I took my boat out on Saturday night for the 3rd run of the year. Engine cut out on me near the 20ft turn so drifted into the bank and moored up for the night. On Sunday morning a Fox's engineer was kind enough to walk down the fields to find me and try to repair. Found a stuck solenoid cutting off diesel flow to the engine. Only solution was to remove the rubber diaphragm to allow fuel flow and get the boat the four or five miles back to Fox's Marina. This meant going through the centre of March which is narrow and in places has boats moored on either side (plus the two hire boats coming in the opposite direction). With the solenoid reinstalled the first mile was great (much smoother than before) but the engine then had a massive overrun in RPM all on its own which I could not reduce. This led to me having a choice of 1400 RPM in gear or 2100RPM in neutral. Putting it back into gear led to some massive clunk's and feeling the boat lower down at the stern as the power was chucked into the prop. Each time I put it into neutral the RPM would steadily climb with no way to reduce it so I tried my best to go as slow as possible through town but just after the town centre I felt I couldn't keep whacking the clutch/gearbox with that many revs (basically like dumping the clutch in a car whilst revving it to hell). This meant I had to plow through the tiny windy river at way over tickover (even though the throttle was on tickover) wincing everytime I passed an unoccupied moored boat and apologising profusely to the occupied boats. Have to say though everyone was lovely when I advised a stuck throttle. Just want to say a massive sorry if anyone spilt their tea. Oddly one of my smoothest entrances into the Marina though....

For 5 days a week, once a day, I take 400-600mg of Piracetam with roughly 400mg of choline bitartrate and 600mg of caffeine in the morning with probably 5 cups of ordinary tea throughout the day. I also take a multivitamin, BCAA's and vitamin C and D.
My problem is that on the Saturday I am off and sleep in, I get terrible brain fog and drowsiness throughout the day despite getting a good night's sleep. This sometimes persists to the Sunday and isn't as bad but is still noticeable. I do not take anything besides regular tea on these days.
I know some people take higher doses of Piracetam but at this dosage I can function pretty well cognitively day to day.
Is it possible I am experiencing some kind of withdrawal or lacking some other supplement? I haven't been able to pin down a cause by general googling. Any explanations would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

Hello! So this week I got this new PC, it's nothing fancy but a definite upgrade to my thing that died recently. Here are the specs:

I got this computer on tuesday, set it up normally, installed a few definitely not recent games and have been using and playing without a problem. Turn the thing on today and it's running every game like ass.
Games I tested:

• GTAIV: ran at around 60fps before, almost everything maxed, now doing between 8 and 12, and you can see it struggle to render things like sidewalks and buildings, even close to them
  
• Mirror's Edge: Catalyst, ran at about 30fps consistently, not great but I hadn't explored why yet. Tried now and only get... 4....
  
• Counter Strike: Source, installed just to test, because it's old and with an established engine, should run at a couple hundred fps easily but I'm getting 40.
  

Things I tried:

• updating driver to the latest version through the AMD software, as it wasn't on the latest before (23.5.1)
  
• Googling, but all I can find are various old threads about similar but not quite issues, like people reporting artifacting and such, and the solutions when someone even replies are always "reinstall/update drivers" and such
  

I really need some help troubleshooting what is even going on, what changed from yesterday to today and knowing that, how to fix this. I just wanted to play some games on a lazy sunday morning...

My dog spit up some blood. Not a lot just a palm sized amount. I forgot to take a picture before I cleaned it up. It was not DARK red, it was fairly light. Like light strawberry syrup. My wife said it looked like meat package juice with mucus.
He is acting fine but has not ate since yesterday morning. (TODAY IS SUNDAY) he will eat his little treats and like bread.
Saying all this, our dog does have some anxiety when we are gone. And we were gone longer than we usually are yesterday. I’m wondering if it could be anxiety, stomach ulcers, or what? He hasn’t done this before Our vets near us are closed today, and nothing near us. Could someone shed some advice?

I live in a busy area and my foster dog is reactive to other dogs, new stimuli, and people behaving weirdly. He has a lot of general fear and anxiety and it’s hard to get him to feel comfortable to go potty.
For that reason, I potty him across a small backroad in state maintained grass. The other dog walkers in my community don’t venture down this road much so there are far fewer triggers in that area, which we know is important. Obviously I always pick up after him.
Friday I was trying to get him to pee over there and some guys in a lawn truck rolled by and said “Hey sweetie!! You live in those apartments?” 😒 My dog starts barking his face off bc people yelling to us from a truck is unusual behavior. I say Yes?! And they say “Yknow they have a dog park down there!” I said “Okay thanks” in an annoyed way, bc it feels unsafe to not be polite as I’m a woman, alone. I turn my attention to calming my dog and they leave.
Today, Sunday I was walking my dog along the same road. He wasn’t pottying, he did that earlier, it was just a walk. That same truck rolled by and slowed down, but I ignored it. I realized it was these men checking on me and my dog (probably to accuse me of leaving poop, which I don’t do) as they slow to a stop 100 feet ahead and look at me in the rear view. We continue on our walk, and the truck looped around the parking lot at the end and passed me, and the guy actually GOT OUT OF the truck and looked around on the ground where he initially saw my dog sniffing. I saw him spit on the ground in annoyance that he didn’t find anything and get back in his truck!!
First of all, it’s Sunday morning on a holiday weekend. Isn’t it unlikely that these guys would be working? Does that mean he was waiting in his truck in my apartment parking lot hoping to catch me in the crime of leaving my dogs poop on public grass so he could harass me further? Basically, wtf??
Also, not enjoying the implication that I can’t think for myself. I don’t take this dog to the dog park bc it is far too busy and I need to keep him below threshold. It’s almost like I have my own brain and am capable of making choices based on logic and reasoning that he is not aware of and doesn’t deserve to have explained to him bc it’s not his business. Also eff him for calling me sweetie. “Hey” or “miss” or even “ma’am” would’ve been more appropriate bc I am a human deserving of respect, not someone’s brainless sweetie.
Anyway, what should I do if this happens again? He’s never going to catch me leaving poop bc I don’t do that but I’m getting the feeling that I might be being watched. And if I go out for a walk without my dog I’m not sure I’ll feel safe.

Will future bear markets be less volatile for Bitcoin? I’m talking a couple more halvings from now when the rewards for blocks mined are less than 1 bitcoin.
A few things behind my thought are increased scarcity and hopefully self custody is vastly increased.
Of course there are many variables that can throw the markets off like China banning crypto for the 69th time, another exchange going under or Satoshi performing the ultimate rug pull.

My 12 year old cat has had some diarrhea on and off for a few weeks, and I have no idea what is causing it. First I thought it was from treats, so I cut those, but it still happened. Then I thought it was maybe from some carrots that are in her wet food (that she has been on for 3 years) because she had some diarrhea earlier in the week and (gross, tmi sorry) it was full of the carrot pieces, which I've never seen her poop out in full like that before. So I started picking the carrots out of her food. Sunday she wasn't eating much (not normal for my 15 pound maine coon mix), but later in the day had a poop that had a lot of hair in it, so I thought maybe she just had a hairball, passed it, and we were okay. Tuesday night she had normal bathroom stuff. Wednesday morning we were back to diarrhea, so I took her to a vet. They did bloodwork that all came back normal. I brought in a stool sample, but she is indoor only, so they said hold off. They sent her home with probiotic paste and some to sprinkle onto her food, and also a new perscription food (she's been on hills c/d because she's had uti's in the past.) She had a normal poop Weds morning, and then another diarrhea. The vet Weds said if it doesn't clear up, we can do a stool sample and xrays, but didn't seem to think stool sample or xrays were important right now because she said she didn't feel like she was blocked up, and should be okay since she is indoor only as far as the stool sample. I've been told her whole life that she has allergies, but we don't know to what. She always sneezes, has runny eyes, itchy skin. Her food has been the same for the past 3 years. She has gotteb diarrhea once in a while before, but not where it's been on and off for a few weeks. I'm just not understanding why she will have a normal poop, and the a day or two later back to diarrhea like once and then back to normal. The vet said it could be caused by so many things, and I thought that by at least having the bloodwork done, it would rule out anything serious but the vet did say possibilities could be some form of cancer that can only be detected with a biopsy (of what, I don't know because there is nothing to biopsy). She acts, eats, drinks, pees normally. It's just random bouts of this diarrhea that I'm not sure what is from.
Yesterday I noticed she had what we think is a pimple under her chin she ripped open (she has cat acne.) I took her to another vet, who gave her a topical antibiotic for it, and also gave us an antibiotic for the diarrhea to see if it helped. Yesterday morning she had a normal poop, then later had diarrhea again. Today she had one normal poop piece, and another half normal poop piece/half diarrhea. I am sprinkling probiotic on her food, giving her probiotic paste as well. We did slowly switch her new wet food to the hills i/d brand, but she's only slowly been on it for a few days, and her old is still be mixed. The vet yesterday didn't seem concerned, and said it can be caused from so many issues. She did say her bloodwork all looked normal and fine.
Has anyone had anything similar happen? I asked the vet if it could be a food allergy and she said possibly, but I would think if it was a food allergy, it would be constant? Thank you so much to anyone who may have stuck around and read this with any ideas! Not asking for advice, just wondering if anyone has experienced this as I'm unsure what else to do. My cat is my life and I would do anything for her, so I'm just looking to see if anyone has any ideas as I'm terrified that something else may be going on, or maybe this is just a food allergy. The vet did tell me they can have that happen out of nowhere, so I guess it isn't completely unlikely. Everything else about her is completely normal- eating, drinking, cleaning, all acting the same.

I havent journeyed since Friday. Its Sunday morning. I'm not as tired as I was yesterday so I'll be glad for that. Have you ever been so drained that when your brain does get a little dopamine maybe and you feel a little happy you are very aware that you just started feeling happy? Or joyful? You laughed at a joke and felt the difference? I mean, it doesnt last long but feeling it and knowing I am means my brain is settling I guess so I'll take it
I could speak at length on my mental illness and the various ways it effects me and directs my day to day life but today I dont qant to. I want to talk about flowers. Or demon slayer. Or hobbits. I mean I dont have anything to say.... but those would be my preferences I guess.
Maybe I'll try to write some more later.
