Legendary and Mythical Pokémon in the Pokémon world can be compared to cryptids, kaiju, and gods, as they often embody natural elements or moral concepts. These extraordinary creatures are unique, with only one of each species (with a few exceptions). I tried putting together a connecting family tree of the Legendary Pokémon. It’s a bit messy but I tried:

And then there’s the Ultra Beasts, extradimensional pokemon from Ultra Space, a dimension connected to the Distortion World of which Giratina rules. Considered sub-legendary, in spite of there being more than one of each. Known examples include: Nihilego, Buzzwole, Pheromosa, Xurkitree, Celesteela, Kartana, Guzzlord, Poipole, Naganadel, Stakataka, Blacephalon, and the Unowns.
The 18 different Pokémon types were created based on natural and magical elements.

Certain Pokémon showcase gender-specific evolutions, displaying distinct physical characteristics reminiscent of sexual dimorphism. While some Pokémon of the same species may differ in coloration based on gender, many others undergo significant transformations, evolving into entirely different species in their adult forms. Moreover, there are Pokémon that belong to single-gender species. The reproductive mechanisms of single-gender Pokémon populations can spark some questions. While hermaphroditic animals reproduce through broadcast spawning or regenerative budding, it is plausible that these Pokémon engage in parthenogenesis. This process, observed in real-life all-female species such as the whiptail lizard, involves reproduction with only female organs and the ability for eggs to hatch without fertilization, resembling cloning in nature. Mewtwo, in particular, was brought into existence through genetic duplication and human-Pokémon hybridization involving Mew.
The presence of humans in the Pokémon world gives rise to intriguing questions regarding their evolutionary origins. While humans on Earth evolved from primates, there are Pokémon that exhibit remarkable humanoid traits, bridging the gap between animal and human life. It is conceivable that the first humans in this world arose through convergent evolution between these humanoid Pokémon species.

Many have often wondered what it's like inside a Pokéball. How do larger Pokémon fit into this small contraption? When a Pokéball hits a Pokémon, as long as it is not deflected, it opens, and the Pokémon is engulfed in a beam of energy. This energy causes the Pokémon to shrink and be enclosed within the ball. It's actually quite advanced technology if you think about it. But how does it really work? The ball could tap into the Pokémon's internal energy, which grants them their powers, and manipulate their size to store them. There are various types of Pokéballs with different energy concentrations, making it easier to catch tougher creatures. But what is it like for a Pokémon inside the ball? Is it cramped? Unlikely, as that would be dangerously impossible and highly unethical. However, producer Junichi Masuda confirmed that it's actually quite comfortable, almost like a luxury hotel suite. It could be hypothesized that the inside of the ball creates a virtual reality experience, artificially generated to provide the perfect environment for each species. When summoned, the Pokémon grows back to its full size from the orb.

The Pokémon world shares striking similarities with Earth, featuring locations that resemble real-world counterparts. The first nine regions, based on locations in Japan, the USA, France, the UK, and Spain, respectively, can be geographically aligned with their real-world counterparts while possessing unique names, civilizations, and biodiversity. Viewing the Pokémon world as an alternate version of Earth is a more plausible concept than my previous theory suggesting it to be a replication created by extraterrestrial scientists, reminiscent of Marvel's High Evolutionary.

Lastly, the enigmatic nature of Cubone's story adds an intriguing layer to its existence. Cubone is said to wear the skull of its deceased mother, Marowak. Considering that there are multiple Cubone in the world, it raises the question of whether every Cubone has lost its mother. One possible explanation could be that shortly after an adult female Marowak gives birth, she tragically passes away, leaving the baby Cubone orphaned. This life cycle is reminiscent of that observed in certain species, such as octopuses. Furthermore, an all-but-confirmed theory suggests a connection between Cubone, Marowak, and Kangaskhan. It is speculated that Cubone is a slightly older baby Kangaskhan. By linking the life cycle of Kangaskhan to the previously mentioned Marowak life cycle, a plausible explanation can be constructed. However, the true nature of Cubone's origins remains a mystery.

The side seats got great views and no obstruction at all.
I had a great time laughing at the gags, silly jokes and very well-rehearsed “accidents.” The pre-show was a little confusing at first but really fun to see the casts up close and interact with them.

Right in the center of the 1st row! I can see every details of each actors expressions, their spits were directly in my face (no wonder a lot of people wore a mask in the front lol).
I was not expecting myself to love this show so much. It is heartwarming, heart-wrenching and hilarious at the same time. At the end of it I was weeping uncontrollably…with a smile on my face. Amazing casts and stage design. Highly recommend this show!

I got this for a Wednesday afternoon show, and the seat was the last row of orchestra but the view still very good, no obstruction at all.
Sean Hayes is absolutely brilliant, I almost forgot I’m watching an actor and really believed I’m seeing Oscar Levant. I cannot imagine how hard it is to play Rhapsody in Blue - while in character - everything day…so so impressed. The length of the show is a sweet 1h 45 mins and I was totally lost in it. Really hoping I can spend more time watching him on stage.

Amazing seat right in the middle with great views of the entire stage and close enough to see each actors facial expressions.
As much as I enjoy looking at the casts and has been a fan of most of Aaron Sorkin’s works; it was a little hard for me to be fully concentrated and not keep my mind from wandering during the show. Perhaps you have to be already familiar with the original Camelot to be fully invested in this revival?

That's all the recaps, I have no complaints and am so grateful to be able to see the shows with a fraction of the original costs. I do feel a bit sad to see some of the seats empty due to whatever reason; hopefully with the summer tourist season the shows can see a big boost in audiences!

So this morning my FYP shows me this church-to-house renovation by Nikki Ross, a 24 year old Canadian photographer featured by ApartmentTherapy.
The comments are what you’d expect: “I’m too poor to watch this video” / “how old are you??” / “does this girl own an app or something” etc. I had the same questions so I did some digging, because a quote from the video stuck out at me: “Over the last *6 years*, my fiancé and I have basically converted every square inch of this place into our dream home.”
Record scratch, because girlfriend looks as if 6 years ago she was attending a 7th grade dance. (LinkedIn confirms she graduated high school in 2017. And tbh she doesn’t look much older than that now - see photo 2)
So who’s the fiancé? Canadian photographer and director Matt Barnes, who’s best known work is Ariana’s Dangerous Woman cover, and who in this Sharp Magazine profile from 2014 was listed as 31 years old.

Suddenly, the muchhh younger (and younger looking) girlfriend, giant trampoline in the middle of the house, the giant kid slide, tons of arcade games, and sleeping on little kid sheets is a little less ~qUiRkY hipster~ and a little more -Beth Anne voice- “mmmmmm what’s goin’ on?”
Let’s give the benefit of the doubt though, cause there are at least two little kids in the home. Despite Nikki’s video calling them “their kids” it seemed unlikely they were hers, so who’s were they?
Answer: Lady Shelley Hayes, a Canadian designer known for flower crowns worn by the likes of…Ariana Grande. That’s weird.
It looks like Matt dumped his wife and got with Nikki sometime in 2019/2020 which was a tough time for a lot of marriages, but since Lady doesn’t follow either of them on IG and the church house is a 14 hour drive from Toronto, I suspect it wasn’t an easy separation.
Lessons learned: ALWAYS remember the internet is a highlight reel and influencers will use all the spin they can to make their situations sound as good as possible.
tldr: If they seem too young to have amassed wealth independently, they probably didn’t.

This talk about how much weaker characters get with age is quite annoying and really tedious. Here's how it is, just because a character is old does not automatically equal that they have grown weaker.

Firstly One Piece is fiction and doesn't always translate very well to real life, just 'cause people get slower and weaker with age irl does not mean they have to do it in fiction, they can but it's not a requirement.
Then we have statements about characters reflecting on themselves and the strength they used to have. But there's world of differences between Rayleigh telling his wife in confidence that he isn't the man he once was...

Saying a certain character is automatically weaker 'cause they're older would be like saying another character is automatically weaker because they are or have gotten fat. Just because that was the case for Gecko Moria.

Both of them got fat, however only one of them is continuously shit on by the fanbase and characters within the series alike as a pathetic weakling while the other is portrayed as a rampaging monster and an equal to the Strongest Creature Kaido. Not to mention has one of the most insanely devoted followings on this specific subreddit lol
So what I'm saying is just 'cause one character got weaker with age does not mean another has to, just like one character doesn't have to get weaker by becoming overweight just 'cause that happened to another.
So until we see actual proof that someone like Garp was gotten considerably weaker in any way, he is still the same monster all pirates know as the Devil. Garp himself saying he’s gotten weaker ’cause of age means less than zero. It’s the same case as King Bradley in Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood saying he’s getting slower with age. He says that, then proceeds to absolutely dominate anyone he fights.

Garp saying he's lost his touch after annihilating an entire town with a Conqueror's Nuke is literally Oda poking fun at all the naysayers who think every old legend in One Piece belongs in a retirement home.

It's word for word described that old characters in One Piece aren't necessarily limited by the physical restraints they would be in real life. They can be, as in the case of Whitebeard's illness and Rayleigh being hardcore retired and spending the last 20 years drinking and gabbling. But they absolutely don't have to and it should definitely not be taken as the norm.
And if that still doesn't convince some of you think about it from Oda's writing standpoint. What do you think is more fun for Oda? Letting his imagination flow freely and have the option to make any character as strong or weak as he wishes? Or constantly having to remind himself that some characters are out of their prime and therefor aren't allowed to be as badass as the others?
Like come tf on, this should be an open and shut case. So when you make your tier lists, stop placing old characters 12 dimensions away from their younger selves.
