2023.05.28 19:18 avonitramazle Looking for suggestions: USA
I'll go to the USA for Work&Travel program this summer. I'll spend 2 months working near Richmond, VA, then I'll have about a week for travelling somewhere before going back to Richmond and then home.
Where should I go? Is it worth it spending a day or two just for travelling to/back from West coast? Should I stay close to Richmond?
I'll probably have a chance to visit NYC, D.C, Niagara Falls, Virginia Beach during the working period, so I'm not interested in those.
I'd prefer nature, mountains, rivers, lakes, outdoorsy stuff, like hiking, rafting, cycling, maybe a national park. Basically I'm not that interested in cities, museums, fancy hotels, restaurants.
Right now I'm looking at cheap flight options to Denver or Las Vegas. Keep in mind that I won't have a car, so getting to national parks or similar places will be hard. I'm open to any suggestions.

2023.05.28 18:51 ShaolinMaster The Bay Area's GDP is 7.93 times larger than Las Vegas' GDP and 5 times larger than the entire state of Nevada's GDP
I've been reading lots of posts on Reddit and articles in the national media about the A's potentially relocating from Oakland to Las Vegas. Many of these discussions have mentioned the population sizes of the two markets as well as the TV market sizes. However, none of the articles or posts I've read have discussed the A’s potential relocation based on the economic sizes of the two metro areas by analyzing their respective GDPs.
In the research below, I’ve attempted to use the actual GDP numbers directly from the federal reserve, as the St. Louis Federal Reserve’s office seems to helpfully post this data online for free. You can see links to all of the data below.
The Bay Area’s Annual GDP Note that “billion” is abbreviated as “bn” below. Also, the federal reserve splits the Bay Area into two separate MSAs (metropolitan statistical areas). I’ve included data for both the San Francisco-Oakland MSA and the San Jose MSA since MLB and other sports leagues consider the San Jose part of the same “market” as the San Francisco-Oakland metro area.
- San Francisco-Oakland-Berkeley MSA: $668bn (2021)
- San Jose-Sunnyvale-Santa Clara MSA: $410bn (2021)
- The combined Bay Area GDP: $1.078 trillion
Las Vegas and Nevada Annual GDP This means the Bay Area’s combined GDP is 5 times larger than the entire state of Nevada, and 7.93 times larger than the Las Vegas metro area For perspective, if the Bay Area was its own state,
it would have the 5th largest GDP in the country, ranked between Florida ($1.389 trillion) and Illinois ($1.033 trillion).
The state of Nevada’s GDP ranks as #32 between Iowa and Kansas. No other state with a GDP smaller than Nevada currently has an MLB team, unless you count Kansas (since part of Kansas City is in Kansas and part is in Missouri) or the District of Columbia.
Of the top 50 US cities (by MSA) ranked by GDP, the San Francisco-Oakland-Berkeley MSA is ranked #4 in the US, the San Jose MSA is ranked #13. Combined, the Bay Area would be ranked #3 in the country, roughly equal to #2 ranked Los Angeles ($1.124 trillion GDP).
Las Vegas’ GDP is ranked #36, which is between San Antonio and Salt Lake City. It would be the second smallest economy in baseball ahead of only Milwaukee (#45).
If you look at the CSA (combined statistical area), the Bay Area’s population (of San Jose-San Francisco-Oakland’s CSA) is 9.482 million. Las Vegas is the #29th ranked CSA (Las Vegas-Henderson CSA) with 2.345 million people. Of the CSA rankings, only Cincinnati (#30 - 2.318 million people) and Milwaukee (#33 - 2.044 million people) have MLB teams.
In terms of MSA population, the San Francisco-Oakland Berkeley MSA contains 4.579 million people and is ranked 13 in the country. The San Jose-Sunnyvale-Santa Clara MSA has 1.938 million people and is ranked #36. Las Vegas MSA has 2.322 million people and is ranked #29. On the MSA rankings, only Cincinnati (#30 - 2.2 million people), Kansas City (#31 - 2.209 million), Cleveland (#34 - 2.063 million), and Milwaukee (#40 - 1.559 million) have teams.
Another random fact: As a standalone state, the Bay Area CSA would be the 11th largest state in terms of population, between Michigan (10.034 million) and New Jersey (9.261 mm).
Nevada is the 33rd largest state by population between Iowa and Arkansas. Just as with GDP, no other state with a smaller population than Nevada has an MLB team, unless you count Kansas or the District of Columbia.

2023.05.28 17:46 paukshop Cinematography of Uma Musume: Pretty Derby - Road to the Top
Uma Musume: Pretty Derby - ROAD TO THE TOP I wasn’t planning on checking out the 4 episode special for Uma Musume, but the amazing opening caught my eye and convinced me to give it a shot. As I started watching, it was clear to me that this show’s superb animation was supported by some incredible cinematography that helped build the narrative between its leads. As a fun exercise, I wanted to try to highlight some of the directing choices and break down how Uma Musume RTTT gets away with telling so little by showing so much.
Cinematography is the presentation of the visuals in anime. The arrangement of characters in a scene, the lighting, the focus on props or backgrounds: all of these can be encapsulated by “cinematography,” and put in a ton of work for the viewing experience. There are plenty of obvious instances where a show will employ cinematography, but even if you don’t notice it immediately, these choices can have an underlying psychological effect in how you experience a scene. You can dye a scene in blue to enhance the melancholy. You can cut away from a conversation to a nearby prop to reveal a character’s mental state. These visual techniques can easily go underappreciated, and Uma Musume thankfully has some fairly overt examples that we can analyze.
(spoilers for episode 1)
Prologue Episode one opens up with the Yayoi Sho, a GII race that introduces two of our main leads:
Narita Top Road and
Admiral Vega. Much of what I want to talk about in this race will come later. But let me give a brief synopsis of the
race. Under a slight
drizzle, we start off with Avec Blaze* in the lead. Narita Top Road, eager to meet the expectations of her fans and
coach,
puts on a burst of speed to take the lead. Admiral Vega, who also feels the need to win for a yet undisclosed person, quickly follows up on her heels despite lingering behind the pack.
Though it’s a close affair between the two, Narita Top Road clutches her lead and wins the race. She cheerfully waves to the crowd while
Admiral Vega regretfully looks on. The episode immediately gives viewers exactly what they’re here for: some hype horse girls racing.
Narita Top Road: the favorite After the OP, we follow Narita Top Road in her daily school life. Her training starts at
dawn, and this is clearly a recurring affair since her coach advises her to take a break.** At school, Narita Top Road is the class president and is
admired by her classmates. Between her coach, fans, and friends, there’s plenty of people who acknowledge her drive and expect great things from her. Admiral Vega,
noticing a small
injury on Narita Top Road’s thigh, brings her outside to put a band-aid on it.
In the hallway, Narita Top Road and Admiral Vega
confess to one another declare their respective determination to win the upcoming Satsukisho. While Narita Top Road professes her excitement to race along with someone she admires, the light from the windows
is always illuminating her face. She is quite literally
glowing.
Meanwhile, Admiral Vega, who feels
hesitant about befriending her rivals, seems to have her face
framed in between
the path of these light beams. She’s not poorly lit by any means: there is just a clear difference in how our two characters are illuminated. The light is so all over Narita Top Road that she is
reflecting light. This light and dark metaphor will persist throughout the episode’s run.
We’re next treated to a brief origin story for Narita Top Road. What helps sell the flashback is the fact that the conversations with the trainer all take place at
sunset. This is a great example of the “
Against the Setting Sun” trope, where
Narita Top Road and the trainer make a goal to conquer the Twinkle Series together. Sunsets can symbolize transitioning to another phase, and here it depicts Narita Top Road’s first step to becoming a pro. We’re also treated to a parallel from an
earlier training scene, where Narita Top Road attempts to make a
sharp turn from the outside of the pack. She struggles more in this
flashback, staggering several times; there is a noticeable improvement in the
training scene that took place during the present, where Narita Top Road only staggers once. The mirroring of her first training scene in this flashback confirms Narita Top Road’s consistent practice and diligence. Narita Top Road works from sunrise to sunset, and when you consider the previous paragraph on lighting, it becomes apparent that Narita Top Road can be associated with daylight.
TM Opera O: in the middle While Satsukisho is expected to be all about
Admiral Vega vs. Narita Top Road, we switch unexpectedly to a
third character. The ordering of events here was initially a bit confusing for me: we start with a
cocky smirk prior to cutting to the eyecatch, with the upper half of the face hidden. When we come back, the first thing we see is an eye: it is TM Opera O
waking up at 2 AM, visibly distressed. Then, it cuts to a flashback where TM Opera O is
returning to running after an injury. She is all bravado and
speaks boldly of her destiny to win every race she enters. She proceeds to
win consecutive races, backing up her claims, but is also shown
visibly struggling during training. Even so, she proudly declares that her
perseverance in the face of adversity is for the audience: TM Opera O lives to win and
bask in the cheers of a crowd.
This flashback in my opinion serves to humanize TM Opera O’s larger than life personality: behind her dramatic flair and proud sense of self is someone who worked incredibly hard to get back into shape and still experiences some stress about meeting the standards she set for herself. For instance, her introduction starts with just her mouth, hiding the eyes, which are commonly used to
indicate a character’s true nature. Then the show cuts to that portion of the face (eye) that was missing in that first shot, suggesting that the TM Opera O waking up right now is closer to her true self than the more grandiose mask she wears in public. She’ll continue to play this theatrical character in the series, but her introduction serves to let the audience know early on that she’s had her own share of struggles and insecurities.
Admiral Vega: the rival Finally, we get to Admiral Vega and what she’s doing in preparation for the Satsukisho. We cut to
night time, where Admiral Vega leaves to go for a run. She and her roommate, Curren Chan, are
placed in different layers (Admiral Vega slightly blurred in the front while Curren Chan is sharp and placed behind her). This arrangement highlights the contrast in their activities: as Curren Chan is clearly winding down the day by brushing her tail, Admiral Vega is
off to train.
As she runs along a
deserted street with numerous streetlights, Admiral Vega
refuses to
step into them. In fact, she’s shown
running away from the light. The connection to darkness suggests that Admiral Vega’s motivations could be unhealthy. Or, going back to her thoughts in the hallway, Admiral Vega’s avoidance of light could connect to her dogma that she does not need friends or rivals (in this case, Narita Top Road who is the light): she just has to
win at all costs. Either way, the lack of lighting for Admiral Vega directly sets her up as the clear rival for Narita Top Road. In the very next scene,
Narita Top Road practices in broad daylight to the cheers of her classmates. Lighting and the time of day will play a pivotal role in coloring the interactions between these two characters in the rest of the series.
Final Race And now we’ve finally arrived at the Satsukisho, a premiere GI race for our trio of leads. Before it begins, Admiral Vega and Narita Top Road
meet in the tunnels leading to the racetrack.
Even though they are in the exact same location with respect to the light from the exit,
Narita Top Road’s face is illuminated while
Admiral Vega’s face continues to be shadowed. These two are definitely rivals and antitheses to one another. However, TM Opera O appears from the
top of the tunnel exit, the backlighting giving her an almost videogame-boss-like feel; these two were supposed to be focused on one another, but the more menacing opponent may be the one
standing above them.
Even if the media has tried to convince you that it’s a close affair between Narita Top Road and Admiral Vega, the cinematography makes it clear that this is
Narita Top Road’s race to lose. Despite her cheerful demeanor in training, Narita Top Road is actually very nervous. She’s the last to enter her start gate and, as her
classmates and
friends cheer her on, we get this shot of Narita Top Road seemingly
caged in by her starting gate. These expectations that she’s desperate to meet are beginning to stress her out. As we start the
race, you’ll see that many of the shots here mirror that first race, which Narita Top Road won: the
stormy clouds and slight drizzle,
the shot of her coach right before
the dramatic last minute spurt from Narita Top Road to
take the lead, and even the brief
proximity of Narita Top Road and Admiral Vega give the impression that we’ve seen this exact race before.
But unlike the race at the start of the episode,
TM Opera O arrives to steal the show! There’s an incredible panning
shot that
zooms in on
TM Opera O as she makes a break for the lead, emphasizing her approach. But then she flies past the camera, and the shot becomes an
inverted zoom away. Not only does this shot give the viewer the sense of being left in the dust like her opponents, but the upside down perspective makes it clear that this result is an upset and, dare I say it, has flipped expectations. TM Opera O
snatches victory from Narita Top Road’s hands, shattering the projection of a repeat of the first race’s results.*** She rightfully
basks in the glory she anticipated earlier in the episode.
At the end, Narita Top Road is devastated. While TM Opera O celebrates, Narita Top Road’s sweaty face is
pushed to the background: it’s a very familiar position for
Admiral Vega. The mirroring of shots throughout this final race really gives this single episode a sense of completion, and that we’ve come full circle in spite of the different results. Despite the loss, the episode ends with Narita Top Road’s refusal to give in:
a literal ray of sunshine breaks through the clouds and illuminates her as she holds her head high. Her hopes for a GI win have yet to be dashed, and she’ll have three more episodes to get her revenge. Meanwhile, Admiral Vega finished a dismal 6th, and
her posture here is even more slumped than in the first race. Maybe it’s an injury bothering her, or perhaps it’s from the increasing weight of her failed expectations physically pushing her down. We’ll have to see in episode two if she’ll be able to find the same strength to raise her head.
Conclusion As you watch the next three episodes, you’ll find the same impeccable directing throughout.
They’ll continue to mirror previous shots to help depict the evolving relationships between characters and utilize lighting to contrast
Narita Top Road and
Admiral Vega. There are so many awesome shots littered throughout the show and despite my qualms for some of the story elements, my attention was captured by both the stellar race animation and the thoughtful cinematography. Even if you’re not that interested in horse girls, consider giving this short ONA a shot.****

**There’s a fun
pair of
shots here between the coach and Narita Top Road, but I wasn’t sure what this could mean outside of (spoilers) some potential communication issues between Narita Top Road and her trainer in the later episodes.
***I really was hoping that TM Opera O being in the
12th position and winning was a cinematic choice referencing Narita Top Road winning the first race in the
12th position, but no it is an actual
coincidence.

2023.05.28 17:28 _cherrypits Opinions on boots?
New to this group. I'm in search of a new hiking/backpacking boot to hopefully use for the next few years for work. I'm currently working as a field botanist in the Central/Northern Sierra Nevada, doing surveys in a national forest with a lot of bushwhacking, scrambling over logs, crawling through manzanita, etc. I have been using Columbia Newton Ridges for the past 2 months. I only bought these for day hikes bc they're cheap and fit nicely, but thought that I might use them until they're dead before I get a studier boot for work. Did not expect them to only last 2 months after just 6 months of normal day hiking prior. A few of the treads on the bottom have broken off where you can now see the midsole through the bottom. They're still usable for recreational day hikes probably but I also wanna try to send them in to Columbia to see if they can repair them.
Right now, I'm looking at Oboz Bridger Mids and Lowa Renegade GTX Mids. I've tried these both on in store and really liked the fit and feel of both of them. I also have heard some good things about Vasque boots, but I haven't tried them on yet (planning to go back to try these tomorrow). Wanted to get opinions about these styles'/brand's durability and your experiences with them? How is the tread on sloped, rocky surfaces? I would prefer waterproof/GTX because we have to make some stream crossings for work. I'm also open to other recommendations!
For reference, I'm a size 11W with quite narrow feet.
Thanks in advance!!

2023.05.28 17:24 _cherrypits Opinions on boots?
New to this group, sorry if this isn't allowed.
2023.05.28 17:18 CYBR_ANON A mature standalone fiction written for adults
My favorite book is Boy's Life, a nostalgic coming-of-age tale. I also love Chuck Palahnuik and Charles Bukowski.
In the past, I did enjoy Haruki Murakami, Neil Gaiman, Stephen King, and China Mieville, but at the moment, I'm looking for something a little more grounded.
Please no horror, sci-fi, or crime detective
I haven't read all of these, but books that look cool are:
A Clockwork Orange
Blood Meridian
Brothers Karamazov
Demon Copperhead
East of Eden
Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas
Lonesome Dove
One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest
Picture of Dorian Gray
Shogun
The Secret History
The Stranger
Trainspotting
EDIT: male protagonist preferred

2023.05.28 16:40 Used_Delivery_2668 Should I focus on working at niteflirt or taco bell?
I've been making a little less 2k with phone sex operator work I am getting bad reviews I don't care about these guys needs like I should. And I really am working seemingly the ones I just yell at men call them cunt bitch and pussy those are the only listings I get 5 stars and I have bad reviews there too. If I turn it around I'm pretty sure I could make 4000 I need a set schedule regular group messaging and knowledge on all the fetishes not a behavior of not caring and hanging up on people etc....
So I used to work at taco Bell I got treated like really badly. My mom worked there and said they would talk about me behind my back and were like high school kids. These people were just hostile. And it got worse around the holidays. Which is why I ended up quitting. Okay so at first like I worked part-time. And I noticed there were problems but I only work there like maybe three days a week. So I didn't care. Now the amount of money that I made was like much less than phone sex operating. I make like 2000 not giving a darn about what the men want or anything. I just keep the phone on the line most of the day. I should make about 4 to 500 a week. At the old Taco bell. I made like a thousand. a month. So obviously I only make like half the amount I make and phone sex operating and I feel like phone sucks operating is more of a career for me. Considering if I cared a little bit more I could probably make like 5,000 a month. So I mean I could live very comfortably. I mean plenty of people have careers and make $60,000 a year. And if you think of it phone sex operating it's kind of like that. Because the average earner on night flirt is specifically 47,000 a year. If I was to care a little bit more about my calls because it would last longer my calls usually are one or two three four minutes. On a 70 a minute call. I just get a lot of callers because it's only 70 cents a minute. And you know the men have a bit of that understanding. That I may not care enough about their needs. But they kind of are okay with it I think to some extent some of my regulars. Because it's such a cheap call.
So it does work out. But as you can tell I'm only making 2,000 a month. I could do a little bit better get good reviews instead of like how I am right now I get like five stars on my night flirt listings only on the listings I'm literally insulting people basically so like if I'm telling them they're pathetic or calling them the b word the c word things like that. Then I will make a good results good listings good reviews. I have success there. Because I do very well insulting them. And I do very well insulting them because I don't I guess like my own clients. Which is fine. Because I mean like I never meet them in person they're just people on the
phone doesn't hurt anything I make even though I really am not putting any effort in my job as a phone sex operator at night flirt. But there are some things here. That are kind of and some of the things that are kind of beneficial are specifically things like with taco bell. That I am able to like get transportation. Into vegas. Things like that. I could get my own place. But I kind of feel like I could just move to Vegas and get a place there with my phone sex operating job. Cuz I do make about like 2,000 a month. I mean like it doesn't hurt for me to do that just save up. So that's why I'm like I'm not sure if I want to go back. Because the manager there general manager just said I got hired. At Taco bell but I don't know if I want to do it again. Because like I said it was a lot of hostility they treated me like crap it was terrible. And I get less money. And it's hard to work.
For one at Taco Bell I remember during the holidays the people who work there specifically were like really aggressive to each other. Like they would yell at customers curse customers out. Curs each other out. Like this happened all in one day at one time. And where it went downhill for me because during Christmas it didn't actually become a problem I just went in like cleaned the bathroom. I didn't enguge in that behavior. I was the only one who wasn't cursing anyone out actually. And the whole store. But on New Year's Day it was really hectic. And then what happened in that situation was specifically the two co-workers tried to make it more stressful to work. Basically so they were getting aggressive and trying to basically attack me for the fact that they kept the drive-through line so long. Because I had nothing to do with that. I was doing the front at the time. But then they started blaming me for the backup in the Drive-Thru when I wasn't even working the drive-thru. And it had accumulated so much that two problems occurred at once.
One Brandon got put on break even though he was scheduled later than me and had a history of not working when he was there we would sit in the booths and look at his phone. He got away with a lot even calling black people the n word while at work and claiming he was white.... (He's not white he's latino he's just racist and ashamed of his race he won't admit he's Latino despite having a name godinez) He had the nerve to be complaining and disrespecting me for not being able to do two things at once being at cash register and drive thru telling the customers I wasn't good at my job and complaining about me about my job when the reason drive thru was backed up was because he was given a break and I was tired out. So what ended up happening in that situation was I ended up yelling at the general manager. Not because I was angry at the general manager. What was really occurring in that situation was I was upset that the other person had been talking crap about me to the customers. While having had taken his break. And mess everything up. And make me not have to take a break. So for those reasons I was upset at that situation not particularly at the general manager.
So after that point. That all that week things went downhill from there. And I ended up quitting on Friday just real quick. Oh the reason I quit like that. Was because on FridayI just felt like I didn't need to put up with all the crap I had been putting up with. Added to the fact that like because my mom worked there and she was saying that they were just talking crap about me like that. Now I knew like how they actually felt about me. And I didn't like it. Like usually when I work a job where someone doesn't like me. I don't care. Because I don't get to hear what they're saying behind that. Right but in this case I could. And then it made everything very uncomfortable in working with them. So that's why I just kind of felt like quitting was better. And I did feel like it was a distraction to working my other job as a phone sex operator.
The reason I feel that way is because I spent a lot less hours working that type of job. Because I would tire myself out. Working the other job one and not just that. It was during the weekend which is where I mainly make my money. And I also realize I actually have long sleeper syndrome. Which means that I really function better at 10 hours or more of sleep. So if I were to have a job like Taco Bell and phone sex that would be problematic. Because I don't think I would have enough time to work both jobs.
And when I think of the longevity of the two jobs. I kind of feel like phone sex operator is a longer lasting job. Obviously I could do that until I'm like maybe like 80 if I wanted to. And it makes like way more money. Like I said without caring about what these people like what are their needs or whatever I make like $2,000 a month. So if I was to actually invest in how to do this right. I would probably make a lot more like if you looked at my listings it's only like one sentence. I really don't care when I make my listings. I really don't care when I'm on the phone. All I do is just make sure that I'm on the phone or have it on where someone can call me for like at least 14 to 16 hours a day. And it makes me a good amount of money where I can actually work and provide for myself. And not really even have to go out of my way. To make money. So I don't have to work hard I don't have to go anywhere to work. These are the benefits. But then there are some benefits to getting a job like Taco Bell like for example. I don't want to disclose to like snap or food benefits that I work as a telephone operator. And I don't have to. As long as I work at Taco Bell I can always put them as the place. That means I get benefits. And don't have to pay for my own food.
Also another aspect to this is specifically like I said because it went downhill after that point. And the way I left. Was generally very I guess negative against the general manager. Like for example my mother hypothesizes that he is angry at me and trying to get back at me. Though he did send me a message saying I was hired. So I don't know. The way I left some people thought that I cursed everybody out and left. That's not what happened.
What actually happened was I specifically posted a video to the work forum that we were on we had to work for them that we all messaged each other in. Basically it was like a crew app. The music video I linked had a curse word in it. And also I started talking about what I did at my job night flirt. And the reason I did that was because I had talked to one person after I talked to two people about what I did at night flirt there. Now one of the people I talked to was a manager about it. Like I would regularly tell that person well I think one time I told her. That I would call like men the b word and things like that. And that the drive-thru phone basically would make me want to respond basically the way I respond when I do night flirt. So anyway the video had the title my give a damn's busted Jodie Messina. And it wasn't just that. But I specifically like I said to that I made like $2,000 a month basically telling men to show things up there ass because the major part of my job is actually dominatrix work I guess you could say when it comes to phone sex work. Because I specifically am more focused on disrespecting people and then sometimes I get those other guys who they like disrespect but they like guys too they like pegging and things like that. So that's where I make my money.
Anyway the system bleeped it out as if I cursed.Or said something along the lines of offensive language. But that was not what I was trying to convey I wasn't cursing anyone out. I was just saying I was done.
The next day I texted the general manager. Just to make sure they understood all was over with. Pretty much the same message saying my give damn busted and I was done.
So I quit. And then I at one point tried to apply. And then like it took 4 months or so it took a long period and then he finally was like he was saying that I was hired. So I still haven't responded back. I just kind of saw the text and moved along. I don't know should I say something? If I say something what should I say.? Should I say I'm done interested? Should I say I'm interested. To me it seemed like he gave that well maybe he was drunk? Cuz I mean the spelling is kind of off. So that's another thing to consider.
Also I feel like it could be a distraction from my phone sex operating work. Because I do have a situation where it last time when I worked there. My phone sucks operating work went down to 200 a month. Because I did not have it on all day like I should have. I was too tired to work. I just wasn't putting in effort. Like I should have.
I kind of do feel bad. Because I have been asking for the job for about a couple months. So I kind of feel bad now to say that I don't want the job. Because I've been asking for it this long. And I kind of feel bad cuz it's like I feel bad that I left so early. When usually I don't leave for the reasons I left. It was just like I said knowing that these people did not like me. And we're very negative. And I did not like but what they were saying behind my back. When you know I didn't have to know about that. If I would not have been told by my mom I'd have never know and probably still work there now. Which is why I feel it's super hostile to try to work there again. But in this town it's probably the only place I'll get a chance to work at. So what do you think I should do?
