I know there is not so much sympathetic portrayal of the Brackens. their badass rival house is literally related to several protagonists, one of the most important characters of the backstory and to one of the most popular Targ Kings but despite all of these I fell very bad for Bracken women…

I have vague memory of watching a cartoon or short with generic stickman figures, except they were yellow. I don’t remember much other than there were two yellow characters with white eyes and semi big black pupils? one possibly had round framed glasses. It was very simplistic 3D animation and i don’t remember the name but i do remember it having an O in the title that bounced around and moved like jelly. The last thing I can recall was seeing the yellow figure with glasses sitting on a couch talking to the other yellow figure, I think they were supposed to be father and son. this was a long time ago so I might be getting details wrong but i know for certain it was on the baby first tv channel, though. so that might help a whole lot.

Okay, so I am 75 hours into CK3. Hours of tutorials watched during my workday. Have started fresh about 20 million times. Every time I progress a little further, something bad comes through and rips the table cloth out from underneath me while trying to enjoy a succulent meal. It's not enjoyable, I paid for that steak.

Started as sexy Sweden in 867's with the goal of creating the Scandinavian Empire. My tactic is to pop out 1 child like a speedy watermelon and then remarry to an old, dusty, grumpy infertile character so that my titles go to my one true heir (Even though this doesn't always work for some reason) . RISKY BUISNESS but helps with tribal government limitations because ya know, let's make the game as annoying (realistic) as possible!
Rough Timeline: Please note, Vassals were all green and happy multiple times at Empire point. - Go through blood, sweat and pumpkin soup to Capture all Duchies and Kingdoms required to create Scandinavian Empire. (Didn't create Kingdom Titles until after Empire creation)
- Create Empire, instantly someone complains about my leadership due to Culture or Faith and I accidentally fat finger the keyboard and give them their independence instead of fighting. I saw the same prompt later, which enabled war instead. I lost half the Empire due to this fat fingering.
- Suck it up and go through and recapture over half of the Empire again that I lost due to miss click.
- Finally recapture it all again, character dies and I get left with a terrible heir that should have been disposed of but push on.
- My terrible heirs child is going to be a Spartan Superstar Woman so I work towards having her as a new main, capturing the last bits of land in the Empire and then holding tight in that space, like a kid in a fenced in play area. Then making sure Vassals are happy and with a place on the council, fucking losers.
- My new heir comes in to power and takes a seat on the porcelain throne, BOOM! Vassals rise up again. So many I can't see their player cards on the war screen. As a new young leader, I don't have the strength perks to fight them. While this is going on, I had married an infertile male partner but apparently he went and had the tied tubes procedure reversed because my heir was still popping out babies. Realising I wouldn't win the war and would lose so much AGAIN, a tear ran down my face. My character dies during a battle which is great because the war ends but I didn't expect it. Oh but wait, she had slopped out another speedy watermelon son during that time which I didn't get time to murder, so I my Empire gets split in half AGAIN!
At this point, I let the game run to see what would happen. Cultural uprisings. Faith Uprisings. Shit was going sideways so fast but not as fast as I hit the "quit to desktop" button.
I worked so hard to get Adopt Feudal ways. People of different cultures wouldn't accept my character as a sexy Swedish person, Should I be running any council schemes to help this? I have no idea how to make everyone happy on that scale? Should I only have 5 vassals with lots of titles or 15 little bitches with a couple of titles each? I love the game, but I am just so tired of putting in so much time and energy to have everything just crumble so easily because I am a loser and don't read everything properly. I want to sit on my throne, make people happy, win defence wars and upgrade to mighty castles.
It looks like holding the Empire title is near impossible or really hard? I had 7 counties held the whole time inside 2 Duchies that were fully upgraded within the start game tech. At one point I had a nearly 20k army, but the character dies and you just end up with your trash kid that you should have murdered who has no perk points or anything really going for it. I wish there was more control over your heir while still playing as the parent, so you could model it how you wanted it to grow up.
I reformed the Old Asatru Faith to Asatru but for some reason my counties still had the old religion but my vassals had the new? What am I supposed to do once it's reformed? Nearly all vassals converted but then all of a sudden they rise up against me because their breakfast cereal has a little too much milk in it? - How many Counties or titles maximum should each vassal have? One guy had 14 at one point but it's that or have a bunch of babies crying about council positions. - Is there a way to tell who doesn't need a council position before you grant them titles? I can't find that anywhere. - Is there any advice for culture or faith conversion? What should I be doing with it? How can I make all the little people happy underneath me so that I can rule my kingdom, fight off invaders and live with my cat? - I want to try again, so badly, but I am scared. Shivering. I usually go down the war path and quickly get the perks that make Champions strong and plenty. I don't understand any of the other game mechanics well enough to use them to my advantage. Should I kill vassals? Then how do I have high enough intrigue as well as fighting power?
Anyway, I hated my Sunday. Might eat some bad food because I feel sorry for myself. :D

I'm travelling to see my long time friends in Sweden in July and would really like to take the 'perfect' British gifts for them.

Is there such a thing as private OTs who work with insurance (Aetna, if it matters)? I'm in north eastern USA.
My 16 month old son recently got evaluated for various issues and was told he would benefit from OT, but I believe he wouldn't qualify for state early intervention since he met all his official milestones. The OT who did the evaluation works privately (meaning, not as part of a school or institution), charges $125/session and doesn't work with insurance at all.
Is that normal? Is there a way to find OTs who will work with insurance?

My (42f) son is 15 soon. I usually trust him with phone / going out with friends etc. I don’t usually have any issues with him and I hug him at least once a day. However, I know there’s a lot of cyber bullying going on in his school and when he left his phone home to charge I had a quick check to make sure he wasn’t a target ( or a bully). I saw no evidence of either but I saw a new msg where he says he cries, hates the way he looks and his friend suggested he cuts back on smoking and vaping to maybe improve his mood (no clue he did either). Now I don’t know what to do with this info. I want to help him but to come straight out with it will maybe prevent him from texting friends about it in the future. Any ideas on how I should proceed? I’ve seen mixed theories. And what I think I know about how it works is even more confusing 😂. So supposedly I was taught it works like this, not these EXACT same numbers but just to make it simple.
You upload a video, let’s say YouTube serves it to 10 people, and 1 out of 10 people ( 10% CTR) click the video. It immediately says “ this is a good video, let me serve it to 50 people now” and keeps going up until eventually the CTR falls and kills the video or it keeps going on to wider and wider audiences.
My question is, IF it indeed works like that ( I’m open to the possibility that i know nothing) doesn’t it mean that unless you nail the title and thumb out the gate, your video is gonna suffer?

I played a game this week where someone spammed “SNAP?” non-stop and our game got up to 8 cubes. They ended up winning and right before I closed out they sent a Ms Marvel thumbs up emote.
I felt sick to my stomach and had to lie down for a while I was so dizzy. I haven’t spoken to my family for days or leave my room just knowing that there are sick monsters out there who are capable of such a thing.
I called local law enforcement who swear they can’t do anything, but I think they are in on it.
I have vowed to not only never play this game again, but will also be throwing my phone away.
None of this would have happened if only there were just some way to mute the other player. My life is ruined because of the Ms Marvel emote.

Ok so I hadn't even heard of Aphantasia until today. Was walking in the park with my family and my son, who loves learning new words and their meaning was describing "this rare condition where people can't actually see their memories like we can but I can't remember what the name is" (sidenote apparently not quite being able to remember the the word but it's on the tip of your tounge is called "lethologica" which ironically he'd just taught me a few minutes before) "they can remember stuff and tell you about it but they can't visualise it like us."
I was really confused and after further questioning I found out people can actually see things the remember or imagine in a similar was to how I can see the phone I'm typing this on right now???
How the hell does that work? Why did I never realise I remember things in a different way to most people and how have I managed to go 42 years not knowing I'm surrounded by people with this weird superpower? Is it not distracting?
I remember when I was a kid and struggling in school they sent me for a dyslexia test (I don't have it) and after it the guy asked me to think about an apple and tell him how far in front of me it was when I imagined it. I had no clue what the maniac was talking about and he just kept asking the same question so I eventually said "about a foot in front of me" to shut him up and he seemed happy with that answer... I guess I understand what the imaginary apple man was going on about now.
Anyway, I'm kind of feeling blown away. Like I'm sure this hasn't had a big impact on my life but now I'm seriously wondering what else my brain is doing wrong that I have no idea about?

I'm sure most of us are familiar with standard house rules like no Come Here spam, no Casino spam, no Alchemist infinite gold, no Local Item Value abuse, no colluding for Darkling equipment, etc. any others you guys like to use?
I'm currently playing with a group that banned Vanish when Darkling is on board and that's made for a more fun time where Darkling gets to wreck a bit more havoc and employ more Dark Arts. It was a lot of thumb-twiddling hoping to get points for assaults/Castle Panic otherwise.
Depending on the skill level/goals of the group, I've also been thinking of floating the idea of not being allowed to use Escape vs. other players.
