professional DM who is trying to become a better DM than Matt Mercer (which is a really high benchmark, he's a really good DM). I like drawing art and making animated maps for D&D.
I am currently playing in six D&D campaigns a week. And I am dming 3 of them. The highest amount of players I have DMed for at once was around 15 and the longest I have dmed for at once is 11 hours.
These are the six campaigns I am in currently.
Astral Antics: As a DM (My fav campaign to DM) This campaign is a homebrew campaign which is focused on portals, gods and ancient magic (Blood magic, Ethereal Magic, and the Zenith) The whole group has custom classes and races which may be an interesting discussion for some. They are currently infiltrating the vampires kings, aka Venerzar Dunbars, castle (who happens to be one of the players father) and Ketsu has just discovered a card from the deck of many things. (Its not the first card to have been found)
Endless Vernandia and Endless Vernandia Tarvea: As a DM
This group is my largest group. Their campaign is split into two sections currently.
Endless Vernandia (EV) was based in a spirit world after the players died in their own worlds. They learnt to survive in the wilderness, build bases and just sorta mess around. The group has an interest in door hinges (don't get me started on this), one of the players was accidently turned into a lich (even I am not sure how this happened). We also had a merchant who stole everyones hearts, no wait that was Granny num nums... (My players never forgave me for killing her off). And eventually they got reincarnated into a new world. Oh and lets not forget this worlds gimmick of corruption.
EV Tarvea: The group now has new characters (reminiscent of the old) and spirit animals. (Bonus points if anyone can figure out the series this world is based off). The characters are busy solving mysteries whilst trying to avoid the corruption they have discovered is seaping into this world from Vernandia.
The Multitude of Magnus: As a DM This one on one campaign is set in a world where the player Magnus has been besett with a strange illness. He also happens to be a prince. Starting as a skeleton he wakes up finding the world no longer accepts him. He makes a tonne of friends as he time travels through the past versing an ancient black drahon called Neskur who keeps killing his family who he left behind. Eventually he manages to escape the time loop he is in and ends up in Magnus the 1sts body. He also discovers along the way a missing soul god and an enemy called Vane.
The Ruins of Senpitrial. As a player This campaign has been going on for quite a while now and its my favourite campaign as a player. In this campaign there is a lich called Ur Kad who is attempting to cause another ruining, there is also a god called the lord of blood who myself, Fane and Kat are aiming to kill. In this campaign I am playing a 'human' wizard detective called Liburua Batekin who fully believes he is a human. Except his disguise self spell is a bit weird, now that you mention it. He eventually meets a god called Grey Jacket (god of change) whos true name is unknown and eventually learns about his true nature. He is in fact a changling, who is honestly a bit weird for a changling as the only other two changlings he has met have mentioned it. Currently we are in the under dark trying to find Fanes family.
Chaos Corner: As a player. We have only just started yesterday and I am playing a very interesting character with super low stats. I cannot say more as I know some of the campaign members frequent reddit but I will happily tell anyone in direct messages about the character.
Generals Campaign: As a player General is a new DM and hes running a mostly combat campaign as we try to stop an evil king from bringing back a pretty evil god. I am playing a Revenant Asimar Mystic/Phoenix Sorcerer who died in one of the kings attacks on the town. Tempest one of the players in the party killed me as I killed him bring us both back as Revenents looking for revenge on each other. He is hiding his looks and eventually decided he wanted revenge on the king for sending him to his doom as I hunt him down. Except we are both immortal undead. Yea this is going to be a blast later on
Campaigns that have finished, so I am no longer in them.
Not all campaigns go well, and thats ok. Here are two that didnt work.
(Fake name) Jhins campaign: We were playing a group looking for some magic items. Jhin despite being a very new dm is very good at characters... At combat not so much. The main reason the campaign failed was due to restricting player abilities and just sort of giving up. The group was VERY chaotic and I mean very. In this campaign I played a Raven and a Kalashtar called Harbringer and Watcher. Their classes were rogue/Raven Queen Warlock. Basically Watcher is super nice, Harbringer is evil. Watcher shows himself to the party and Harbringer never really does. These two have a tonne of lore and are pretty fun to play.
After Jhin gave up I tried taking the group on. Yea even I failed. Basically the new game was about two dimensions, one called the mirror world where players played characters the other players designed (they didnt know their stats) and then you had the material where it was normal dnd. Anyway there were wizards on dragons and the group didnt get anywhere through the story anywhere fast. They spent a session talking about things outside of the game (they were all friends) and after a few more sessions after a talk to see if they would improve I dropped the campaign.
However we have some that did work, except people got too busy.
The Chaos Crew as a DM This campaign lasted ages and its the campaign that truely got me into dming. One day my friends told me when we were playing another game that they were trying to learn how to play dnd but didnt know where to start. Nobody had played before. I said I could try dming for them. They agreed and we promptly began a campaign. The campaign was a time travel campaign where the party slowly ran out of time to stop neskur from taking over their minds. And yes this is the origin of the infamous villian Neskur. And Senshin his nice brother. The group had a lot of fun as they stole a hippogriff egg, Yasuo killed the entire party in an epic betrayal (pvp was commonplace, fun and normal). Tbanger died 7x, sometimes on purpose, other times not so much. P.S: you still hold the record. The players also came up with the pelvis ghost..... Trust me you do not want to steal any pelvises in my games, it never ends up well. And the players drew the fates card and got revenge on Yasuo. Then we had exams and never played another game together. Currently I might be trying to gather them up for a reunion.
And last but not least... The original campaign. Based on the Taldora books (the one with the belt and 7 gems), we had a game where the terrifie were first introduced. A player died in session one after jumping purposely off a 30ft tall wall and getting poked with a stick. We had a sword incident where it glanced off a wall and impaled a dwarf (who rolled a nat 1) and an epic battle over a river. Five or so sessions in we had scheduling issues and didnt play again. However one of the three from the campaign later joined Astral Antics and Endless Vernandia. I kind of got them addicted to D&D... they thanked me for it lol.
And anyway that is it in terms of my campaigns. So......
AMA: Ask me anything, even specific questions like why my players are scared of birds or even about bagpipes. I will attempt to answer them all. Though I would love to see some questions that may led to some interesting tales. Go wild.

From what was shown during the Weight of Time and Ananta arc, Ananta came to the realization that he could no longer endure the weight of sins/grudges that had accumulated since The Beginning and would one day soon be consumed by it, so he decided to die and pass on the sins and responsibility to Leez and the gang. Or did he?

Ananta came to the realization that as current "Ananta" he could not endure the weight of the sins and his sanity would break. The sins have grown too much and his body could not bear anymore sins added. However he, alone, as the chosen "Time Axis" by the primevals must exist to determine the "real" universe. So what could he do.

[Theory 1] Leez is Ananta
Ananta as he was could not endure the reality of the universe that he came to protect but no transcendental or ability existed that could overcome his body's natural defenses or resistances. So a new "Ananta" had to be made. One whose body was weak but could be made indestructible or regenerative. One whose sanity was already broken, whose self-delusion was "engineered" to be whatever would fit any and all scenarios, then that "Ananta" would never be fully burdened by the reality of their situation. Because none of it and all of it was ever "real."
This process would require time and specific circumstances to align, namely a traumatic incident to induce a state perfect for "self suggestions." Most importantly, it would need a "partner" to oversee and eventually "guide" the new "Ananta" to the desired "conclusions." A "partner" tricked into being made an accomplice and made guilty by the sight of their "victim/friend."

[Theory 2] Garuda will carry Ananta's sins with him
Ananta's body was at its limit to carrying the sins from numerous universes, but couldn't more people be made to carry them. Ananta allowed Rao and Maruna to carry them why couldn't the Nastika Kings. The Cataclysm showed why not because none of the Nastikas had the fortitude or the mentality required to carry it. It required someone with the tenacity, mental fortitude, and selflessness to bear all of those sins.
But Maruna is only a Rakshasa and while initially strong and kind existing in a universe ruled by Nastikas would one day be incapable to carry those sins, unless Primevals intervened. Namely, Primevals with powers over Names and Time. So a deal had to be struck between Primevals willing to risk annihilation or securing the stability of the universe. But what Nastika King would willingly forfeit their Name and Power. What about a Nastika King who slowly realized Ananta's dilemma but desired a universe free from his Evil interventions.
So deals were struck and a gamble was made to see who would eventually receive the Name and Powers of Garuda with the "Gift" of Ananta's sins and guarantee the future of the universe.

Obviously concerning deals being made to primevals, another primeval would at least desire some benefit to gain their complicity so a removal of an undesirable variable in exchange for a more useful tool would garner their non-intervention.

Here is my ranking.
1 - Lost Sinner. Great fight. Seemingly simple at first, but she has an impressive reach with that sword, hits like a truck and can make you disoriented with the jumps. I also love that you have to fight her very differently from the Pursuer, which is another great duel boss. As a plus, the Lost Bastille and that whole spoke in general is real good. Lore is nice, though I wish there was more. Souls can be used to make some pretty decent items. Interesting twist in NG+
2 - Duke’s Dear Freija. Pretty good large monster fight. Not hard imo, but you have to manage the multiple things, and it has an interesting set of attacks. That spoke has some highs and lows, and might be my least favorite actually, but it’s still fun. Really like the lore. Great use for the souls. Cool twist for NG+
3 - Old Iron King. Boss is meh, has some varied moveset but arena suuuuucks. Lore is cool and i like the spoke quite a lot, despite some low points. Mytha and demon are cool
4 - The Rotten. Boring. I like the gutter as a level, but I like the Black Gulch less. Lore is murky, no change in NG+ iirc

Thus memory may be, as Coleridge calls it, “the bosom-spring of joy,” and when the Divine Comforter bends it to His service, it may be chief among earthly comforters.
