My puppy (Nomy) is currently six months old and has been with us for five months. He was a stray puppy. My mum and my sister wanted him first. After a month in, they realised they don’t love dogs so they were going to dump him back in the woods.
I didn’t want a dog and I didn’t even like dogs that much. I pitied Nomy so I told them I would keep him. It was just pity at first but soon I bonded with him and fell in love with this puppy.
My dad has been kicking Nomy really hard in his face since day 1. He hates Nomy. He also hits Nomy with baseball bat and pours water on my Nomy’s face. I argued with him many times over this. During our last argument, he promised not to hit Nomy again.
Until a week ago, I started noticing wounds on Nomy’s. Mainly on face. He’s got fresh wounds on both his eyelids, bleeding and also on his hands. I suspected my dad was abusing him. So I started to stay with Nomy whenever dad is home. Today I witnessed him kicking Nomy’s face really hard and Nomy was wagging his tail happy to see him. It broke my heart and also confirmed that wounds on Nomy’s face were caused by my dad.
I feel like shit because I didn’t say a word when my dad kicked him. The last time I did my dad slapped me many times. He told me I can report him, he’s rich so nothing will ever happen to him. He said, no one dares because he has money.
During these five months, my mom has been persuading me to rehome Nomy. I love him so much so I refused. Now I see that I should’ve rehomed him long ago. I should’ve known that my evil father will never changed. I put Nomy through five months of hell.
Nomy is in my room sleeping now and I look at his face with wounds, I just feel…so bad

I have realized my preferences, ideas of fun, and ideas for improvement differ from most, on the topic of Vr and what I want "out of the experience". My first gaming system was a Sega genesis, got that when i was around 5 years old. With sonic 2. Good old days... So naturally I came into gaming before 3d really even made it to consols, I remember once it did, (playstation) , and then Nintendo 64.. those were amazing times, and the way games were made and structured (level design, music, story, artistic direction) IN MY OPINION, was more creative, fun, and replayable. Of course I'm not discounting the greats like halo, etc etc. But there is some thing about the NON super realistic graphics that has a place in my heart.
So as to not drag this on TOO far about retro gaming, lets connect the two (retro gaming and VR)
I find the hyper realism in so many games, and the cookie cutter setup of game play and story and etc, is making gaming boring.
I'm afraid we may be going that same route with VR. See, my foray into vr was not inspired by ready player one. I actually have never seen the movie. But it seems most large vr content creators like to reference the movie and their hopes to be able to "full dive". Where as I'm enjoying this stage of vr. I do wish there were more games and more creative content, but I feel we are so focused on making the tech better, or making the graphics look better, we are enjoying what we have as much, or being as creative with it.
DONT GET ME WRONG, I'm not saying I don't want that [full dive] available, or that it shouldn't be. But, I'm not really into replacing reality with vr. I don't want to sound pretentious about that, but it's just... not my thing.
And so, games being hyper realistic in vr doesn't really excite me, or the whole , "physics based game play for immersion" Is not the pennacle of vr gaming for me. It is cool some times. But I find it makes melee combat feel silly.
I just want good games with fun game play mechanics, and that aren't all cookie cutter, or take 15 years to develop bc they look like real life, but the game play is bland and predictable.
Vr has so much potential, we all say that and mean it. But I think maybe our definitions of potential may vary. I don't think any of us are wrong.
And I'm not saying I wouldn't want to "full dive" sky dive. Or some thing like that.
But I am saying, I'm not clocking every new vr development hoping that it gets me closer to (full dive)
I'll try to wrap this up, I also prefer my rift cv1, over my quest 2 for PC vr.
There is some thing about the quest 2 I just can't put my finger on... that doesn't hit the spot in terms of feeling as good as my cv1. Idk if it's field of view, or maybe I can get my IPD Perfect with the cv1 but not Q2, or compression from airlink/link cable... idk. But I sincerely hope for more PC vr headsets that are affordable. I don't really care much about pixel density as much as I care about field of view and outside in tracking.
This is getting long I suck at expressing my thoughts And I hope I don't come off as a butthole or opinionated. I want all of us with our different preferences to have options. I want all of us to win!

I'm in need of an Windows wizard skilled in the black art of certificates.
Statement of the Problem: An invalid (self-signed) CA certificate which the browser (Chrome) says it's using, can't be found by standard Windows tools so it can be removed. If you have skills in this area and are willing to give me a few minutes of your time and, if you can, your expertise -- read on.
Background: I am building out a small proof-of-concept self-hosted environment in Docker on Windows 10 (yeah, I know...) so I can prove to myself that I know what I'm doing with Docker before I invest in more suitable hardware. The reason I'm posting here (instead of selfhosted) is that there is no issue with the containers in that they run and are are reachable over HTTP, but not over HTTPS despite that SSL certificates have been issued by Let's Encrypt using NGINX Proxy Manager. I've identified a bogus CA certificate present on the box because it is self-signed by "Linuxserver.io". It appears that this is being presented when I connect to that Docker service over SSL instead of the one from Let's Encrypt (validity of certificate ensured through a https://crt.sh lookup), and therefore the connection fails.
Details of Identified Certificate: I deployed the 'grocy' Docker container and then hit localhost on the host port of 8443. The connection is made but of course the browser (Chrome) reports 'Not Secure' as the 'Issued To' and 'Issued By' are both 'Linuxserver.io' for "Organization" as shown in https://imgur.com/a/HRJJwsC. The 'Details' tab identifies the serial number as "3E:ED:D6:ED:3D:27:47:36:B3:A4:02:70:FB:13:66:A8:48:75:7B:96" as identified in https://imgur.com/a/tuk4ZpX .
Troubleshooting: At this point, armed with the 'Issuer' Linuxserver.io and 'Serial Number' 3EEDD6ED3D274736B3A40270FB1366A848757B96, I thought the process would be straight-forward. Alas, clearly the browser knows there's a certificate but Windows can't find a certificate with that issuer or serial number.

So, the question is how do I delete an existing certificate that the browser says it's using, but Windows can't find. Any Windows sysadmins out there that can solve this issue, suggest additional troubleshooting steps or spot my stupidity?

I (28f) have a narc grandma who was my actual best friend for years and years. I cannot emphasize how close we were. We went shopping, went to movies, went to restaurants, saw plays, cooked together, played cards, and she taught me how to read tarot and make coffee, both of which I do for a living now.
But she’s an alcoholic. She drinks at least a bottle of wine per night, even though she is a type 2 diabetic—she has switched doctors because they told her to stop drinking. And while I never had a physical dependency on alcohol, I certainly had a drinking problem when we were close (sober 3 years now). We both have BPD, but she doesn’t believe the diagnosis is accurate, while I take a high dose of mood stabilizers to manage mine.
Which brings us to the reason I went NC. I went on antidepressants, mood stabilizers, and I finally got diagnosed and medicated for ADHD at age 25. My grandma is STAUNCHLY against medication, even her diabetes meds (she takes them, but “resents the fact that she is dependent on a medication” at all.
This all happened just a few weeks after I gave up alcohol. As the meds kicked in, I started setting boundaries and saying things like “you’re hurting my feelings, please stop”, when her “teasing” went too far (which it often did). Being asked to stop was received with anger and defensiveness, and we grew pretty distant as a result, even though I lived with her at the time.
The last conversation we had before I went NC was a big fight, and she made a comment about me going on medication. I said something to the effect of “can’t you see that I’m happy now, and that I finally like myself?” And she responded with “well I don’t like you like this. You talk back to me too much.”
This really crushed me. She doesn’t know this, but at the time I went on meds, I actively had a plan for ending my life. The only thing holding me back was not wanting her to be traumatized by finding me.
She later went on to write a letter to my psychiatrist (I have no idea how she got her contact info btw), telling her that my meds gave me a “rage problem” and encouraging her to take me off of them. My psychiatrist immediately saw this as a red flag and directly asked me if she was one of the narcissistic family members I’d mentioned. That is what made me send her a “you crossed the line, and I can’t talk to you anymore, I feel unsafe having you in my life and I feel betrayed by someone I thought I could trust” etc. message, and hit “block”.
Now she’s moving out of the house she’s owned since the 1970s. I have a lot of things in her attic storage that I’m just flat-out not ok with losing, like gifts from my late father and mementos from stages in my life that I want to keep for the memories associated. My sister (24f) told me that if I want that stuff back, I better not put it off too long.
I’ve had an anxiety stomachache since she told me. I have no idea how to approach her. I gave her an opportunity to apologize two years ago, and her apology was “I’m sorry for interfering with your life.” She then blatantly refused to actually address any of the issues I wanted to discuss. She also has called me the wrong name (I’m cis, but I just hate my birth name and changed it years ago) via birthday/Christmas cards delivered through my teenage cousin, who, apparently, had tried to tell her that it’s really rude to call me by my old name, but to no avail. OH, ALSO she frequently deadnames my trans relative when he’s not around, which started shortly before the above-described events, as he came out to her a little later than the rest of us.
Wtf do I do. I have no idea what it’s gonna be like, if she’ll be angry or act victimized by my NC, or possibly just treat me with a Customer Service voice and personality—and I’m honestly not sure which would hurt most. We were so tight, I feel like I will cry as soon as I see her. I also know that she makes me feel terrible about myself, disrespects my boundaries, and blatantly told me that she liked me better when I was depressed. Idk what to do and I’m stressing. Any advice appreciated, including bad advice as a jumping-off point.

So, set the scene, i'm out doing some roc mining ( which is in a horrible state at the moment ) and i get bored fighting the extraction laser, so i get in my corsair and head up to orbit. I'm checking out missions and i see the "money from nothing" mission. I have no idea what this mission is as it's the first time seeing it, so i take the mission for a small fee and begin heading there. It looks like a derelict hammerhead is cut in half on the ground. There are numerous bodies all lieing around the place. Multiple wrecks are on fire. I notice that i've just left comms range, too. So any crimes committed here won't be reported to the UEE.
What the hell am i walking into here? I had no idea this was a PVP mission.
So i shoot off 5km from the site and disembark in my roc, headed to the crash site. I get about 1.5km out and exit the roc. As i approach the site, my heart is pounding. I have to fight against my flight or fight instinct constantly. I still don't realise this is a PVP mission. I get about 500m away from the crash site when i come under fire. 1 guy is on the roof of the hammerhead with a sniper rifle, another is about 100m away from me and the other is close to him. Thankfully, they've jumped the gun in firing at me, and i have lots of different routes i can take. I take out my 2nd rifle, a sniper rifle, i pop my head out and pop goes the sniper on the roof. At this point, one of the guys on the ground peals off to go rez his mate. I push and manage to take out guy number 2. The other one panics and runs across open ground.
Number 3 is dispatched in short order. Across the compound, there's a cutty red. I bet they're using that to respawn. I full sprint to the cutlass to find the sniper rearming, i quickly gun him down and gun down number 2 as he's respawning. I hop in the pilot seat, arm the self destruct, gun down number 3 as he's respawning and get to a safe distance in time to watch the fireworks.
A great experience, but it's not over. The mission requires that you go into the hammerhead and find a console to activate, this begins accruing UEC. The console is at a height to the ground and you have to climb up to it. This becomes important later. The full payout is 150k, i didn't know this at the time, but i head in and find the console. I activate it and it begins ticking up. I'm nervous and twitchy, but i sit myself in a corner and take up a defensive posture. When out of the corner of my eye, i notice the lights of a ship. They're back. It's a cutlass red, touching down about 1km away. I zoom in and watch the cutlass land and 2 bodies exit. The cutlass takes off and i can see the two guys zipping towards where they died. I take out my sniper rifle and start taking pot shots at one of them. They return fire and the cutlass begins to strafe my position. I don't have anything to deal with the cutlass so i move back into the destroyed hammerhead. I can hear the two guys moving around below me.
I'm in a bind here. The console is slowly ticking up and i want that cash. I could bail, try to run back to my roc and make it to my corsair, come back and blow the crap out of the cutlass, but that's a risk. If the cutlass spots me, i'm defenseless against it. The footsteps get closer down below. I can hear them shuffling. Both sides. There's 3 ingress points, i can't cover them all. There's a small room off to the side of the main hallway. I very carefully and quietly move in there. I raise my gun, point it at the doorway, and i wait. And i wait. 20 minutes go by. I can hear them. They're waiting for me to make a move. I don't so much as budge an inch. Eventually, they either lose patience, get bored, or think i've logged off. One of them mantles up to the level im on, and begins crouch walking down the long hallway. I train my crosshair on the door. I see his gun slowly emerge into view and then a moment of inspiration hits. I don't fire. I let him pass. I don't so much as breathe as he walks right by me, not looking in my direction. He think's i'm not here.
He moves into the main area with the console, and i can hear him moving around. He checks the corners and i can hear his mate shuffling up as well. His mate runs right by my doorway, i immediately spring the trap. I run to the corner, get a bead on the guy in the main room and unload onto him. number 2 swings towards me and i unload into him. He gets a few shots into me but i down him first. I'm heavily bleeding, out of ammo and the cutlass impotently starts unloading his lasers into the structure of the ship. I take out my medgun and heal myself but i've an injury. My guy is lungshot and wheezing heavily. Vision is slightly blurry. Not idea but i've managed to deal with the 2 guys on the ground.
Fortune smiles on me, one of them was carrying a railgun. I strip the railgun and ammo and dump my sniper rifle. I take the railgun, position myself near a doorway and fully charge it. I pop out and fire directly at the cutlass. It takes a direct hit to the shields. The driver panics, tries to swing around and clips his engine on a tree, the engine explodes and the cutlass spins out of control into the ground and explodes. I obviously don't look at the explosion.
I return to the console, hit the button and wait for the payout. I loot the bodies of anything useful and head back to my roc.
This is one of the best experiences i've ever had in any game. I played early dayz mod and it never even came close to this in terms of adrenaline. I cannot wait for this game to release, i will play nothing else.

BL: We have an 8 year old daughter and are soon welcoming our 2nd. My wife and I are at an impasse on what to do with the lego.
The facts:
1) We have a pretty sizable collection that takes up a good amount of space. My wife and I both like to build and we over indulged a bit over the years.
2) Our daughter isn’t much into building but loved to roleplay/tell stories, etc. Example: we have the Lion Knights Castle; my wife and I built it and included her, but she really had no interest in the building. However, she will sit down and play/modify with it daily.
3) Much of the collection is lego friends / Disney sets with a few City, Castle, HP, SW, and a couple vintage sets I grabbed off eBay. We have most of the boxes. It’s a point of contention.
4) My wife suggests we separate out some of the sets, box em up, and sell them. There are certainly sets that didn’t hit or have just been in pieces for years. I’m opposed to this, and would like to keep every scrap but I can see the logic.
5) With another on the way, but our 8 year old not quite out of Lego prime age, I want to find a way to put them in her room. However, that’s challenging as there isn’t a TON of space in there (probably a couple akro-mils) and our main play area has been down in the family room. That’ll be choke city in about 6 months…so they have to move.
6) Another option is to separate out a good number of them, box them up and set them aside to re-open in 4 - 7years. This would enable us to keep a smaller portion of them in the 8 year olds room.

With this week being Nuke Week (AKA Wild Card Week), I want to do something special here... and oh, boy. Do I have something special cooking here. This post might be a little esoteric since it does talk about the National Arena League, which is the third tier among the indoor football leagues out there (The IFL is top tier and CIF - Champions Indoor Football - is slightly ahead of them). But, this post about the Albany Empire - back-to-back NAL Champions and the final champion of the Arena League 2.0, and their new owner, Antonio Brown. His father, Arena League Hall of Fame legend 'Touchdown' Eddie Brown, is also here as the GM of the Empire. How this season has gone so far is the stuff of nightmares... and (hopefully) shitposting legends.
Let's begin on this timeline...
March 3rd - An announcement is made that Antonio Brown would join the Albany Empire as part owner and his father, 'Touchdown' Eddie Brown, would become the VP of Football Operations. Eddie is a Arena League legend, named to the list of the Top 20 players in Arena Football history in 2006. His name is synonymous with the Albany area - he helped lead the Firebirds (remember them?) to an Arenabowl victory. Local legends helping run the biggest powerhouse in the NAL? Oh, this is too good to be real...
April 6th - AB says he wants to move the team to Saratoga... must want to bet on the ponies or something. No big deal, I guess... except that the coach, Tom Menas, was ran out of town for some unknown reason. The offensive coordinator, Damon Ware, takes over. This will not be the last time you hear of Menas, trust me.
April 16th - Right before the regular season begins, the controversy begins. AB says he's the sole owner of the Empire, but one of the other owners, Mike Kwarta, said otherwise. He and AB each own 47.5% of the team while a minority owner owns the remaining 5%. AB says he paid $1.5 million in workers' comp insurance while Kwarta said "Wait a second... your math is way off, man. I've paid about half that for workers' comp insurance." While all of this going on, the Empire opened their regular season (they had a bye week in Week 1) with a dominating victory over the Orlando Predators (remember them??).
April 19th - Things are going to get complicated pretty quickly, so hang on tight and keep your arms and legs inside the roller coaster at all times. Let's begin... deep breath ...AB is now the sole majority owner of the Empire, buying the 47.5% share that Mike Kwarta owned for a $1 (Cue the guy from the original Robocop who would buy that for a dollar). This sounds all great and dandy... but, there's more to this then meets the eye.
May 1st - A day after a tough loss to the Carolina Cobras, shit hits the fan: The players haven't been paid since April 21st and the coach, who verified that, was also sent packing. Among the players not getting paid were WR Darius Prince, last season's league MVP and (at that time) league leader in TD catches at 10; QB Sam Castronova, who (at that time) lead the league with 241 passing yards per game; and defensive captains Brandon Sesay, Dwayne Hollis and Nick Haag. All of them (along with another player) were suspended due to an incident after the Carolina game - aggravated harassment. As for the payment issue? Well, that came from issues stemming from the processor after Kwarta and most of the front office left after that $1 deal to give AB majority ownership.
May 2nd - Guess who's back? Back again? Guess who's back? Back again?? Yep, it's Tom Menas - the coach who was given the boot before the season began - makes his return to try and turn around the 1-2 Empire in their quest for a three-peat.
May 3rd - Remember when I said there was more then meets the eye with the AB deal? Oh, this is where things get fun. Turns out he has nothing to do with the team - the team is under the control of the Antonio El-Allah Express Trust Enterprise, which is the domestic arm of the Antonio El-Allah Express Trust. Antonio El-Allah, a foreign national, is the trustee of this organization. A letter was sent to the Times-Union that reads:

“I Brown, Antonio Tavaris a foreign national but not a citizen of the United States at birth, am writing to you regarding recent reports that have been circulating in the media regarding my supposed ownership of the Albany Empire team," the letter begins. "I want to make it very clear that I am not the owner of this team, and any claims to the contrary are completely false."

Antonio Tavaris Brown is the full name of AB, but the whole foreign national thing? Yeah, that's false. Pro Football Resource mentions he was born in Miami to American parents and the rule they cited only applies under certain circumstances, all of which involve American Samoa and some place called Swains Island, which I've never heard of until now. And that trust? It's connected to another company, Big Boomin Investment Co. LLC, out of freaking DUBAI! This is something you see with real estate investments, not ownership of a professional football team. There must be some big ass skeletons in this closet.
While the ownership issues are going on, the team preps for their game with the West Texas Warbirds, one of two new members in the NAL this season. They're doing this without Damon Ware, who left the team to go to Orlando, and their QB Sam Castronova. He was one of the eight suspended players from that bus incident and left the team for Jacksonville (Keep an eye on this end, it'll be a big part of what's coming). Despite all this, Albany came close to winning but lost 41-38.
May 10th - Oh, there were minority owners as well. Let's meet the von Schillers, Charlotte and Steve. This couple were season ticket owners before they met up with Mike Kwarta and bought 5% of the team as a way to help grow the franchise's presence in the Capital Region. Since AB bought out Kwarta's share, it's been hell for the couple. They've been very negative to them and the von Schiller's do have a reason to question AB's motives: They wanted to make the best of having AB being part owner, and were hoping he would be a decent person (Oh, you poor naive souls...) and go from there. Well, it's gone downhill from here.
May 17th - In a move that even Narcissus would think was too much, AB plans to get on the field for their next home against the other newbie of the NAL, the Fayetteville (North Carolina) Mustangs. The rules states that there's nothing against a owner who wants to play... so, yeah. Go for it.
May 20th - Karma came in swiftly as Sam Castronova carved up his former team mates as he scored 6 touchdowns to lead Jacksonville to a 79-34 routing of Albany. This ass kicking was so bad that Menas was shit canned a 2nd time in a season. He's replaced by a high school coach in Pete Porcelli, who played in Albany back in the days of the original Arena League.
May 23rd - Jonathan Bane, a recent addition to the team who was over-matched against Jacksonville the week before, leaves the team thanks in large part to the lack of structure, communication and professionalism on the team (No... the hell you say)
May 27th - AB does suit up... in the Barney Stinson style of suiting up. Yes, he doesn't play at all as the Empire fall to the expansion Mustangs 49-27. The Empire, back-to-back NAL Champions, are now 1-5 on the season. Things cannot get any worst, can they? Oh, yes they can!
May 29th - The debut for Porcelli was also his last game as an associate of AB basically told him that he was demoted to line coach. Porcelli told him to eat a bag of dicks and left the team. AB caught wind of this and let that associate know in simple terms that he's not supposed to do that.
June 1st - Man #4, come on down! You've been selected to play 'Who wants to coach this shit show?' with your host, AB! Man #4 is Terry Foster, the defensive coordinator for the Iowa Barnstomers (remember them???) in the IFL. If his defensive coordinator skills are anything (dead last in scoring defense, dead last in rushing defense, dead last in passing efficiency defense and dead last in overall defense), then Albany is bound to be in a world of pure hurt.
Friday (Yes, this recent Friday) - AB just can't stop doing stupid shit. He gets tossed from the Holiday Inn the team is staying at over loud music and the sweet, sweet stink of weed. He sent a video to the Times-Union saying that he got kicked out of the Holiday Inn Marriott (surefire sign of being high on that wacky tobaccy, if you ask me) and saying that he was trespassing, even though he's been there for 60 days. He then sent a longer text talking about how he was friendly with the owner of said Holiday Inn and thanks to a “mutual love for the city and growing business.” (read: I'm rich, please give me free shit), the owner allowed AB and the Empire to stay at the hotel. Well, things have gotten sour with the hotel as he claims that he was "bombarded" by the hotel staff and the police without any warning, conversation or professionalism (Ha... this clown complaining about a lack of professionalism... Ha). To add more into this brewing putrid pot of shit, one of AB's associates sent a text to the Times-Union saying that "our attorneys will be reaching out soon to … the Times Union for misleading and false advertisement. Just FYI.” Oh, by the way... this is all going on during their bye week.

I recently began frequenting duel servers to better myself. While fighting I try and counter every attack I can to maintain stamina, but I’m having trouble reading feints and I always fall for them. How do you guys read feints? Do you just not block until you’re about to get hit? Because when I’ve down that most of my counters don’t succeed and turn to ripostes, or I just get hit. Or do you hold block until a feints been made? I’ve found that drains a lot more stamina than it saves.

Since September, he has racked up 54 hits and ranked first overall with a monthly batting average of 0.406 (Aaron Judge .380, second with 100 or more at bats). Doubts about Bisset disappeared. Bisset's hitting is at the highest level in the league. It was the same with Bisset. He was confident that his hitting would work in the major leagues as well. "To be honest, last year I realized I was a really good hitter," Bisset said in an interview looking back on last season.

Bisset's confidence is showing through his performance this year. Bisset has recorded 83 hits as of yesterday, ranking first in the most hits in the major leagues. In his last two seasons, he was trailed by Trey Turner (195 hits) in 2021 and Freddie Freeman (199 hits) in 2022, the most hits in the National League. Not only that, but Bisset is running at the top of the league with a batting average of .335. His home run pace is also very good at 12.

Bisset has evolved. He made up for his weaknesses and strengthened his strengths, taking off as a higher hitter. This year, Bisset lowered his miss rate from 23% last year to 18.8%. By coping with sweepers and curveballs that had a high miss rate last year, the number of missed swings decreased and the number of balls hit increased. If he had hit the bat blindly before, he is now throwing the bat at the ball he can hit.

Bisset always seemed dangerous in his excessive aggression. His rush to hit every ball could get serious when his hitting slump came. But this year, he has become more cautious at bat. The percentage of swings at the first pitch rose from 47.1% last year to 38.2% this year.

In fact, Bisset had a very good batting average of 0.379 for the first pitch last year. His first pitch batting average was second only to Corey Seager's 137 at bats (125), much higher than Seager's first pitch batting average of 0.256. However, everyone now knew that Bisset liked the first ball. When a pitcher could have used this tendency to reverse, Bisset blocked this tactic beforehand. This was because he had the freedom to hit well even if he missed the first pitch. In fact, Bisset's batting average was 0.296 last year when he passed the first pitch, but this year he raised this score to 0.338.

This year, Bisset has few walks. Picking out the ball is not the job of getting a walk. He's just sorting out the ball he's trying to hit. This year, the walk rate per at-bat is around 5%, but no one is worried about Bisset's low walks anymore. While filtering out bad balls, the strikeout rate per at-bat dropped from 22.2% last year to 14.5% this year as a positive. The fact that the strikeout rate was rather low even after reducing the swing of the first ball shows how excellent Bisset's contact ability is.

This year, Bisset does not leg kick after two strikes. He plans to focus on accuracy over power. As a result, Bisset's two-strike batting average was 0.168 last year, but it improved to .244 this year. These big and small changes made Bisset a more complete hitter.

Bisset didn't change all that. He still picks 'prepared', 'aggressive' and 'fearless' as the three words that best describe his hitting. He found a way to maximize his individuality while maintaining his own identity.

Bisset had to stand on the comparison line from the start because of a similar background. At the beginning of his debut, he said that he was conscious of special circumstances. But now he is relieved of all burdens. He knows that Guerrero Jr. and Vizio are not rivals to be overcome, but colleagues to go together. And Bisset, who became one of the best hitters in the league, has grown into a leader who should lead his teammates in front of him.
