Unless a sale comes up or I've had to import, I've been avoiding buying new release anime for the most part. Thanks to stores like CeX, I've come across titles that I've never heard of or wasn't interested in earlier.

I've been chasing up older titles including copies as I have quite a few covered in scratches on the discs. It's been a bit of a treasure hunt.

When I signed up, my husband and I were both working. We weren't making an extravagant amount, but it was enough for us to pay our bills and be able to comfortably fund my first booth. I started getting supplies here and there, but at the beginning of December, he lost his job.
I don't make nearly as much as he did, and it wasn't enough to even pay half our rent, let alone the rest of our bills.
He got a new job in February, but we're so far from recovering. Both our accounts are in the negative, credit cards are maxed out, and we've borrowed nearly $5,000 from both of our parents, just to keep from being evicted.
I put a hold on ordering stuff for my booth, thinking things would be back to normal in time for me to finish buying supplies and prints and such, but it doesn't look like there's going to be time now.
I'm debating calling it. I've put in so much work, time, and money already for it be a total loss, but I'm having trouble seeing this going well anymore. I'll be out about $1,000 from what I've spent already, but if I save the supplies I was able to buy until I get a better hold on things, I'll really just be out the booth rental, which was about $250.
I was so, so excited for this. Now I'm just anxious and defeated.
A part of me wants to keep going, despite the money. If I can just order my prints and get a simple tablecloth, maybe I can swing it. At the same time, I fear that will make my table look half-assed. I don't want to show up looking like I don't know what I'm doing and make a fool of myself.
I've stayed up all night worrying about this. It's almost a quarter to 7 now. I'll talk to my husband and see what he thinks when he wakes up. But in the meantime, if anyone has any advice, or words of comfort or wisdom, please share it with me. Or a picture of a nice pet.
TL;DR I'm wondering if I should quit my first Artist Alley due to developments in my financial situation.

The final scenes of earth history! The last days are NOT sometime in the future that we are waiting to experience, the "last days" are now. Don't wait for the Sunday law to dedicate your life back to God. It is wonderful that God gives us such intricate teachings and counsels to guide us through each day so that we won't be afraid of the signs and wonders that we have seen, that we see, and that we will see.
Prophecy is given by God to prepare us, not to scare us.

THE LATTER RAIN
GC 445 “When the leading churches of the United States, uniting upon such points of doctrine as are held by them in common, shall influence the state to enforce their decrees and to sustain their institutions, then Protestant America will have formed an image of the Roman hierarchy, and the infliction of civil penalties upon dissenters will inevitably result.”

The Latter Rain and the Loud Cry

The Close of Probation

Shall we not do now what many thousands will wish they had done when the plagues begin to fall? Then it will be too late to surrender without reservation and earnestly pray for a daily baptism of the Holy Spirit.
Now is the time to put self aside and make speedy preparation for the Latter Rain.

Our task is not just to continue in the Lord’s service making large gains year after year. The hour is long overdue when we should let God use us to quickly finish the work by the might power of His Spirit.

This is the hour of greatest danger.
All that will survive the seven last plagues is a holy character.
The vital need—the greatest need of the Remnant church is not more members, more preachers, more money, or more facilities. The greatest need today is Spirit filled men and women.
We have great institutions
We have the greatest literature in the world.
We have the greatest organization in the world.
Who will respond without reservation to the mighty challenge of this climatic hour of earth’s history?
DANGER AHEAD

A Snare of Satan
GW 316 “As the end draws near, the enemy will work with all his power to bring in fanaticism among us.”

Those who are tempted to aid Satan by criticizing leaders or laity in the Remnant church would do well to ponder the counsel of God’s messenger in the following quotations:

TM 156 “Those who love Jesus will love the souls for whom He died. The truth planted in the heart will reveal the love of Jesus and its transforming power. Anything harsh, sour, critical, domineering, is not of Christ, but proceeds from Satan.”
The inclination to criticize should be a danger signal to us, for when the Holy Spirit purifies and transforms us, our hearts will be filled with love for God and for our brethren.
While it is true that the majority in the Remnant church are in the Laodicean state, many of whom will be shaken out, yet there is in the church a faithful group that will give heed to the counsel of Christ the True Witness. They will be prepared for the Latter Rain, share in giving the message with a loud Cry, and be ready for translation.
This is the Remnant church. God will not leas another movement. When the faithful ones give the message with great power during the Latter Rain, a great multitude will come out of failed churches, witness for their Master, and triumph with the redeemed on the sea of glass.
Now is the time to prepare for the Latter Rain. And we should remember daily that this work of preparation must take place under the Early Rain.

I’m interested in getting into digital marketing. Right now I just work part time at a grocery store. I’d like to have a real job and career so I can obviously have more income and save more money. I’d also like to move to a more “exciting” city in the US when the time is right (hopefully relatively soon)
I’m going to try and get an entry level digital marketing job around where I currently live until I have more experience and money and then see if I can move somewhere else and start my career there. Is this a realistic plan or will this not work? I know it’s expensive to live on your own these days (yes I still live with my parents, I’m 23)

Hi, I'm 26M. I am a "certified and registered" medical assistant (CRMA) since 2019 [pro tip, there is no difference between CMA and RMA, its literally the same]. I am certified and registered by the American Medical Technologists (AMT). I have always been fascinated by medicine. I was a very young child when I first got hooked, I have been seen every corner of medicine ever since. As it turns out, I'm pretty damn good in the field. I worked on this useless certification since before I was 18. In 2016, I graduated high-school and was a duel enrollment student my senior year. I went to my local community college during duel enrollment and was convinced by my superiors at the time that becoming a CMA was a great way to go.
I was told that by becoming a CRMA I would have bettehigher annual pay rates and higher probability of being hired for jobs. I was told that the credits I would obtain at my community college for this certification would be a great addition to many health related bachelor majors like Pre-Med and RN programs. Even contribute to a faster graduation much "like an associates". Only that I wouldn't have an associates which wouldn't be very "applicable" to the real world after graduation unless I continue to a bachelors. But a certification to get a "large head start".
Jesus fucking Christ, head start this, head start that, benefits here, benefits there. God, I want to vomit just listening to myself regurgitate all these words of affirmation said to me. Over the coarse of nearly 5 YEARS I am here to tell you that NOTHING of what I was assured or told was true.
Now here is the reality of what you will discover, post-covid, what being a CRMA really does for you.
- A CRMA certification grants you NO competitive benefits and NO reasonably competitive annual pay compared to anyone who gets hired with out a CRMA certification.
Literally no Benefits, none. I have been the lowest annually paid Technician, Medical Technician, Mental Health Technician, for EVERY JOB I EVER OBTAINED and WITH my CRMA certification. I worked at many extremely well known medical institutions from Childrens psychiatric residential care hospitals to where I am now working at one of the greatest health care institutions IN THE FUCKING COUNTRY of the USA and I am STILL one of the lowest paid compared to the majority of my fellow technicians. I currently get paid $18.20 an hour in one of the most expensive areas on the east coast. My co-workers laughed at me and then showed me their pay stubs at $24-26 per hour pay FOR THE SAME JOB. Then new hires that came after me getting $22 FOR THE SAME JOB, NO CRMA CERTIFICATION, NO BACHELORS, NOTHING. Yeah. Oh and good luck making that case to your manager. Getting any kind of raise is next to impossible no matter how long you work or how hard you work or how well you work at your position.

Yup, you heard it here first folks. Obtaining your CRMA certification means that you are of a higher education standard and can handle higher responsibilities, conduct more hands on care with patients, and even more universal in the world of medicine assistants for all kinds of levels of care. Yeaaahhh well after covid, that means that any and all health care networks are going to essentially hire anyone else to do those jobs. Qualified or not. According to my past managers, Nursing managers, and most business sides of health care networks, medical assistants have low level qualifications, little education, or education needs to even just become a CRMA. Furthermore, less urgent responsibilities, I guess? I was just doing CPR on a man in a 30 min code sweating my dick off but sure, I guess not. This means that from the business end perspective they don't need someone with higher qualifications to do the same job. It's simple economics. Why pay someone with proper qualifications $35-40,000 when you can choose the less qualified, less trained, and less educated person for $20-25,000 annually and still obtain the same results within a certain field of practice. It's the quantity over quality kind of mentality. Over my many years I have seen so many unqualified, uneducated, and relentlessly lazy individuals work beside me completely unaware of their responsibilities on the floors of the hospital. You WILL experience these people as your co-workers, guaranteed, now days more than ever.

After all was said and done and I "graduated" (I guess..) from my community college I went on to my bachelors only to find out that 90% OF MY CREDITS I TOOK AT COMMUNITY COLLEGE WERE NOT APPLICIBLE. Literally 90%, I essentially was 21 starting at my 4 year university and at ground zero with barely anything to show for my efforts to get this CRMA certification. Then covid hit, everyone had to go home, and that really messed everything up. I couldn't focus at home and my grades started to tank due to my really awful home situation but I'm not here to talk about that. So I decided to take a gap year to get a night shift Technician job back at home as a float technician. Never the less, in academia I was majorly behind. Yes Yes Yes, I know. Life is not a race, it's a journey. Some of us struggle more than others. However, here I am at 26, I need to work to pay for an apartment (which I can barely pay for because I'm just a tech in a really expensive area), I need to stand on my own 2 feet, I need to pay for my car and car insurance, I need my own health insurance as per required by the state, and I'm LITERALLY JUST A JUNIOR AFTER ALL THIS TIME. I'm part time in school now so I don't burn myself out working and going to school (tried that, nearly 2 years of my life 7 days a week, no sleeping in, no breaks, fall-winter-spring-summer, just to try and catch up and I will never do that again.). So, at the part time pace I'm going I will graduate 3 years or more from now if I don't go full time literally NOW. I WILL BE BASICALLY 30.... If I do go full time in school I'll be able to graduate in about 3 semesters, I have no idea how I'll be able to financially do that even with loans.

I have worked before, during, and after the worst of what covid-19 had to throw at us on Emergency department (ER), Intensive care, Progressive care, Medical-surgical care, Post Anesthesia care, Observation, hospice, and psychiatric care units/floors/facilities. I have seen families and children watch me as I do CPR on their Father before being shooed away so they aren't scarred for the rest of their life. I was forced to be sat on 1:1's with fully grown men with biceps the size of my face with the body build of a line backer having explosive and uncontrollable manic episodes, convincing themself that us health care workers were human traffickers, and somehow after hours of screaming what I can only describe as absolute madness, have the strength to bend the metal his restraints were tied too. I am 6'2", 220 lbs, consistently go to the gym and play lacrosse the majority of my life and for a moment I wondered if that was going to be my day. Furthermore, later in the day meeting said manic patients wife, I couldn't help but notice the bruises all over her face, her arms, legs, chest... everywhere.
I have witnessed patients with HSV-1 (facial/oral herpes), HSV-2 (Genital herpes) and HIV/AIDS fling various bodily fluids such as blood, spit, urine, excrement, and even ejaculate attempting infect someone with malicious intent. I had one patient admit that they tried to infect another purposefully because they didn't want to feel so alone. Patients will try to get to know you, you're going to be the one they probably see first or most through out the day when they use their call bell. Mostly, they'll want to have normal chit chat in normal ways but there is always that 1 or 2 with other intentions. I have my last name covered on my hospital ID because I WAS FOLLOWED. I am 26M, and all it took was some good and casual conversation talking about ourselves and our lives. I like to talk to my patients and get to know them so they know that I do care about their well being. Obviously, I'm not about to talk about crazy personal details of my life, separation of church and state n all that but that's all it took. Sad to say but even some of the insane have somewhat decent communication skills. A 12 hour shift and some conversation through out one shift, that's really all it takes. That was just one instance, my co-workers (the majority are female) have to many to keep tally.
You will encounter patients who are uncontrollably releasing their bowels and YOU are the one that needs to clean that up. House keeping isn't around the corner all the time and bleach wipes are there for a reason. You will encounter ALL bodily fluids on walls, floors, sinks, tables, chairs, beds, cabinets, and even on the ceiling (rare but yeah). You will be most likely responsible for your patients daily hygiene, dental, denture care, and shaving. If a patient is incapable of wiping after they released their bowls, and yes sometimes a little to early, got poop on themselves, their gown, socks, and down their leg... yup you guessed it, YOU gotta clean it up and in some cases re-wash the patient entirely. Most cases, your nurse or any help from fellow techs will be somewhere else probably dealing with another mess. Personal hygiene is ABSOLUTELY IMPORTANT for a patients health care while they are in your care. It's been proven that daily hygiene being done accelerates patient discharge rates. It matters. Which is why our position matters. If we don't wash our patients on a daily basis they will be more susceptible to infections and diseases. Especially if the patient is already immunocompromised. Depending on what unit you will be working on. You will also likely be responsible for checking equipment, making sure equipment is up to date, doing quality checks on defibrillators, refrigerators, and various other equipment that your unit uses every single day and for multiple times a day. I once witnessed two nurses go feral over a bladder scanner, I already bladder scanned both their patients by that time, both patients were fine. I could rant for an unfathomable amount of time about this position and all the essential things that we must do and provide with quality care and consistent accuracy. Don't get me started on Vaccinations at urgent cares, phlebotomy, obtaining samples for lab to do their mad scientist stuff, and the differences of technician/medical assistant responsibilities between different networks.

Conclusion...
This is a small section of what it means to be a dedicated Medical Assistant/Technician. Do yourself a favor. If everything I said doesn't worry you much, go for it. If you want the experience or the desire for the experience and you are in a state where you can value the experiences more than the pay, go for it. I was like that once too, now I have no choice but to think more about how I will pay for myself and my future. Regardless, The Lord knows we need the help and I'll be happy to meet you and train you. However, you must know that you will always be appreciated. You'll hear the phrase "we appreciate you" or "Thank you for all your help today", from your nurses, fellow techs, managers, nursing managers, and doctors alike right before you leave to clock out. You'll just never be properly valued the way you should for the immense efforts you provide. You'll be just a tech. The health care field worker bee....

I wrote this entry two days ago, when I noticed I couldn't see entries from those I followed, or those who followed me, and that the everyone tab wasn't updating. I can still see my entries, and create new ones, and the app is still available in the iPhone app store. At least it was yesterday. I light as well post this here, in case any of my Moodtrack friends find their way here.

It would seem moodtrack has died. Maybe it's just an issue on my end. If not, no one is going to read this anyway. I didn't realize how dependent I'd become on this place and some of the people here. Some of you, I'll genuinely miss. I can always vent into the void and journal as much I like, but it was always comforting to know somebody could read your thoughts if they wanted to, as incoherent, or repetitive as they might've occasionally been (okay, more than occasionally). I guess, for the most part, we were all just talking to ourselves. Heck, I'll even miss the people I wasn't too fond of. I feel bittersweet right now. I feel as if I've experienced a loss. This place was a good home, especially for those who didn't have a very strong support network irl, or those of us who simply didn't want to burden friends, family, or partners with our deepest, darkest thoughts. This app definitely had its issues, but I'm grateful for my time on it. I got along just fine without it before somebody told me about it. But, I'll miss it anyway. Some of you have been with me for a couple of yours now. You were all a part of my very small, inner world. I'm going to miss you. I hope life treats you all well. None of us are making it out of this existence alive, but I hope we enjoy the ride while it lasts, to the best of our abilities.
If this entry actually posts I'm going to feel really stupid, but I guess I'm just venting into the void as usual. Just one last time, eh? I guess, none of us should be too surprised this app finally died. It hasn't been updated or maintained in years. It wasn't going to last forever. Still, I hate losing you all. How have you decided on the travel system best for you?

As a BMus undergrad nearing the end of my degree, I'm still confused about the tenuto. While it's supposed to be held for its full duration, I've seen it applied in different ways. For instance, in some pieces, it's used to remind players (especially younger ones) not to release their notes shorter than the indicated value. In such cases, tenuto is taken quite literally. On the other hand, in wind ensembles, where I play most often, tenuto is used to give the notes a weighted feel, with an accent that could be represented by '<>' or '>' but without an attack or a subito dynamic.
As part of my education, I've been tasked with writing down objective definitions that can help prospective students understand musical markings like staccato or marcato. But when it comes to tenuto, I'm struggling to come up with something other than "hold for full length," which seems obvious and not very helpful. Other markings have clear rules, like staccato meaning half the intended length or marcato requiring a greater dynamic and weight, with the note played for half to 3/4 of its original value.
So my question is, is there a more general definition of tenuto that could be written down without causing confusion? I've seen similar threads on this topic, but I haven't found a clear answer that addresses my specific concerns. Any help would be appreciated.

True that he had written parts of it all over Europe; some of it was written in Switzerland, some in Italy, some even in Dorset Square.

The noise of the train prevented me from catching his answer, and leaning back in my seat, I fell to thinking of the extraordinary joy and interest that Bayreuth had been in my life ever since Edward and I went there for the first time at the beginning of the 'nineties, after hearing a performance of The Ring in London.
It had been the horns announcing the Rhine that re-awakened my musical conscience. The melodies of my own country I had never heard. Offenbach and Hervé stirred me to music when we went to live in London, and I carried to Paris all their little tunes in my head. Painters are often more or less musicians: one such drifted into our studio, and he introduced me to the Circle des Merlitons, where I heard Haydn, Beethoven, Mozart. Classical music ousted operette without difficulty; and as long as there were musical friends about, music was followed with as much interest as could be spared from the art of painting. But when the maladministration of my affairs called me from Paris to Ireland musical interests disappeared with my French friends; they were driven underground when agrarian outrages compelled me to consider the possibility of earning my living. The only way open to me was literature, so I went to London to learn to write, as has been told in a chapter in an earlier book.
In London literature and poverty absorbed me for several years, and I had forgotten music altogether when Edward asked me if I would go to hear The Rhinegold. I had consented, regretting my promise almost as soon as it was given, for Wagner was reputed unmelodious and difficult to all except the most erudite, and fearing that I should be bored for several hours by sounds which would mean nothing to me, I began to seek for excuses, and to ask Edward if he could not dispose of the ticket he had taken for me. He could not do this, and as my plaints did not cease, he said to me, as we walked up King's Bench Walk:
Well, there's no use your coming. All my pleasure will be spoilt.
The dark theatre reminded me of the rooms at exhibitions in which bad pictures are exhibited, no light showing anywhere except on the picture itself; but the moment the horns gave out the theme of the Rhine my attention was arrested, and a few minutes after it was clear that new birth awaited me. A day or two later I heard Tristan, and it so happened that there were performances at Bayreuth that year, so Edward and I went there together, and we have gone there many times since, each visit awakening every little musical faculty in me, and developing it; and though nothing can be created, a seed can be developed prodigiously, and a taste likewise, if the soil be fertile and circumstances fortunate. They were certainly favourable to my picking up this lost interest. Edward is a true melamonaic, loving all good music, and ready to travel anywhere to hear music; then there is Dujardin, who is always talking to me about music; his friends are musicians and whenever I go to Paris I am with musicians, talking about music when not listening to it, and once again my life began to unfold in a musical atmosphere. To feel one's life unfolding is joy. Life should never cease to unfold, and it will be time enough for Death to lower the banner when the last stitch of canvas is reached.
Now I was going to Bayreuth again, determined to understand The Ring a little better than heretofore. But was this possible? I can learn until somebody tries to teach me; all the same every man is at tether, and lying back in my seat in the train from Rothenburg, a little weary of conversation with Edward, I relinquished myself to regrets that my ear only allows me to hear the surface of the music, the motives which float up to the top, the transforming effect of a chord upon a melodic phrase. I can hear that Wagner's melodies arise naturally one out of the other. If I could not hear that every melody in Tristan rises out of the one that preceded it, Wagner would have written in vain, so far as I was concerned. My ear is but rudimentary, an ear that will seem like no ear to those who can hear the whole orchestra together and in detail, seeing in their mind's eye the notes that every instrument is playing. It is well to have their ears, but mere ear will not carry anybody very far; to appreciate music an intelligence is necessary; and those who are not gifted with too much ear can hear the music oftener than those who can read it. Last year in Paris Dukas told me he would not go to hear some music with me because he had read it, and having once read a piece of music there was nothing left in it for him.
So essentially human is Wagner that there is something in his art for everybody, something in his music for me, and a great deal for musicians; and besides the music, some part of which everybody except the tone-deaf can hear, there are the dramas, wonderful in conception and literary art; for him gifted with imagination there are scenes in The Ring as beautiful as any in Shakespeare; and were Dujardin pressed to state his real feeling on the subject he would affirm that nothing has been written in words as moving as the scene in which Brünnhilde tells Siegmund that Wotan is calling him to Valhalla. Not the music, Dujardin cries—it is not the music that counts, but the words. The music is beautiful, of course it is—it couldn't be else; but so intensely aware was Wagner of the poetry that he allowed it to transpire.
One can think about Dujardin and Wagner without the time appearing long; and I had forgotten a very important matter about which there had been a great deal of correspondence, till I was suddenly reminded of it by a slackening in the speed of the train.
At the time I am writing of, Bayreuth was an uncomfortable town to live in; it has changed a good deal within the last ten years, and in the twentieth century we get better food in the restaurants than we did in the nineteenth; bathrooms have begun to appear, the fly-haunted privy is nearly extinct, and this was the important matter that the slackening of the train's speed had reminded me of. We had written many letters, and had many interviews with the agent who apportions out the lodgings, and my last words had been to him, A clean privy! He had promised that he would see to it, but from the direction in which the coachman was driving us, it would seem that the desirable accommodation was not procurable in the town. It was Edward who noticed that our coachman was heading straight for the country, and standing up in the carriage, he began to expostulate—ineffectually, however, for Edward's German is limited and the driver only laughed, pointing with a whip towards a hillside facing the theatre, and there we saw a villa embowered and overlooking a corn-field, a lodging so delightful that I could not but feel interested in Edward's objection to it.

Je pense partir en PVT en Corée du Sud fin 2023/début 2024. Je me penche actuellement sur la question du budget une fois sur le sol coréen.
J'ai un Master en traduction et j'ai une expérience préalable dans ce domaine. Aussi j'aimerais effectuer des missions de traduction en freelance lors de mon séjour à l'étranger pour pouvoir (au moins en partie) subvenir financièrement à mes besoins.
J'ai plusieurs questions à ce sujet :
-Est-ce possible, et si oui, dans quel pays dois-je domicilier mon auto entreprise? -Si mon entreprise est domiciliée en France, vais-je payer uniquement les impôt français, ou je dois aussi déclarer en Corée? -Quand on part en PVT en Corée, il y a un nombre limité d'heures de travail sur le territoire (25 heures ici). Les heures de freelance compteront-elles dans ces 25 heures? Ou puis-je cumuler avec un petit job sur place?

It seems from reading this support article (Add a phone to your account https://support.google.com/fi/answe7322914?hl=en) that once i receive my Pixel 7, i could use my Moto G7 to login to my Google Fi account to add the Pixel 7 to my account.
Once i've done that, the support article seems to indicate that when i then turn on my Pixel 7 (already with the SIM inserted bacause i'm planning to buy it directly from Google Fi store), i would most probably be asked to sign in with the Google Account i used to sign up for Google Fi. (is this because the Google Fi app would have also come pre-installed to start up on the Pixel 7?)
The support article then instructs the reader to follow the on-screen steps to activate service on the new phone (in my case the Pixel 7) but does not provide anymore details.
So i was wondering ... could someone who's gone thru the process or who are in the know be kind enough to please provide a little bit more details for me so i'll know if i can activate service on my Pixel 7 without requiring anything else other than just having my Moto G7 (for example, i currently dont have Comcast nor a computer anymore [part of wanting to simplify my life]). If a Wifi connection is needed would temporarily tethering the Pixel 7 to the Moto G7 work fine (my Google Fi plan does allow tethering).

Introduction
Before I started chrome extension development, I had looked around various sites to see if browser extension development was viable income stream but all I found were discouraging comments about how people had thousands, tens of thousands of users but no viable income.
Fortunately, I had enough interest in programming and chrome extension development to give it a shot.
I am glad I did.
A chrome extension with a few hundred users has been making around $500 per month on average.
Aside from the initial coding and a few hours fixing bugs and responding to customer issues, the app runs automatically without much of a back-end to speak of.
I decided to write a post explaining how to create the chrome extension, how to upload upload and market it.
requirements
You need a chrome developer account. It costs $5 for lifetime access and you’ll be able to upload 20 different extensions. Google allows you to open an unlimited number of such developer accounts. Alternatively, you can upload the extension to the edge extension store which for now is free.
You can read through the tutorial to understand the details or

1. you can just get the source code,
2. modify it as I have mention in the tutorial
3. upload it to your developer account
4. start developing another income source.

Creating the extension
A chrome extension consists of the following major parts:

1. the manifest.json file
2. the background JS file (or files)
3. the content script JS file (or files)
4. the popup page
5. the options page

The manifest file is essentially a ledger that shows which scripts are allowed to run
the background script is where most of the extension’s functionalities reside. For the source code provided, you don’t need to add or modify any functionality
the content scripts are activated and executed on web pages. You can choose which content scripts get executed in which web pages using the permissions attribute.
the popup is a small web page that’s rendered when you click the icon on the browser menu. It therefore consists of a HTML file, a CSS file and a JS file
the options page is also web page that’s rendered when you go to the options of the installed extension. It also consists of a HTML file, a CSS file and a JS file
Since this is not a coding tutorial but more for a non technical person to upload a chrome extension, I’ll just mention the things you’ll want to change in the source code I give if you want to try this method out.
If readers are interested, I can follow up this tutorial with an I depth article where I jump into the code and the choices that were made therein.
Things to modify
If you are going to use the source code provided in the links, the things you should modify to customize your extension include:

1. name in the manifest.json file
2. description in the manifest.json file
3. author value in the manifest.json file
4. version number in the manifest file although this isn’t necessary
5. icons. Keep the names identical to the original ones or if you choose different names, change the names in the manifest file.
6. donate link in the popup JS file. Change the PayPal link on line 38 to your own link

After paying for this account, the following are the resources you need for the listing:

1. a store icon of 128 * 128 px

You can choose any category you want. I choose blogging but you can choose something like productivity or one you see is a better fit for the extension.
Since extensions have scripts that require permissions to run, you have to give the reasons why you need specific permissions.
This is a security measure to avoid an extension that asks for permissions that may compromise a users browsecomputer.
The following are the permissions that the extension needs and the associated permission. You can reword the reason if you see fit.

getting traffic
I used the 3 major things to get traffic. They include:

1. SEO
2. influencer marketing on TikTok
3. YouTuber traffic

At the time of making this extension I had no money to use for advertising so I decided to take the 3 free traffic sources that I felt I could work on for an extended period of time.
SEO
The only SEO I did was in the description. I made sure I used proper words in the description without coming off as spammy.
YouTube Traffic
I used a website called channel crawler (just google it). It has a free tier that gives a list of YouTube channels based on, among other things, niche and YouTube subscriber count.
I figured that I should go for smaller YouTubers since the larger ones tend to already have monetized their channels with all sorts of things (membership sites, affiliate links etc). I decided to go for niche channels with under 50k subs that didn't have much of a monetization strategy.
After getting a list of YouTubers, the email extraction was repetitive and time consuming. I'd go to the channel, go to the about page and reveal the email. After doing this a number of times, YT would ask me to solve a capta. I wanted to write a bot to automate this but I decided to first do it manually to see if the idea would pan out.
Now, I noticed that YT only allows you to get about 10 emails every 24 hours. How I went around this was by creating another channel. A new channel on the same account meant a new profile that I could extract around 10 more emails. YT allows around around 50 (or is it 75) channels for a single account. So that means one can extract >500 emails per day with one email account (very tedious by hand, a python script would have made this much easier)
I extracted around around 1200 emails with this method and put them in an excel sheet.
Next came the cold emailing.
I made sure that the email copy had the following characteristics:

1. short, about 100 to 200 words
2. got straight to the point (no fluff words like ‘how is your day’)
3. had a clear call to action. In this case, I wanted a video review and a link on the description

I should also add that I used gmail to send out the emails. I don't think the emails were going to spam because I wasn't send too many from one account. around 40 per email account.
TikTok traffic
I basically opened an account and started following and cold messaging small TikTok creators until some decided to review the extension.
While I got some leads here, most of the traffic has come from the previous 2 traffic sources

Hi everyone, my name is Lauren Purves and I am a Student Vet Nurse in the 4th year of my course. I am currently undertaking a dissertation for my Honours Project, it’s called ‘ An investigative study into cat owners’ knowledge of feline osteoarthritis and the need for further education.’
I want to find out how much cat owners know about cat arthritis, and which techniques would help people to learn more! It’s a topic I am very passionate about, and hopefully my project will help Veterinary Nurses come up with ideas to help people learn more about it.
The main part of my research will be an online survey which I have linked down below. It will ask you some questions about your current arthritis knowledge, then give you a little information on the topic. Then it will ask which learning method you would appreciate the most. If you want to take part in my research the only requirements are: you must be at least 18 years old, and you must have a pet cat!
The survey is anonymous, so any data you do submit will be untraceable back to you. The survey should take no longer than 10 minutes, and you are free to withdraw at any point until the data is submitted.

When I quit, it was important for me to have a plan... a quitting strategy, if you will. I took this approach because I knew if I went "by the seat of my pants" there'd be a lot of room for error and I'd most likely fail. I didn't want to use kratom any more and was determined to quit for good. Nearly 3 years later and I still feel the same way about it.
I wrote out a list of reasons that I wanted to quit. Part of that list was side-effects I was getting as a result of my kratom use. Nowadays I suggest people make a second list... a list of things (hobbies, sports / physical activities, family events, career endeavors, etc.) that they used to do prior to kratom, but no longer do. Added to that list could be new life experiences you'd like to try. More things can be added to this list as the fog clears and new fresh ideas and goals come to you.
Next on my plan was to decide if I wanted to taper or go CT. Then chose a quit date. (When tapering, this could be a bit flexible if I wanted to jump from the taper sooner than anticipated depending on how I felt. But this was not a date to keep pushing back and trying to avoid the inevitable. Although things happen and sometimes we have to reassess in the other direction too.) I chose to taper. I ended up tapering for only 7 weeks. I went from 20-30gpd and jumped from 3gpd. ( I ended up jumping sooner than I expected because of a couple "signs from above", so to speak, which I've described in earlier posts.) I journaled every day during my taper and in my early stages of quitting. I can't remember specifically, but I probably journaled for about my first 3 months clean. I journaled about what my planned tapered doses for that day were and what my actual doses were. I wrote about how I felt physically and mentally. I wrote about anything that came to mind about quitting and where I was at during my quit.
The smart way for most people probably is to prepare themselves for acute withdrawals. i.e. Get whatever supplements you want to use, and / or doctor prescribed helper meds, a heating pad, whatever you need if you're prone to RLS, etc. I, unfortunately, did very little of that. I didn't have the benefit of this subreddit until I was already in the middle of acutes. So, I really didn't know that supplements could help. And I made a choice to not use any meds. That's just my personal choice. In retrospect, do I wish I took something for sleep early on? Yeah, probably. (Insomnia was horrendous for me.) But I somehow powered through without. That "feat" doesn't make me special or heroic or anything like that. It made me sleep deprived though :)
I didn't have a plan for PAWS at first, because again, I didn't know about it until I found this subreddit. As I went along I picked up different "tips" and "tricks" that work for me... a plan for long term "sobriety", I suppose... How I stay quit on a daily basis.
What is (or was) your PLAN FOR QUITTING? For those who've already quit with some time passed, did you stick to your original plan or did you have to make tweaks and changes as you went along? For those who are new (or just coming back from a relapse, do you have a plan you are confident in or do you think you need some help with it? Is there anyone who's quit without a real plan but maybe you developed one later down the road? What were your experiences with having a solid "plan of attack" vs. just kinda' doing it on the fly? Was a plan important for you, or does a "take it as it comes and adjust from there" approach work better for you?
For me, I've found that it helps to write things out (or type them out, in the technologically modern times we live in now). If you've been wanting to quit but you don't have a plan, maybe now is the time to make one. Please share your thoughts and experiences about it. Hopefully this will benefit someone.
You CAN quit kratom. You are stronger than you think. 💪 Quit and stay quit. 👍
Edit: I forgot to mention one of the most important things of all that helped me to quit, stay quit and follow through on my quitting plan: Visit and participate in this subreddit as often as possible. I used the Daily Check-in Thread consistently every day for the first two years. That helped me tremendously.
